Thr Mad Bishop & Bear is a classic pub sitting above Paddington Station's concourse. Many people miss it, making it a favorite of the locals. It was open at 8 for a great breakfast before we took the Elizabeth Line to Heathrow.

Went here for dinner. It was very quiet the waitress said its normally like that on Friday's. The food was all very nice Braked brie followed by shepherd's pie with pieces of lamb rather than mince it was very tasty followed by chocolate tart for me and ice cream for my husband. It was quite expensive but I suppose that's London prices. Would go there again if in the area

Restaurant to avoid, we were well received by an employee the first time, he gave us water in a carafe. The second time, a very unpleasant welcome from the boss who told us that he did not have a carafe of water. He offered us beer, which was not on the menu. He went to get a bottle from the nearby Italian restaurant, and gave it to us without a glass. We were sick following, We noticed the dirt in the premises, particularly the toilets, during our second visit.

Idéalement situé à la sortie de l'Underground, ce restaurant offre une grande commodité pour les voyageurs. Le repas est correct, mais sans plus. Il ne rivalise pas avec des enseignes de restauration rapide comme Burger King, qui offrent un goût plus marqué. Cependant, le personnel est très sympathique et le temps d'attente est raisonnable, ce qui rend l'expérience globalement agréable.

Nos alojamos en el Point - Un hotel de al lado y vinimos aquí para el desayuno las dos mañanas de nuestra estancia. La calidad de la comida y la amabilidad del servicio fueron geniales. El único inconveniente fue el pavo, tocino que no era para mi gusto. Volveremos a comer aquí la próxima vez que usemos el hotel seguro.

Llegué para el té de la tarde en febrero, muy golpeado y falta con la comida. los sándwiches son muy pequeños, obtendrías más relleno y un mejor tamaño de una oferta de comida de supermercado. El de pollo estaba muy sabroso, el de tomate tenía pan empapado así que me hizo preguntarme cuando se hizo, el de pepino es muy estándar, el de ternera tenía un poco tan delgado de carne de res que no se podía saborear igual con el salmón, el pan se sentía como si hubiera sido refrigerado después de que se hizo el bocadillo ya que se habían secado por fuera. Los bollos estaban buenos, lo más destacado de todo fue el bollo de frutas con mermelada de fresa, el matcha solo sabía liso y parecía que el matcha era solo para color. Los pasteles estaban bien, el macarron estaba bien hecho y descrito como de temporada en sabor, no sería capaz de decirte qué sabor era y sabía extrañamente salado, la tarta de zanahoria se sentía mal cocida y stogy con un sabor extraño y de nuevo no era muy dulce, la gelatina tenía un sabor ligero de mango y lichi y era lo suficientemente agradable, el coco y la frambuesa era el mejor y tenía un buen sabor. En general, se sintió decepcionante, ya que hay tantos tés de buenas tardes disponibles en todo Londres que hacen cosas increíbles.

Incredibly disappointing - just truly awful. We visited using a Virgin Experience Days voucher for Sunday roast with bottomless red wine which cost £90. We were sat at a table for nearly 20 minutes with no drink so asked for one. After ordering the lunch we were given two side plates and a small sharer board of beef, vegetables and two Yorkshire puddings. The portions were small and you were not offered anymore. Not that we would have accepted it because the food was not great and was lukewarm. After our first drink we had to ask for refills as no one was remotely interested in serving us. We grabbed any waiter we could but eventually gave up and left early. Special shout out goes to the waitress with the blonde ponytail who was incredibly rude - even rolling her eyes when she was directed to our table to serve us. We complained at the end, had the service charge removed and refused their offer of a complimentary drink. Life is too short and I wouldn’t want to spend another moment of my life in this place.

Fresh and delicious fish and chips!!! Nice and friendly service with a smile 😊. We will return for sure.

Visited Lite Bite Cafe Bar a few times during my holiday in London—both during busy hours and quieter moments—and each time was a fantastic experience. The staff were consistently warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel right at home. The food was absolutely phenomenal—flavourful, fresh, and clearly made with care. What really stood out was the exceptional service: the team went above and beyond, regularly checking in and ensuring we had everything we needed without ever feeling intrusive. A true gem of a cafe that I’d return to in a heartbeat!

This was the 6th hotel bed in 17 days. We were looking for a spot that was convenient to Heathrow, but still gave us a night in London. Each preceding hotel bed was somewhere on the Goldilocks spectrum. The first was too soft, the second was too hard, there was one that I could count the springs in the bed with my spine. The bed at POP was so comfortable I slept through the night for the first time on the trip. The room was astonishingly quite given where it was. The low rumble of the train was no bother. We actually didn’t want to get out of bed in the morning because it was so comfortable. The pub itself is great. The food was good. The Guiness was perfect. We made some new friends in the pub. The location in town is ideal. You can get anywhere you want from Paddington. In a less that 24 hour trip, we saw a play at Shakespeare’s Globe, another show at the Phoenix Theater, took a walk in Kensington Gardens, had time for Sunday roast in the pub, and slept 8 hours in that awesome bed. I fly from the states to go to Cardiff, via Heathrow. I think from now on, when I get off the train in Paddington, I stop here for a pint before I catch my train to Cardiff or the airport. And if I have enough time, I’ll stay the night at the Pride of Paddington.

Expensive coffee and it was undrinkable, my partner and I threw them away. Butter taste like they hadn't cleaned the coffee heads. Really poor
