Blanche Eatery in City of London, Westminster

There seems to be a new place here now called the Victoria Food Hub? Very tasty food from Borneo and Malaysia. The service was so nice and accommodating. It's a shame that Google maps hasn't picked it up yet. We ordered a chicken wrap shawarma and fries. You could see that they were sliced ​​potatoes. Absolutely recommended! We'll be back because it's a very good value for money and DELICIOUS😋

Can't quite understand the poor reviews; assume something has changed. Salad here is absolutely amazing - fresh, well cooked/seasoned and varied. The manager is very friendly too.

Small pastry shop and cafeteria with artisan products, the place is small but pleasant to look at, in addition to all the delicious things they serve there! It is located in a very nice area where there are nice stores to see! In addition, Strutton Ground Street is a fantastic place in the Victoria area that is worth visiting! The attention of the employees has been so cordial! A favorite place in London!

Poor hygiene. I used to love carrot cakes from here, even when they shrunk the pieces. Last time I was there, I asked for two pieces, was told go to counter to pay while it was being packed. I paid, looked over and two pieces were being shoved into tiny box designed for one piece. Guy sneezes, not quite to side and then uses same hand to continue handling the cake pieces. EEEWW!!

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL BEYOND BELIEF! I am usually quite easily pleased, but this place is a joke. Ordered chicken asked for broccoli and potatoes. Chicken dry and hard as boot uncooked broccoli and revolting potatoes. I tried to eat but it was so bad l ended up leaving everything on the plate. Honest. It came to £9.55, for this rare gem of a place. Plus the guy at the tiil is damn rude!!!! Stay away.

The tarts and yellow cream domes were my favourite. The chocolate cakes were quite dry and felt like they weren't rich enough in flavour. Got all of these as take away so not much to say about the service.

I had a tomato cheese spinach dish of the day that was heated, but served lukewarm. Consistency was pretty runny. Not impressed. Daughter had a chicken scallop dish that wasn't good either, chicken was very dry. Neither of us finished. Not good for a £9 lunch.

Struggle to find good coffee shops around Victoria but this is friendly bright and clean with great coffee and cakes. First choice in that area for me now

We found this eatery on our last morning. Too bad or we would have been here every day for breakfast or lunch. Food was tasty and fresh. Not cheap, but affordable for the quality. The desserts are worth a look.

Un grupo de nosotros que trabajábamos en Londres nos detuvimos en el camino de regreso a nuestro hotel. Tuvimos cofees, tés y pasteles. Excelente servicio. Una elección razonable de tés de frutas. Pero lo más destacado fueron los pasteles. Una gran selección y algo libre de gluten también (uno de nuestro grupo es libre de gluten). Nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos y nos gustaría volver.

Really good place for lunch, with delicious and healthy salads. Really expensive though so not somewhere to go for lunch every day.

We kindly asked the staff to close the entrance door because of the freezing temperature and the lady behind the counter refused with the explanation that the Manager ordered the door to be kept opened. Then a male member of staff reminded her that they should close the door in case a customer requests. To our dismay, after few minutes, the Manager arrived and opened the door again. We, kindly, asked if the door could be kept closed because of the very low temperature and the Manager (wearing a jacket while serving, unshaved and looking like a homeless person) arrogantly refused arguing that he needed the door opened to attract customers. Well, you just lost many. The Manager stubbornly refused our pleas and we had nothing else to do but to leave immediately in disgust without finishing our meal. We issued a memo in our company to prevent anyone else to have the same awful experience we had at Blanche. Izabella Silverman

I and my girlfriend had a fab lunch here where we are the salad with some tea. They served us quickly the salad which was fresh and tasted okey. For 2 salads and 2 drinks it cost us £20 which was a bit steep in my view through

Dirty crockery, bland food, no seating upstairs so sat in their basement area. Put off lunch by the whiff of damp in the air. Unpleasant experience

The manager in charge ( a male ) is the most rude person I have never seen ( toward clientele and as well to his own staff ) . Was waiting for me coffe and literally he scream to the girls in front of clients making me feel in a very uncomfortable position . He treats the girls like a slaves and even once a girl on the till left crying behind the yard . Can not understand how in the 21st century . This is not the way to lead a bussines .

