Good welcome and service. The waiter Manuel was very attentive. The food is good and well portioned. ++ Mac and cheese

I didn't eat anything, so no review. The staff was a bit overwhelmed, but I still have to praise Katia very much...very relaxed, always with a nice saying on her lips and a loving manner.

Instead of watching the Tottenham game, watch it loudly at the pub^^ Half worried and half excited, the Fish and Chips were better than I expected. If you come to the UK, you should drink Guinness draft beer every day^^

My friend and I enjoyed a delicious dinner. I had 3 small plates and she had the mushroom chili. Everything was delightful. Susma was so helpful and accommodating, even when we arrived early for our reservation. We plan to bring a group back in September 25!

Food was delicious but seriously overpriced. Only ones in the restuarant part of the pub and yet service was incredibly slow. Homeless people kept eratically coming in and out to use the toilet from the street which was quite scary, no staff around to stop them.

Met a mate here for a pint. He was late, having missed it completely with the scaffolding outside. It didn’t matter, as they had the cricket on the telly. Being a Greene King pub I enjoyed a pint of Level Head whilst waiting.

We were a group of 12 arriving for a hearty meal after a long London walk. We booked in advance with Stefano and he was brilliant at responding to us and taking our menu orders in advance. On the day, the pub staff were friendly, welcoming and very organised and all the group were well satisfied with their chosen meals. Thank you for being so efficient.

Popped in for a drink. Popped to the toilets. What the actual...? I would put money on that the toilets in a prison are maintained better than these! Holy Moly! Expensive, no atmosphere. Staff member was polite. Fix the toilets!

This Pub is perfect. It has typical English food at a very good price and Spanish beer, which is always appreciated. The atmosphere is very familiar and the service is very welcoming. Manuel, treated us great and served us wonderfully, he is a great professional who makes dinner and communication much easier. In short, it is 100% recommended, we will surely return!! A complete success.

This could be a really good pub. But we have been twice now and each time they have had no real ale on the pumps. The staff are friendly enough but they need to sort the beer situation out

we booked a table for two on a tuesday night around christmas but didn’t need to book as there was plenty of room and most tables were walk-ins. we were served by manuel who was so lovely and friendly, very attentive and helpful. the food was lovely, especially the turkey dinner, although the “small plates” were a little smaller than expected - we had the turkey croquettes and camembert dumplings, both of which only had two pieces each though they were still tasty. the cocktails were also great, overall highly recommend!

I was there with others for a reunion. Slightly disappointed as one of my favourite beers was off, luckily GK IPA was still going as was the Neck Oil. Good atmosphere and good company until about 18:30 when I had to leave for another rendezvous with family. The only downside was the till refused to accept my free drink welcome voucher for domestic reason or another which could not be worked out why no matter what the manager or the bar assistant could do. Apart from that a very pleasant few hours there.

It is a fantastic pub located just outside of Paddington Station. It is a Victorian-style pub with a wonderful atmosphere and a wide range of cocktails, wine, and beer. They have several gin-based drinks on the menu, all of which are amazing. The food here is also something you should consider. The Steak Pie and Sticky Toffee Pudding are outstanding! They have a good selection of traditional "pub grub" that should satisfy any craving. I highly recommend stopping in if you are Paddington

We recently left the venue and had a great time! Typical pub dishes that were really tasty (much better than a pub we tried in Soho, which they described to us as "the pub district"). The staff were very kind, especially the waitress upstairs. Really recommended!

I had took an evening stroll in London after a day of conferences and noticed this place. The outside seating was full and figured I'd go inside, just to get a beer and maybe a meal. Little did I know that I was going to have the best meal I'd had all week in the upstairs dining area. Seems when I got inside, a Football match was on (Soccer as we in the U.S. call it.) Place was hopping. So the bartender waved me up and gave me a beer after a min or two. I noticed a seat had opened up outside and I went out and sat down. As it was busy after awhile, I noticed two older ladies looking for seats. As I was at a two spot table, I got up and went inside to free it up for them. When I went back inside, there were these stairs that went up and they drew me in. I could not believe that as active as it was downstairs with the match going on, it was quiet up there. They sat me at a nice table with a view and.. well... it was amazing! Staff were polite and quick with getting my drink, then took my order. The food was cooked as I had asked... the flavor.. Excellent! The appetizer came out and the main course followed just as I finished most of it. I was impressed. The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was top notch! Clean, comfortable and all was right. The day of meetings forgotten and I was relaxed. If and when I'm back in town... and it had been a long time since the last. Typical London pub, very nice and welcoming. The only negative note is that the staff is not very welcoming. You have to order at the counter, which we didn't initially understand. Despite this, the food is really excellent, we had the fish and chips which were delicious and the meat pie, which was also very good. Approved and recommended

Staff were good. Inside venue overly warm, close to uncomfortable. But; ordering food at 7.30 p.m and still no food at 8.40 p.m is totally unacceptable. After speaking to very apologetic staff who said our order (1 x burger, 1 x steak) was still 10 to 15 minutes off, we asked for a refund and left. Refund given with no problems. Good selection of drinks and nice pub like atmosphere, but kitchen needs to lift its game.

