having being recently moved into the area i have tried most of fish and chip shops in the area, and this one stood out to me the most because the service was the best i’ve had and the food i had to wait for 4-5 minutes but it was very well worth it as i know it was cooked fresh and nicely, and they even gave my child a free lollipop which made his day

Found my self here by chance as visiting locally and not from the area. But felt I had to give these guys a big thumbs up, a very pleasant and friendly chip shop and honestly the food was fantastic. Thanks again and look forward to popping in when I’m next passing A+

The chips are unbeatable and the haddock was fresh and cooked perfectly. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Was a lovely experience and definitely recommended

We have not been a few times to Posidens and have yet to be let down. The food has be fantastic each time and at a reasonable price, while the staff are always friendly and happy to give accurate advice around portion sizes when ordering. We will certainly come back here regularly.

Phoned through order only to be told only cod tonight …… ordered 3 large cod - wanted 1 large skate middle Seemed to be varying sizes we received one a lot smaller than others also a large Kebab chips were dry and not particularly hot overall seemed expensive for mediocre fish and chips shop was very empty for a Saturday night as well

Terrible service. Young man seving seemed more interested in having banter with his mates than providing a good service to others there. Shame as was an excellent family run place before properly run by the patriarch of the family. After many years going there I will not now bother

Stopped by on my way home from work and honestly was the best decision I made all week. The food is absolutely amazing and great customer service, staff were friendly and welcoming. Definitely would recommend to friends or family and 100% will be coming back, my new favourite local!

You would think Friday evening chips would taste fresh...dry and fish luke warm fish...husband had pie not hot only warm

I went to Poseidon’s to grab a kebab wrap. The lad behind the fish bar was extremely friendly and even gave me some chips and chilli sauce to try. He was proud of the home made sauce and was right to be, absolutely awesome sauce and the kebab was superb. Their fish and chips are the best in the area without a doubt aswell.

Came and bought so fish and chips and one large donner and it was sublime the donner was very juicy and full of flavour and the chips was nice and crispy on the outsides and very fluffy on the inside

Stopped here for fish and chips, waited 25 minutes as they served phone up customers as well as walk in, even when my fish was ready girl still answered the phone! Terrible service servers either over worked or uninterested

Poseidon’s Fishbar was the best shop I visited in London! Being from the states my family and I were eager to try fish and chips. The staff were so welcoming and the food was delicious! Highly recommend stopping by!

Visited with the family on Good Friday, the place was busy as hell but service was excellent and compliant with current measures... food OMG I don’t think I’ve had better Fish & Chips in 50 years.... and I couldn’t finish my portion the fish was so big !! just gorgeous and the other food looked great too... can’t wait to go back.

visited Poseidon fish bar for a sneaky cod n chips for my lunch what can i say hats off guys top job fish was massive batter some of the best in Essex i has ever tasted flakey white chunks of delicious fish and the chips were excellent shop is extremely clean and the staff were attentive friendly and extremely professional well done for giving me the best fish and chips I've eaten in the past 10 years

My family and I have been visiting this local delicacy at least once a month for over 20 years and can honestly say that we have never had a bad takeaway ever.The family run business has and continues to be, appreciative and courteous of our business and importantly provides quality freshly cooked food to order.I can not recommend this establishment high enough for the ‘guilty’ pleasure everyone needs every now and then.Barry J

This Fish & Chip shop has been here for years and has been my local for a long time. I recently visited again after a long hiatus and found that the food was nice. The chips could have been cooked for slightly longer if I'm honest, but that was nothing three minutes in the airfryer couldn't fix (as far as I know, this isn't typical). I also had a veggie burger and some curry sauce for the chips. My one gripe would be that they could offer more for vegetarians, but what they did have was fine.The food was also served very quickly. I would definitely visit again.

My husband order Large fish with chips the fish was a medium or even small. The chips was tasty. Such a shame as the last two times having fish from here we have been disappointed. Is this shop under new management now ?

Estando en la zona visitando amigos paramos para la comida. Bien me alegro de que no, qué tienda encantador y amable. Las cosas que estamos haciendo nosotros reír mientras esperábamos para nuestra comida. El pescado estaba delicioso y mi marido dijo el kebabs estaban deliciosos. Nuestros amigos nos visitan cogimos pescado y patatas fritas también a ellos, me dijeron que siempre conseguir desde allí. Sin duda vamos a volver allí de nuevo.

Literally just had it. Sitting here stuffed. Always a decent bit of fish from there, the pies are good. The service is great and the place is clean

Hemos comido de Poseidons muchas veces como amigos que visitar en la zona y lo puedo recomendar a cualquiera.

Desde mi última revisión en junio de 2016 he dado este fish and chips otra prueba y debo decir, la última media docena de veces que he probado, la comida ha sido muy buena. Las patatas fritas son mucho mejor de lo que solía ser, y los peces ya no grasienta. Volveré a visitar regularmente.

Pretty good Fish & Chips. Would go back again. My girlfriend had a kebab which she enjoyed. Portions are reasonable for the money

Fuimos allí en junio a mitad de la tarde. Como todo el día se preguntó lo que sería la mitad de la tarde. Alguien que conocemos dicho lo bueno que es ahora, así que pensamos que intentarán y dijeron las patatas fritas de pescado y siempre fresco a la orden. Yo comí patatas fritas pescado bacalao para ser preciso marido había patatas fritas salchichas. El hombre que sinceramente parecía que necesitaba un afeitado y ordenado, nos sirve, Él hizo una vuelta para cocinar el pescado pero no podía oír los sonidos de cocinar. Creo que el pescado había sido calentado no frescos como normalmente recogida de pescado caliente directamente de la freidora

Although this is the nearest fish and chip shop to me, I prefer to jump in the car and go to Oh My Cod as their food is much much better than this shop which is a shame as this shop is more convienient.

I go poseidons all the time because you get good value for money. The portions of chips are huge and the fish is lovely. Doner Kebabs are my favourite so you can't beat a Doner and a portion of chips on a Friday

I've tasted kebabs and fish from many different shops however this has to be the best around. Freshly prepared food waiting for you to take away with you and also the chips were brill. Always fresh and crispy. A must try shop in the area.

I was looking for somewhere to get lunch from and passed this fish shop . For starters the staff were very friendly and helpful , the food was served quickly and was piping hot . The fish was very fresh and the chips were perfectly cooked . I will defiantly be stop here for lunch again . Thank you a great lunch . I recommend this fish shop to anyone who enjoys there fish and chips .

Fish and chips the other night was rubbish fish not bad chips absolutely disgusting years ago always good gone downhill every time I try staff not bad service quick but chips ruined the meal again

The location - Hornchurch Ardleigh Green - has many takeaway options but this fish and chip shop is by far the best. It is expensive but the quality and choice of fish is excellent and the portions are large.It also does a variety of other dishes - burgers, kebabs, you name it - and a selection of salads.Popular and busy .