Nice place x your breackfast and also lunch or brunch. Very extensive choice in a healthy way. The courtesy is also not an option here and really you can enjoy your time.

Es un soberbio pequeño café en Strutton Ground, justo a la salida de la calle Victoria. La calle de atrás es una colección de tiendas locales y se siente un mundo lejos del bullicio y ajetreo de las oficinas de la calle Victoria.

Les gâteaux sont très bons et l'accueil est sympathique. Nous n'avons pas goûté les plats par contre.

Lovely customer service with delicious healthy food. You must go for the balsamic glazed roasted aubergine salad which compliments any of the various mains available. It feels cozy yet professional so all are welcome.

Llegamos como un grupo para el desayuno como desayuno en nuestro hotel estaba bastante pesado. Granola casera con fruta fresca era maravilloso y recomendado, huevos florentina era sabroso en un panecillo tostado. Pero aquellos que habían bagels parecieron demasiado duro, seco y mayormente incomible. La pantalla pastel se ve maravillosa, pero por desgracia sólo estábamos allí a las 8 a. m.

Es agitada Baja Strutton a la hora del almuerzo como personas atareado llevar comida. Y en la que necesitan a Blanche sirven rápido y no sin perder los principios de buen servicio. Las opciones son sencillas: la principal característica con un número de ventas. Hay servicio regular de platos o platos del día. Para aa poco más de 5 libras puedes conseguir un asado, relleno de pimiento (o berenjena o arancini o quizás una porción de salmón) con un par de porciones de ensalada. La sala de estar es pequeña y un poco estrecho, pero luego Strutton Ground es una concurrida calle llena de tiendas de sándwiches y cabina de comida para llevar. Para sentarse es la excepción y el restaurante blanche tiene la excepcional bastante bien.

Purchased a piece of Pistachio & Coconut cake from here today it was very dry would not buy it again. The staff in there seemed more interested in conversing with each other not in English than serving us. When we entered the shop they were in the middle of a conversation between themselves and when they finished they just stared at us and did not ask us what we would like, we had to tell them what we wanted. Doubt I will go back to this place again, shame because it looks so inviting from the outside.

Entonces es comer ensalada saludable; ayer era tazas de té y pasteles con tres niñas pequeñas. I've been here many times before and although it's pretty pricey for portion size I don't mind because the quality has always been good. But today the meat was so tough I couldn't even cut one piece. I took it back and politely asked to swap for another dish. I was then told via the manager that I'd have to pay an extra £1 for the salmon with one very small bit of aubergine. There was no apology for the terrible dish and that really put me off. This cafe needs to learn a little bit about customer-relations and how to improve word of mouth as this has put me and my friend off.

Have been on about four occasions to Blanche Eatery - every time we have had the kind of food that satisfies and detoxes at the same time. Creative salads - tasty quiches - fresh juices and cakes to die for. We will be back in a few works for an event in the Central hall - lunch already booked at Blanche!

We were looking for a quick lunch but wanted an individual restaurant rather than a chain. This place is quite small, but bright and clean. I had a frittata made with sweet potato, ideal for a light lunch. My friend had salmon with a salad, which she enjoyed. There were lots of different salads on offer. Also a tempting display of cakes, although did not succumb. Would go there again.

I'm a size 8 girl, so lord knows how my fiancé would fair, but every time I buy my lunch here, I swear I'll never do it again. It's just sometimes I want something other than a sandwich. My colleagues no longer come here because of something the office has termed 'Blanche Stress'. Essentially this involves ordering a take away salad at just shy of £9 then watching anxiously as a waitress with a pair of tongs places broccoli piece by piece into a box and space them out so that it doesn't look meagre. I know that they are told to do this - I've witnessed staff being told off by the boss (who is always watching them) that the portion was too big. It's frankly absurd. The poor staff look sheepish. How expensive can broccoli be?! It might be different when you eat in as I suppose the absurdity of an empty plate is harder to disguise than a box which you don't open till you're back at your desk. Anyway, all a bit silly given the office trade around here and those they have lost.

