What a wonderful find just walked in had a lovely meal fish n chips bar staff lovely .. fire in the hearth lovely cider ... We nearly went to the hard rock cafe .... Glad we didn't..

Typical English pub with good atmosphere. The grade could be higher but it refers to how bad British food is. The truth is that its bad reputation is well deserved. Very average food despite the good presentation, but I insist that it is simply because their gastronomy is like that, you cannot order elm pears. Very cool place and correct price and treatment.

Located near the crazy busy pubs in soho. A place to go when you want a more tranquil setting. :) Nice time chatting with the workers.

Perfect spot next to the theatre, nice upstairs restaurant overlooking the theatre district. Very friendly and helpful staff, good choice of wine and beers all at reasonable prices. Good choice of food with it all being very good quality and plentiful.

We didn't eat anything but the atmosphere was very pleasant, the place was very nice and it was a good place to have a pint.

Didn’t have food but had drink and used the toilets. Spotless. Lovely staff. Brought coffee down to main bar instead of saying ‘served upstairs only’ like the other Sam Smiths pubs we visited earlier in week. Great Sam Smiths pub.

Tried paying a pint with amex and he told me no amex. Then I put my other card and paid right away. Next day I noticed he charged me 3 pounds more when I tried the second time 😐

I was with my friend when we were rudely denied tap water. It is a legal requirement to provide drinking water to anyone even if they aren’t a paying customer. It is not a rule that’s just been made up, but a legal requirement. The service at this place is abhorrent and i am disgusted at the lack of support. The temperature had reached 32° and you still refuse a simple cup of tap water?

I came in on one of the hottest days of the year and asked for some tap water. Only to be rudely denied by the bartender saying "How else are we supposed to make money". And this is a legal requirement to serve tap water to any customer so I am very appaled with this service.

Food was OK but quite expensive for small portions, seems a bit under staffed which meant service was slow as it was one person upstairs, one downstairs, both trying to serve drinks,take orders and serve food, but they were both nice, friendly and did thier best. Is a nice pub though.

My pint of best bitter was clearly off but was told it's supposed to taste of vinegar! Instead they offered half a pint of their standard bitter which was also not in great condition. The taddy lager and extra stout were on good form though.

The service from Kerrie was amazing. Great atmosphere and was more than accommodating to our groups needs. Loved the chat and recommendations.

Pint of Cider & 1/2 a lager ( only had the Organic one on tap ) £11:40, you're in the West End so it's not going to be cheap I understand that, the most expensive pub out of 4 in Soho today...Sorry not going back or doing a Sam Smith's pub in London again...

Had the house Raspberry Gin and sampled the house whisky and ciders. All fantastic! Great ambiance and Kerry behind the bar was so hospitable and shared her knowledge with us.

We were visiting London and stumbled onto the White Horse Public House. What a fantastic atmosphere and Kerry was so friendly!! I had their organic pear cider and tried the raspberry gin too…. Both were extremely delicious!! Highly recommend!

They were extremely accommodating for our large party. Raju was our server and he was both attentive and helpful. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Thank you Raju!!!

Sat outside pub for a drink. The tables needed a wipe down. Nice clean toilets down the steep stairs.

Not a posh pub and that’s fine with me. No cask ale, no straws, no televisions that I could see. No big views, in fact windows are fogged to prevent looking out to the street. No need to see people outside seemingly happier than you. Service was great. Just get in and get your drink on. It’s a pub for Gods sake!

It looked nice inside, but the Portion sizes were awful, the food was not great. They forgot are cutlery etc and there was no toilet roll in the toilet.

Lovely place in the heart of Soho. Straightforward, beers on tap, and you can have english dinner upstairs. That, too, is straightforward, well made, tasty and served with great hospitality. And all for reasonable prices.

Horrible grubby pub with a hostile unfriendly person behind the bar at 10 pm yesterday already closing up and clearly didn’t want to serve me . £15.20 for two pints of tasteless gassy lager. Rip off 😫

Very nice English style pub, divided on two floors, staff leaves something to be desired, the guy on the upper floor better change job, he doesn't know how to behave he just runs around always busy without style and without grace only annoyed at the mere "excuse me" on the other hand You eat very well, excellent, delicious, spectacular beer!!!

To start, this was a great experience that I had unrealistic expectations for. The hype I read on line….cheap…in light of London this was correct. In my personal expectations, not so much. I did get a burger with fries and a pint for a little over 20 pounds, which, so far has been great for London for actual good food. In this case the food was excellent, the atmosphere was spot on my view of old English pub. The staff could not have been better, attentive, friendly, knowledgable…what I was expecting was my states version of “cheap” (more than 50% cheaper). So…..I would highly recommend this “old English” pub but expect London cheap. Also I thought the pint was very tasty, I am not a dark beer drinker and the ale I had was spot on for flavor.

We enjoyed our time at the White Horse. The chicken schnitzel was great! Hamburger and fries/chips were very good. Our waiter was top notch!

First time in this beautiful place....the beers are fresh and amazing! The barkeep on the top floor was so warm friendly and welcoming.....we gave him 10 stars!!!

This was a very unassuming location. We walked in off the street looking for a relatively quiet place to chat and enjoy a meal. We made our way upstairs to a semi-secluded dining room away from the busy pub downstairs. The server/bartender made some great food and drink recommendations for us. He was very attentive.

