The best restaurants serving British food in West End City of London, Westminster London

Just dreadful. The long wait and the food which was beneath average. Awful service as well. The waiters couldn't care less...

I went expecting great vibes and lots of fun. I got a quiet place with a slow moody vibe - I didn't get excited by what I saw. I maybe expected too much. I won't return based in current experiences.

The bar is best to be visited from 4-6pm. Not only you will get there at happy hour, meaning a selection of perfectly crafted cocktails for £7 each, you will not have to queue up for a place at the bar, as you will in the evening. The bar is under ground and is very intimate and fashionable, when not crowded.

This was where my hen party started and it was a really good venue for a Saturday afternoon. Quite quiet and lots of space, and all very separated! Not cheap but worth it. Bar a little slow considering how quiet it was

Lovely place. Decent food. the staff helped me out when i needed some help with the internet connection as well. Very nice.

We had a great lunch here on a very cold day. The chicken hot pot and the pig in blankets on a hot roll are very recommendable.

Not my usual style - criticising the service received on a forum like this, but as I have received no communication from this hotel since our stay in December, I feel it is now best way forward. My wife and I attended the London Palladium just before Christmas, and to book a hotel literally around the corner, was perfect for us. The location of this hotel is excellent. The ambience of the hotel was great, the breakfast was lovely, and all went well... Until we tried to use the hot water in the bathroom sink. It was stone cold. We called a member of staff late at night, and they confirmed it was faulty. To be clear, we DID have hot water for the bath/shower, but not having it in the sink was not ideal, or hygienic, especially after using the 'facilities'. We reported this at check-out the next morning and although an apology was received, the staff member was unable to offer any small discount or other sweetener. But said he would ask someone to contact us. Over a month later, we still have heard nothing. In my own work, service is extremely important, and I notice things when they aren't up to speed. We would have been happy to be given a 10% discount on the cost of our stay, which could have been refunded to us. Or even (although less useful) a discount on a future stay. But we have heard nothing at all, which isn't great. Hence the low star rating.

Came for the Fish and Chips that we had heard about and we were not disappointed. We tried to visit a couple of years ago but weren’t able. Our young server Victoria , was very helpful and took care of us the entire time. Friendly and personable. Highly recommend!!!

The desserts are delicious, the service was extremely kind considering it was very busy, they didn't show any resentment to that. Waited 30 minutes because it was busy and I'm glad I did. A great place to sit and relax in Selfridges after shopping but make sure to come before everyone else does to avoid mayhem 😂!!

I had a very disappointing experience at this coffee shop. We noticed a promotion displayed at the entrance, which drew us in to sit and enjoy a meal. However, from the moment we walked in, the service was incredibly subpar. Our waitress appeared to have no knowledge of the menu, which was frustrating. When we inquired about the promotion, she informed us that it was no longer valid because it hadn't been removed and was only available until 12:00 PM—this was not communicated upfront. We ordered a cake and calamari, and both items were substandard. The cake tasted stale and clearly wasn’t freshly made, and the calamari lacked any flavor. To make matters worse, the coffee was lukewarm at best. Throughout the meal, our waitress, Nidhibed, failed to check in with us or ensure that we were satisfied with our food or service. This experience was deeply disappointing, and it is clear that significant improvements are needed in both the quality of the food and the level of customer service. It's unacceptable that a promotion was misleadingly advertised, and the overall dining experience did not come close to meeting even basic standards.

Mysigt ställe med god mat. Mycket trevlig personal. Stort utbud av dryck. Vi kommer gärna tillbaka igen. Ett mycket rekommenderat ställe att besöka nör du är i London.

La advertencia era que el vaso en la foto sucio por lo que bebió una cerveza orgánica de la botella, decente. El personal del bar y los clientes, incluido yo del polvo en el aire, aunque bonita chimenea. Entonces la comida, la burratta jalada parecía vómito aunque sabía mejor, el pollo coreano tenía poco sabor asiático y el único plato digno era el bacalao rebozado, así que quizás necesite atenerse a lo básico.

Una hora de la mañana muy agradable, relajante o así charlando con mi amigo en Arthurs que pensamos que era encantador, muy bien diseñado bastante elegante y ligero, muy cómodo. No estaba demasiado ocupado y nos recibieron cálidamente y amable personal atento. Felizmente nos sirvió un poco de agua del grifo y pedí un té. Queríamos un pequeño bocadillo (antes de la hora del almuerzo) así que pedí las patatas parmesanas (laterales) y judías verdes (soy vegano) y ambos deliciosos, me encantaron, simplemente perfecto. Es realmente un ambiente encantador. Nunca nos sentimos apresurados, a pesar de que cuando salimos a la 1 pm había una cola y estaba mucho más ocupado. El personal era maravilloso - tuvimos un tiempo encantador gracias - muy impresionado.