Nous avons voulu tester cette pâtisserie car elle était conseillée dans notre guide (cartoville avec Pénélope Bagieu). Elle se trouve dans une petite rue commerçante plutôt tendance. La première déception a été le peu de variété en vitrine. Par rapport à une pâtisserie française, il n'y avait pas plus de 10 types de gâteaux. A l'intérieur on s'est aperçus que la boutique faisait aussi traiteur. J'ai pris un cupcake à la vanille et mon mari un lemon cake au glaçage pas très réussi. Concernant le service, rien de spécial. On a payé 5 livres les deux gâteaux. Mon mari a été satisfait du sien mais moi, j'ai été déçue par mon cupcake. La crème était plutôt écoeurante et la partie biscuit plus que simpliste. Bref, je trouve que Blanche eatery nous a un peu été survendu par le guide.

I came here with my friend we ordered 2 cups of tea and 2 slices of red velvet cake - bill was £15. I wouldn't have been bothered about the price if the quality of the cake was good. Their red velvet cake is absolutely vile. It was dry and had an overpowering disgusting taste of cheese. I will never ever come back here. We came in the morning so I don't think the cakes were fresh either.

The quality of the food - chicken or salmon with 3 salads is good but the servings, particularly of the salads is mean (servers tip back half the ingredients if they accidentally scoop up a full spoonful) and the service is often confused and chaotic. Particularly with so many fantastic alternative choices nearby the high price tag isn't justified.

Davvero un posto delizioso in tutti i sensi. Il locale si nota assolutamente passeggiando per le vie intorno a Westminster grazie alla vetrina davvero allettante. Dolci dolci dolci davvero troppo golosamente belli per non entrare. E infatti siamo entrati. Il locale è molto carino moderno ed accogliente. Oltre ai dolci Blanche Eatery offre una grande scelta di salati, caldamente consigliato per pranzi se vi trovate nella zona. Personale gentilissimo e professionale. Ottimo cappuccino e dolci deliziosi. Consigliatissimi i loro muffins. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo soprattutto considerando la zona.

We stayed nearby during the London Marathon weekend. We chose Blanche as breakfast and late afternoon stop. The staff were very friendly, the food very good (including for coeliac sufferers) and the coffee excellent

I was stunned when I saw the selection of healthy salads - I was so stunned that I did not know we where to start or what to chose. This place is just great so much choice of so many delicious things to eat. A real find and I will be back. Great value too.

We went to the Notting Hill branch for lunch yesterday and were enticed by the fresh looking variety of dishes available. The flavours were great and didn't disappoint. However the staff were disorganised. My coffee was brought to me and on seeing it, a waiter took it away and made it again. This was a little suspicious. When we paid, the prices we'd been quoted for our lunch also didn't match the charges. Perhaps tax added? But this should at least be displayed so customers know what they will be paying. Not impressed.

I have been eating at Blanche since it first opened its doors. During the week it is always busy with eating in and take away customers. They offer an extensive salad buffet and some hot dishes. Particularly good are the quiches and pasta bakes. I have also tried their cakes, which taste and look lovely. More recently I visited the eatery on a Saturday to try their breakfast menu and was extremely disappointed. So the place continues to be my favorite place for healthy and tasty salads!

I have visited Blanche Eatery on a couple of occasions and have to admit that I can highly recommend the cakes, in particular the cupcakes. However, the mains were very poor, as I had the potato bake, which was cold. It was begrudgingly warmed by one of the staff, but only to lukewarm, which I soldered on to try and eat. However I gave up then as a large proportion weren't cooked. On leaving a large portion and raising with the staff they were unhelpful - though eventually gave a refund.Given the portions aren't huge and it's pricey I would keep to the cakes.

I’ve gone for coffee and cakes in the past, this café is very cute, the is a good selection of cakes, the café does not have the atmosphere like some of the other cafes in Strutton Ground, but still nice.

Happily Strutton Ground remains a lively stretch of shops on a rare pedestrianised street for this area with surprisingly reasonable prices for central London - e.g. the brilliant Discount Shoe Sales ('founded 1981') 'focused purely on supplying quality men's footwear at extremely competitive prices' at no. 31. But on the food front, Strutton Ground used to be stronger on chippies and lively boozers than good places for coffee. So the newish Blanche is welcome - great strong coffee in a pleasant bright room and we also enjoyed the almond biscuits and the Banoffy cake. A wide variety of lunches was being enjoyed by the others there on the rainy November Monday we dropped by.

