I have been a regular customer of Poppins at Romford for many years. The service and food has always been excellent with very professional staff and manager. I would thoroughly recommend this cafe.

This is a new discovery for me. Walked past the place many times but never been before now. The staff were very friendly and happy to help. Inside was much bigger than it appears from the street. Good selection of food and the price is good value for Romford. I will certainly return.

Nice, clean cafe. a bit pricey for this meal at £11 but I suppose that.s normal nowdays.

I had lunch with friends here, the service was good, I ordered a toasted sandwich. When it arrived it just had about 10 crisps with it, no salad. It tasted ok, but it could have been cooked longer and it could have looked better on the plate. I know it’s not a restaurant, more a cafe but the food I had was very bland. I have eaten here before and the food was better then.

Nice cafe but with scaffolding on the pavement out front off cafe dangerous getting in and out due to having tables and chairs in the way pedestrians have to walk inthe road not good

A great food place here slap bang in the middle of the Romford Town Centre, run by my now good Turkish friend and his Crew, Ozzie. English/American menus, very tasty I thought. Their Cod Fish and Chips is to die for and comes VERY recommended by me. Yummy! You have to get in EARLY on Fridays to make sure Moses, Tony, Ozzie and his other cook Ouzzie [ forgive my spelling but I don't speak Turkish you see ] don't run out of cod fish first though each week! Haha.. Very popular dish.. Excellent food service and noisy but warm and comfortable atmosphere in here. Loadsa OAP'S use it too. Kiddies get spoiled, ( free lollypop sometimes, from Ozzie too, when you pays your bill! )... they'll love all the good old fashioned ice creams and sweets. Children have their own meal menu too. Come and help us fill it up - more! Creates more jobs in the economy! Also, Ozzie takes great pride in looking after many of the customers personally too during his busy days ( with market days on Wednesdays Thursdays, Fridays/Saturdays too? with Sundays Xmas time as well too in Romfords famous Market Square since 'Bad' King John Warranted it from approx 1215ad ) which is rare these days seeing he is the proprietor of the Cafe/Restaurant as well. Pop around and try it. Enjoy. My views of course as ever. Tell 3 of your freinds if you liked it of course. J

Came for breakfast here today and was extremely disappointed. One of the waiters was very rude and abrupt towards me when I was asking questions about the type of meat (I don’t like pork so was asking about alternatives). She then proceeded to tell me to hurry up as she’s got other people waiting for her and I was horrified with the aggression she had towards me for no reason. The food was tasteless and very greasy. Would not recommend, go elsewhere!!

Okayish food. Won’t be Spending my money here anymore. Was a family oriented place. However has changed, quality & quantity of food has decreased.

Used to love this cafe but so expensive now. Got poppins mix and tea and I had two toast scrabble egg mushrooms and beans and small coke. Cost 20.20 this is no right. We cannot justify the prices now.

My daughter and I eat there whenever we are in Romford. The food is lovely. The staff are always so friendly and make you feel welcome

Generally not a bad establishment to eat in However the portions have got smaller recently and they put water and plenty of ice in the coke to make it go further. I have actually heard the head waitress tell new waitresses to make sure that they put plenty of ice in the coke to make it go further They are really tight they only give you one very thin serviette You need at least 2 or 3 especially when eating something greasey.I do understand that some people steal them but surely at least two would help.you shouldn't have to ask. The staff are friendly but like vultures You hardly finish your meal and they snatch your plate away as if they are on a production line.ln spite of all this it is one of the best places to eat in Romford Nothing has changed much since the about reviews The got rid of the head waitress mentioned above . Although she told the staff to put plenty of ice in the Coke She was very good at her job Now she has gone they still put to much ice in the Coke The other week I watched their technic If you order 3 glasses of Coke They line the glasses up Then fill them about 3 quarters of the way up with ice and then add a slice of lemon So in the end you end up with very little coke

A great little place In central romford.

The food was really good I and my friend enjoyed it! Only problem was we were too close to the door and customers kept leaving the door open, it was a very cold day! Staff were lovely, excellent service. Highly recommended. ❤

Popped in here on route to West Ham game, excellent breakfast served by a lovely waitress, it was very reasonably priced too

What a wonderful find, this little cafe, Poppins served up an amazing breakfast at such a reasonable price. The menu specialised in a bespoke menus, ableing you to have all your favourite foods. The staff were very helpful, efficient and friendly. We will most definitely be going back the next time we visit London. Well done Poppins !!