Sunday lunchtime visit. No salad No nachos No white wine No Guinness Very slow drinks service (although bar man was working alone upstairs.) Filthy toilets Overpriced for very mediocre food I try to only post positive reviews but spoke to a member of staff to give verbal feedback - he just shrugged, blamed a change of menu/ suppliers and had no solution to the revolting toilets. Couldn’t have cared less. Hence why I am posting negative feedback. So disappointing to spend so much money on such a poor food experience and for the staff to care so little.

We didn't eat here but visit this bar every time we go to London. Love the rustic feel, the staff are lovely and Sam Smiths larger is really nice

Worst pub I’ve been to in a long time. Doors were kept open in spite of the cold weather - numerous times customers tried to close them only to told by the bar staff that they’ve got to remain open - Why?? Bar staff were extremely rude and unwelcoming - needless to say I won’t be returning here as there are loads of other great pubs around. Sam Smiths Brewery need to review their staff’s attitude & customer policy in this particular pub.

To flee !!!! Rude waiter, not customer friendly No straw or anything to stir a mojito, which has no taste anyway We asked for peanuts, he refused while they gave them to other customers. It’s limited if we’ll be allowed a glass of water! Trace your path, there are much better things!

It feels like a genuine pub compared to other more touristy ones but what do I know.. They have home brewed stuff, tastes good.

Really enjoyed our fish finger sandwiches with chips or sweet potato fries. Good value,filling and tasty. There were a lot of things not available,like hot chocolate and sausages. The barman/waiter was rather uninterested in hospitality !! Luckily the food was good.

A gem of a traditional pub on the outskirts of soho. A Samuel Smiths pub so only stock Samuel Smith beers and ciders (don't expect to find brand name lagers or guinness here). The welcome is warm and friendly and the drinks were very tasty (we went for the stout and the reserve cider) a little oasis if calm in the hubbub of london

Im oberen Teil des Pubs ist ein kleines niedliches Restaurant und man bekommt dem Lärm vom Pub nicht so mit. Der Service war etwas durch den Wind aber sehr freundlich. Das Essen war lecker und preislich grade noch ok. Kann man gut hin gehen.

This was a very cozy and aesthetic bar with lots of great alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. Beer was velvety and the soda was dynamic. The staff seemed to be having a rough go of it but didn’t take away from my experience here. We got here just before last call or else we would have stayed the rest of the night!

Le serveur au top, un pub typique londonien. Nous sommes tombé dessus au hasard de notre balade. Le hasard fait bien les choses.

Good pub food, great choice of beer, reasonably priced. But the best thing is the upstairs dining room often has a bit of space when a lot of the other locals are full.

I usually don’t expect great food at a pub , however this pub deserves recognition. I’m A vegetarian and it’s hard to find descent food options, specially at a pub, This establishment served me the best plant based burger I ever had. It was very flavorful and I would stop by any chance I get for their food. My husband had a stake pie and he loved it as well. You will not be disappointed.

Potentially the slowest service in London

Sehr uriges Pub, mit nettem Personal. Das Bier, der Cider und Fish ans Chips waren super lecker. Die Preise wie überall mittlerweile gehoben. Wir haben hier eine tolle Zeit verbracht und sehr lecker gegessen.

Awful! Went on a day when it was about zero degrees outside, and the doors were wide open! No wonder that there was nobody in there. What was even worse were the incredibly short measures for our beers (see photo). The barman didn't give a toss and even mocked us for asking for them to be topped up! Needless to say, we only stayed for one drink, and moved on to The Queens Head in Denman Street. What a contrast - warm atmosphere, friendly staff and lovely Harvey's Sussex Bitter (the full pint / 568ml!). Please note, I have no affiliation to this pub.

I went to this pub for some peace and quiet in the absence of social media or phones, and the alleged manager “Sam” allowed a film crew to record an episode of a Welsh tv show in the pub, completely ruining my experience. Never again.

The place is a great location, however even though we had booked we had to wait . There was only one person serving upstairs and dealing with everything at rush hour, so no wonder he was overwhelmed. He had to run from table to table doing all his best but there should be more staff.

Really rude service in a bar with active bag thieves. Be warned you’ll be kicked out for being a good citizen. Quite frankly an embarrassment . Avoid.

3 bags got stolen once we were here. Tried to raise it to staff and not only did they not care, but they kicked us out for complaining. DO NOT GO HERE

On arrival two couples asked to check our bags as their bags had been stolen. Whilst drinking we noticed two individuals looking at our bags. We raised this with management. Their response was that they couldn’t help. I explained that they need to ensure the safety of their guests. We were then told to leave. Extremely rude, avoid.

Pub sympathique, bon accueil. Nous avons pris des fisch and chips. Prix 17£. Bon mais vraiment radin sur la quantité. Quelques frites et à peine une cuillère de purée de Peas. Quel dommage !!!

Not a great selection of spirits staff friendly

it's a nice and cozy place with great staff and delicious traditional food. It was a bit busy, but the waiting times to be seated and served were short; the comfortable seats and cozy overall atmosphere made any wait time enjoyable.

The bar is not a ,replica of anyting Britsh the young bar man was a nasty piece of work ,I wanted to punch him his vile atatude horabile youngster I have a son his age ,I would be ashamed if he spoke to any one the wY he did,all I asked was do you have music , I woundnt like to try the food,if thats the welcome ,they offer he is lucky I did not punch him im not violent ,but dont insult me. people cone to london to have fun not to be insulted,its a ugly awful bar there are loads of bars near bye ,that can offer a lot of fun