I was drawn in by the gorgeous cakes in the window, and the coffee and croissant I had toasted were perfect. The staff were super lovely and cheerful despite some other grumpy (and frankly obnoxious) customers. But before they turned up the atmosphere was sublime :)

Nous y sommes allés pour manger notre 1er petit-déjeuner à Londres, et je dois dire que nous avons beaucoup aimé l'endroit: cosy, clair et moderne, l'emplacement est très agréable. Les pâtisseries proposées sont malheureusement très "françaises" et seuls les scones nous ont vraiment donné un avant goût de Londres. En dehors de ce petit bémol, tout était très bon, le service était discret mais gentil et le rapport qualité/prix était correct. Je conseille !

I have been to Blanche's Eatery 3 times in Victoria. Everytime I go past I fool myself into going in. However, after the 3rd time of having an overpriced salad with no protein and poor service I will not being going there again.I am fed up of the assistants who don't follow instructions when serving my salad (i.e more of that, less of that) who do their own thing. It is also unclear with the mixed salad that one is only allowed 4 measley bits of salad and no protein. I often go across the road to the falafel shop to get falafel and houmous to add something to a pathetic 4.50 box of vegetables.I encourage professionals to stick to Eat, Pret, Itsu and Wasabi.

We stumbled on Blanche early on our last Sunday in London. We were drawn in by the relaxed and delightful atmosphere of this small bakery / bistro and lulled by the Nora Jones cd playing in the background. I had a lovely cappuccino and shared Eggs Benedict and an almond croissant with DH - AMAZING hollandaise on the eggs! We did have a minor communications snafu ordering for DD - requested a chocolate croissant but they made hot chocolate. Not to worry, they corrected without batting an eye. Everything was fresh and the service perfect. Wish we had found it earlier in our trip!

Just wanted a light healthy breakfast and the Blanche offered quite a few healthy options all freshly prepared. They have an awesome selection of homemade quiches and cakes. Friendly staff and clean surroundings makes this and nice café for a healthy snack.

Tried Blanche Eatery out for lunch as it's just beside my office and was extremely disappointed. I've previously looked into the shop and the range of salads they offered and always thought it looked OK, if somewhat cold, but decided to branch out from M&S and Wasabi and support local businessesI was disappointed not only by the food, but also by the price. The salads just aren't that tasty. I ordered a range of salads (butternut squash, carrots, quinoa, lentils) with some salmon and EVERYTHING needed salt. And lots of it. Not only that, but the price came to £8.95 for a takeaway box (I think it would have been £11.95 if I ate in), which, to me is a rip off for what it is.Next time, I'll walk the extra 40 seconds it takes to me to get to M&S.

I had not been here for lunch until today but the place looked interesting and the food fresh and there was plenty of outside seating. I had a vegetarian quiche and salad and my friend had a Frittata with salad. We followed this with a coffee. All of the food was very fresh and well seasoned. There is a great choice of salads and they all look really appetising. The coffee is decent rather than great and the service was efficient and friendly. This place reminds me of Ottolenghi but loads cheaper.

It used to be a nice venue for lunch but recently the customer service has been non existent. Last week I came in with friends and only one table available near open front door when raining. Staff refused to close door as staff had to have door open to flog sandwiches outside.Today was a friends birthday. We wanted to reserve table then order then pay once all orders taken. Staff refused. We had to each order and pay separately which spoiled birthday treat for friend. Staff just laughed when i explained it was birthday lunch and we needed to save a table. Tea and cake works out £5.50 each which is pricey for local area. Patisseries near Victoria only a five minute walk away and better service and cheaper.

We popped into Blanche Eatery for lunch yesterday. The salads were great, fresh and tasty and the chicken and salmon portions were super too.The place is clean and tidy, and looks stylish and inviting. Value for money is good, £9 for Chicken and a couple of salads.My only slight negative is that the tables are a bit small, great for two, less good for three.