We’ve lived in Romford for 9 years and Poppins is a firm fav cafe of ours. It’s spotless, welcoming, massive portions and really fast and fresh food. The staff are professional, welcoming and very attentive. We always adapt the meals from the menu for the kids and nothing is too much trouble. They have small cutlery for kids too. The deserts are really good too. Thank you poppins staff!

I ordered Jacket potatoes with Prawns and it wasn't cooked properly. Mocha is quite nice The staff are not very welcoming This is my first visit and will not go there again.

I had the late breakfast, which wasn't very nice, sausage was soggy, bacon was very fatty, left most of it. Ordered a cappuccino which is the worst I've ever had. Not sure if the machine needed cleaning or they were just mean with the coffee beans but it was like dishwater. Won't be repeating that anytime soon

Great staff, friendly and helpful. Life saving bacon sandwich and cup of tea. Just as it should be and proper ketchup. No wonder the place is busy.

Great cafe with a warm welcome every time. Great place to stop for a cuppa, snack, lunch or breakfast. Proper mug of tea with the tea bag left in to brew.

The full English breakfast and breakfast sandwich is so delicious. The cappuccino I drank here was the best I’ve ever had, it was so good! Wholeheartedly recommend and the service is really quick and welcoming!!

Absolutely love it here used to come here every day before work but unfortunately started getting late shifts so cannot come as often at the moment my favourite place to eat so friendly feels like home

Nice place, been here a few times reasonably priced and food is good, waiting staff are friendly and helpful. Seems clean, as it's in Romford shopping centre it doesn't have its own car park. I give four stars as there was some drilling and banging from building work going on.

This little café in Romford produces quality food time and time again. If you want a proper cuppa, then this is the place to come. The friendly staff are lovely and everything is cooked freshly to order. You must try their omelettes - they are divine.

I had to kill some time waiting for my car. I was hungry and wanted something filling but not too heavy. Chose this cafe, I was impressed with the menu selections. They have the early bird full English breakfast options, I went with the cheese omelette which you can choose to have with a jacket potatoe, chips or salad. I chose the salad and pineapple suprise smoothie. I was very impressed with the food and the service was great as well. Really enjoyed this and will come back again.

Food and atmosphere is good, Only downfall was that they tried charging us for an extra coffee when we only had one. You have to be careful and check the receipt before paying.

This little café is quite simply the best place to eat in Romford. The owner and his team provide outstanding food and outstanding service at very affordable prices. I have never had a bad meal here. The portions are generous and the quality of the bacon is top notch! Try the ' children's ' (it's HUGE!) Knickerbocker junior. Yummy!

Recently started coming here, my third visit and I’m so happy with it every time. Staff are so friendly and welcoming and honestly make you feel so at ease while here, food is always fast and of the best quality and Im a chef myself so I really do analyse these things, I always tip as they do deserve it, the waitresses are so lovely. My go-to cafe near work. Very popular cafe with lots of regular customers. Good selection of all-day breakfasts, brunches & grills. Can customise any set menu items upon request, they're always happy to oblige! Nice barista coffee too! Portion sizes are good & very reasonable prices. Great customer service, quick turn around, free mints, usable toilet

We ordered two breakfast along with two American coffees to a lady with black hair and wearing a pink redish lipstick, however they served to white coffees and we send them back specifying that we ordered to American coffees therefore black coffees and without milk. The lady who took the order wearing the pink redish lipstick came to the table with aggressive attitude and tell us off because with ordered coffee and they served coffee with milk .. my wife replied back that we asked for American coffee and is a black coffee otherwise we would have ordered white coffee.. we were almost to leave the place after her act but we didn’t as we were on a schedule to go somewhere. The lady ruined the morning mood with a very poor aggressive Attitude and poor customer service.. we were regulars to this place and after today we will never go back there, they lost two customers.

Visit regularly for lunch very pleasant staff and food is reasonably priced and nice quality. Always manage to get a table, which are cleaned in between customers.

Insist that chips and salad are with most items and you pay for them even if you don't want them! Service is marvellous though, portions are huge and price very good.

Very impressed I travel all over the country in my job and love to try the local Café’s; This cafe is right up their for me as you get a good portion and it’s great quality! The staff were quick to help and take my order! And you could see your food being cooked whilst you waited and how clean the kitchen area was! The menus on the tidy tables were clearly priced with a nice colourful menus with pictures of the food that they serve! I just wish I was working here longer! Definitely value for money 👌
