The best restaurants serving British food in Havering London

I've been coming here since they opened and have been getting their takeaway afternoon tea since lockdown which has always been lovely. I have always received 4 slices for each of the sandwiches however I'm really disappointed that they have now cut the sandwiches to just 2 slices of each, so basically just 1 sandwich per person instead of 2. For £34.00 to collect, it's not really worth it now unfortunately. Also asked for no currents in the scones but received ones with them so they couldnt be eaten. Still tastes lovely though.

Clean, tidy cafe with fast friendly service and hot tasty food. Popped in for a late breakfast and a Mocha. Food was delicious and the Mocha was very nice. Staff were friendly and attentive and the whole cafe and kitchen was immaculate. As a trained chef I always look at the cleanliness of the kitchen, floors, counters etc and it was spot on. My breakfast was cooked perfectly and was so nice that I stayed for some delicious apple pie and ice cream and a cup of tea! Would highly recommend.

This is a great cafe, really pleased we visited. Great choice of food offered and everything was really fresh. Very generous portions and service was brilliant. Will definitely go back and definitely recommend!

Thankfully the food and portions are far better than Len’s jokes. Can also sit outside, plenty of on site parking too. Enjoy!

We never received an item. I called them up directly. They made out I was lying because they take photos of the bags before leaving the restaurant. I told them to check their photos then, they found the chicken wrap still at the restaurant!

5/5. The Best full English breakfast ever. Where do I start? The staffs were amazing. The full breakfast I had was cooked to perfection. Everything was fresh , grilled and extremely very healthy. Thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast and as I said to the staff member, it was the best I have ever had at any Premier Inn hotel and even better than breakfast, I’ve had at Hilton!

I haven't been here since before COVID. Before our office closed, which was very close to Poppins, myself and colleagues used to have lunch here regularly. Whilst visiting Romford i took my granddaughter here last Saturday. I was over the moon to see the same friendly people here and as always the food was delicious, served fast and hot! Great value for money and a very big varied menu. If you go once i think you will return! Even my 5 year old granddaughter who is a fussy eater asked if we could go again ❤️You can get takeaway too. This is a small family business. The staff are friendly and the food delicious. Try the wonderful cheesecake if you go and you should go.

Nice little Cafe to hang out while waiting on the bus or doing laundry or just to stop and get a good meal. The waitress was kind and not pushy at all. The kitchen staff were kind and quick to get your meal completed and served. I'll make the walk from the hotel to come back.

Best fish and chip shop around for miles! Great service, staff are always helpful and the food is 10/10, always!

Found this place after parking our car in the shopping hall to collect something locally. Looks like a very traditional, well established place, with extensive menu. We ordered the roast of the day and a steak & kidney pudding. The cafe was very busy but it was still too long a wait for our food. The s&k pudding came out eventually, but my roast was about 10 mins behind it. Food was home-cooked, tasty and a good portion. But they do need to speed up service and bring all meals out together. They seem to have lots of staff, so not sure where the problem lies, perhaps the menu is too big. Liked the place overall and would go again, but not if I was on a schedule!

Regular customer food good but the small portion of chips was so small I asked the boy to add more. He declined to add more .