Visited Blanche eatery today for lunch with a friend, We had freshly squeezed apple juice, A beef pasta dish, like lasagne with rigatoni and shared three of their delicious salads. Roasted Romano peppers with mozzarella and sun dried tomatoes, winter bulgar wheat,lentils,roasted squash,carrot and parsnips and a roasted beetroot and carrot salad in a dressing. Cherry cake, raspberry cheese cake and amazing coffee. It is bright and clean, the staff are happy and very helpful. Great for breakfast, lunch or for a take away picnic. I even bought a take away dish to have for supper it was so good. Highly recommended.

Had lunch here today and it was excellent. Have eaten here before and have enjoyed the food and ambience. The salads in particular are good and the cake display in the window is always impressive. Try the salads rather than the hot dishes which rely on the microwave to be warmed up which always feels a bit of a let down. The service is invariably good. My only gripe is that this place cannot seem to make up its mind whether it is a cafe, a bakery , a bistro or a takeaway and as a result it seems to be a bit of all 4 however it is worth a visit.

It looks clean and is clean.I had a egg bagel sandwich and my friend had the porridge. My egg sandwich was good, nothing special. The porridge however was great. Which is one of the reasons for the 4 stars. The other was the service. The lady helping us could not have been nicer. We also had fresh OJ. very good too.Good place to stop for a quick snack or breakfast.

One really hot summer day we were looking for somewhere cool to eat and stumbled on Blanche Eatery. The salads were excellent, very tasty, imaginative combinations and not hugely expensive. We particularly enjoyed the broccoli and the squash salads. I was the first to succumb to the temptation of 'afters' and had a lovely almond biscuit with my latte - this was very subtly sweetened so that the almond flavour really came through: then my friend decided that her willpower was too weak and she had carrot cake - again the various flavours of the ingredients were exquisitely delicate but not lost by too much sugar. We'll certainly visit again in the near future.

Wonderful breakfast and VERY reasonable prices. Ate there three times and everything for breakfast was great. Also bought a raspberry meringue which was to die for. Would have bought more pastries but I really didn't want to put on 10 pounds.

Came here early in the morning as we randomly found this place while walking around the neighborhood we stayed in. We ordered the tortilla (squash, pumpkin, zucchini, spinach, cheese, eggs) and broccoli and cheese quiche. Our drinks were mocha and cappuccino. The tortilla was interesting. Definitely nothing like we have in the States. It was tasty and healthy at the same time. The quiche was good but the egg was more runny than the quiche we had while in Italy. I definitely prefer how the quiches are made in Italy over England. In any case, both the main courses were delicious. The cappuccino was lacking when compared to Italy. It lacked the strong coffee bean flavor. It felt “light” and without that morning coffee “kick” to start the day off right. I would recommend this place but I know you can find better coffee elsewhere in the city. The staff was friendly and this place accepts credit cards.

I happened to be walking past on my way to another restaurant when I spotted the beautiful cupcakes in the window and they drew me in as if I were on a tether. What a happy surprise this restaurant turned out to be. My husband and i had, respectively meatballs on rice and cheesy beef pasta. While the meals are prepared ahead of time, they are cared for properly and taste fresh and lovely when served by the friendly waitstaff. For dessert, I had their amazing red velvet cake (and it was proper red velvet - not just chocolate with a bit of red food colouring). Nice atmosphere for quiet chat and inviting premises - fresh looking without looking sterile.

Happened upon Blanche Eatery by chance, on a Sunday in late March. Had honestly been looking to try the fish and chips nearby, and not realized that the Laughing Halibut would be closed. The beautiful bakery display at Blanche drew me in. Had a very nice early dinner for less than 10 GBP, having the quiche of the day and a choice of two salads with a pot of tea. One salad was an unusual and very flavorful mix of garanzo beans and fresh dill with other veggies. Before continuing the walk back to my hotel, decided to purchase one of the black forest cupcakes from the window display for take-away. It ended up having a wonderful mix of flavors, including a cherry filling.