A decent pub with a cracking deal on spirits at the moment. Where you can get a double, for an extra £2.50. The chicken wings were delicious, best I've had in the area and worth making the visit for that alone. The visit was marred by the arrival of a begging woman, who cleverly stole a mobile that was on the table, by placing a magazine over it. Keep all your possessions ver close.

Nice pub to spend time with friends on a Sunday afternoon

Visiting the area and staying in a hotel down the road we ventured out looking for a drink not too far away stumbling upon here. A couple of drinks in we decided to stay for dinner..a great decision. The food is very reasonably priced and absolutely delicious, freshly cooked, good portions and definitely worth coming back again. An under-rated establishment. Sorry, no pics of the food, we ate it all.

Only one person working at bar and tables. Very friendly but needed a colleague as too much to do single handed. The worse meal I have eaten in years. Flatbread was cold, the cauliflower was like a mousse, food tepid and the roast beef inedible. The chips were okay. Obviously not cooked fresh but reheated and left too long before service. Plates not cleared. Seats stuck together with tape. This was a family gathering on June 30. Shockingly awful fare and reminiscent of the 1980’s. Fortunately we found Gail’s nearby for coffee and cake - altogether much better.

Embarrassing that they served the food, potatoes either Raw or not defrosted, Yorkshire pudding that knife couldn't get through, and meat was so tough, genuinely the worst excuse for food ever, the bar staff never even apologised when I spoke about it.

Above standard pubs. Clean, but not sterile. More locals than tourists. Upstairs, a quieter dining area. Nachos suitable football food, large portion, lots of side dishes, reasonably priced. You can also enjoy food outside.

Typical big city pub with a pleasant atmosphere. The food there was great, both visually and taste-wise. Great place to comfortably shorten the waiting time for the train (directly opposite Paddington station).

Had fish and chips and a draft here during a layover. Went to the next city full and satisfied!

I am NO relative of Alexander Fleming. Honest review LOL. Well clearly Alexander had good taste. Drinks were great and so was the food. Picture of empty plates as it was too good to let go cold and faff around taking pictures. Atmosphere is great it is an old pub and feels like stepping back in time... The is a telly for sports though. I was here on a Sunday and it was mellow and relaxing... Great looking out the window at the hustle and bustle. Table 11 is great as it is near the door but on a raised platform. The range of seating is great depending on your visit. Tall bar tables and chairs, proper table and chairs and snug tables and chairs at the back. The staff were very nice and the food arrived in good time and hot.

The atmosphere of the place is excellent, the food is very delicious for London (where the city's specialty is not food). Samantha's service was very good, she recommended places to visit in the city and very good dishes to eat, along with the desserts that are delicious. The vibe of this place is everything one expects to find in London. The prices are honestly not that cheap, but they are at the price of what food costs in the entire city.

Walked into this Quintessential English pub in Paddington during the big football match with friendly vibes and service. Across from St. Mary's hospital and frequented by Sir Alexander Fleming, the creator of penicillin back in the 1880s.

Last week during our city trip to London we had some drinks in this cafe a few evenings. We thought it was a very nice cafe with friendly staff. There is a real English atmosphere, cozy and inviting.

Very happy overall, great service will definitely come again.

We travelled to London for the weekend and visited this pub, great staff and very helpful. The food was great, very nice traditional pub by Paddington however I would suggest a makeover to live up the ambiance and bring back the heritage aspects of this lovely place.

Had Sunday roast there as our final meal before heading back to the states. Not sure if we can hold it against them or the whole British stereotype. The food was bland and largely inedible. But maybe that’s just British. The roast potatoes were actually pretty good. The roast itself was more tender than it looked but it looked like it was stamped with “Tod’s”. I think the Yorkshire pudding was good by Yorkshire pudding standards, which apparently is to say I don’t like Yorkshire pudding either. It was worth a try though. Oh, and don’t order a latte. Of the 30 lattes we’ve had in the last three weeks, this was the worst. By far. Some kind of instant powder mix I guess. They should have warned us. Prices not unreasonable I guess despite the food being deplorable. The waitress was as good as she could be. Ended up with several tables and she was hustling. Never got refills on our 8oz water glasses. But she was busy. Atmosphere is apparently a typical (now we know) chain Greene King pub. We like it well enough. It is what Americans think of when we think English pub. Maybe just stick to ordering pints of ale here.