Durante il nostro soggiorno a Londra ci siamo fermati a bere il tè in questo piccolo localetipico inglese, attirati da una vetrina piena di dolci molto invitanti. Con il tè abbiamo ordinato qualche pasta e devo dire che erano davvero buone. Le ragazze, di cui una italiana, sono state gentilissime e i prezzi li abbiamo trovati normali per essere a Londra

Went for lunch here with two chums from work on wet wintry lunchtime day last week. We were all in need of cheering up and Blanche helped do this. The window is welcoming with lovely displays of cupcakes, and biscuits. Inside, there are a wide array of salads - particulalry Middle Eastern ones and a choice of fish and meat dishes which can be served hot or cold. I had a wonderful pasta dish - sounded ordinary (chicken, tomato and broccoli) but was one of the nicest I've ever eaten. The staff were very friendly and took the plates to the table so that we didn't drop them. Nice fruit smoothies too (carrot, apple and orange). Would definitely go there again and would certainly suggest to others.

Envie d'un petit dej' scone-thé ... on est tombé par hasard sur cette sublime boutique blanche où de merveilleux gateaux en vitrine nous ont fait de l'oeil... on a craqué, on est rentré... excellent scones!!! accueil hyper sympa! on avait envie de tout gouter!allez-y!!! et bon app'!

We were looking for somewhere for a light breakfast on the morning of Sun 26th Aug. Found the Strutton Ground Blanche Eatery by a happy accident. Lovely coffees and Egg Benedict. Nice light decor, friendly service and cakes looked stunning, though we resisted the temptation!

Lovely cakes, some are nice, BUT the caramel egg tart is divine and to die for. They have a pretty dsplay of salads and deli type spreads. But its the cakes to go for.

If you find yourself visiting the antiques shops along Kensington Church Street in London, this is a perfect place to perch and have a light meal. You will be drawn in by the array of goodies in the windows, mostly old fashioned tried and true English favorites, all looking very homemade. What I really admired were the fresh trays of salads of every type. I tried the quiche and it was very good, with a good crust. They make fresh squeezed orange juice with a funny machine that is fascinating to watch. A few tables, and very nice ladies to help you. They asked me if the music was too loud and would I rather hear classical. I chose classical and up came "The Blue Danube", which I must say seemed to fit the mood of the place, and made everyone lighthearted. I must add it to my list of fun places in London.

We were wondering down the street and we spotted the numerous cakes in the window. I will have to admit having a little weakness for good cakes, and some of them looked delicious! We went in and bought some cakes to go: orange cupcake, berries cupcake and chocolate cupcake. All turned out delicious and fairly affordable considering that this was a decent organic bakery in the centre of London! The staff was friendly and the store allowed people to sit down to enjoy a meal and drinks as well. I will definitely stop by again when I am in the area!

This place certainly caught my attention for lunch today with its wonderful cake displays and enticing salad selection.I got the chicken in a creamy sauce with gnocchi and a cucumber/tomato/red onion medley for salad choice.Alas the chicken was very tough, the seasoning was so salty that I kept needing to gulp water after each mouthful and the gnocci was really hard, beyond al dente! The experience left me thirsty all afternoon and at £7.95 for this, I simply can not give this place a second chance. There are better choices out there.

Delicious food, beautiful environment, pretty staffs, perfect.

Just popped in for a quick lunch. Not been before.Lots of good looking food, opted for tortilla and two salads at about £5. All served by friendly staff, quickly. The food was tasty, very good tortilla. Nice environment, clean, nice decor if a bit tight on space. Good place, good value will come again.

A lot of good places have gone from Strutton Ground in recent years, but thankfully, the owners of Kensington's Blanche Eatery have opened a second patisserie here.The window display is beautiful. Cakes and snacks appear fresh, colourful, and masterfully crafted. The interior is spacious and light, in contrast to the hustle and bustle of the street market outside.The food and coffee is lovely. The bakery items are fresh enough to take away and keep for a couple of days, so if you working in the area, it's possible to take away some teatime snacks for the weekend. There's also a salad bar for a more substantial (yet light, and fresh) lunch. I had a fantastic salmon fillet on a bed of green beans and rice, which was delicious.The prices are high-ish, but I daresay the rent in this street is astronomical. The salmon salad, plus two cakes (each big enough to share) was £12. But the food and friendly service make it value for money, so I think a weekly visit is in order from now on.
