The best restaurants serving British food in London

If you’re after good food, beer and live music, then this is the place. We happened upon this place through our son. Had a great Friday night with an original menu and real ale. Suitable for all family ages.

Lovely fresh breakfast. Lots to choose from. Great vegan and veggie options. Crumpets, fruit. Soya milk etc.

Always an efficient service for food and drinks with a nice selection of beers and the best tomato juice in town 😁 The atmosphere is just crazy on every football nights!!! I love it

Dale una falta a este lugar. Fui con la familia para un cumpleaños. Inició el temporizador mientras explicaba cómo jugar. La máquina se rompió en cuestión de minutos, no pudo encontrar personal para ayudar. Eventualmente encontré a alguien explicando cómo jugar en otra cancha, así que tuve que esperar hasta que terminaran. . . . . solucionó el problema, entonces pido un poco de tiempo atrás, groseramente dije que estaba bien. La máquina se rompió de nuevo, el siguiente miembro del personal estaba mejor y se disculpó y pidió a otro miembro del personal que nos diera más tiempo. . . . . tenemos 3 minutos! ! Me quejé con el miembro del personal que groseramente dijo que era todo lo que podíamos tener, discutí y señalé que habíamos pagado durante una hora, me dijeron que había una reserva justo después de la nuestra y tendríamos que volver cuando hubieran terminado. Dije que no, que no queremos hacer eso y ella se rió como dijo, ¿por qué no? Mientras hablábamos, la máquina se rompió de nuevo por cuarta vez... el trabajo navideño de mi hijo ya no se llevará a cabo allí y me aseguraré de que nadie que conozca se acerque al lugar. Y las bebidas tardaron años en aparecer y muy caras...

I attended this coffee shop today and bought an oat cappuccino to take away. On past occasions my cappuccino has split all over my hand so I asked the lady who serves the coffee if she could put cling film over the cup to prevent spillage. She become irritated and snapped. I asked her for a cup holder and she again did not listen and put another cup on top. Subsequently when I reached home the coffee was spilled. I shall not be using the coffee shop again. Very rude lady.

Decent chips and a good sized portion (large would easily feed 3), however oily undercooked batter and cod that tasted of nothing. When it was run by Asian owners, it was delicious however has sadly gone downhill since a change of ownership. Shame

The food was awful. Clearly pre prepared, placed in a bowl then microwaved when needed. I had Teryaki Salmon on sticky rice. Hardly any sauce, rice was dry and salmon severely overcooked, infact hard and dry. I ordered a side of green vegetables which were practically raw! Will never eat there again!

We had booked the ballet tour and afternoon tea as a treat. To say we were underwhelmed bt the afternoon tea is a huge understatement. Don't expect a tiered afternoon tea stand or choice of beverage. It was on the Terrace and the 4 finger sandwiches were under clingfilm, the two pastries and one scone were on another plate uncovered. A pot of English breakfast tea just put on the table. No description of what the sandwiches were or the two pastries, no question as to allergies or intolerance. Felt that we were on a conveyor belt, there was no finesse to the afternoon tea. Such a huge let down especially when in such a prestigious venue. Our guide Freya, for the ballet tour was absolutely fantastic, her love of ballet shone through and made the tour unforgettable. She answered questions happily and really made me want to see a ballet.

Amazing breakfast, amazing location and amazing service. Really enjoyed breakfast here at Brown & Green life cafe. It is located inside Crystal Palace park with seating both inside and outside. So when the weather is good it’s an amazing place to go and eat outside with lovely scenery outside. Would highly recommend this place and their veggie breakfast was very tasty.

We found this gem of a pub on Booking.com and don’t regret it at all. An area we never really have stayed in before and was skeptical at first but felt safe, secure and was so quiet. The rooms were more spacious than others in a similar price point, bed very comfortable. The staff were only more than happy to accommodate us with any needs, and provide any recommendations for travel- Located close to the DLR stop. One staff member in particular (Zamreen) met us with such happiness and made the whole experience so much more enjoyable and can’t thank her enough. We also had the pleasure of eating dinner here and were amazed at the quality of food at the price point. Prices of pints are very competitive for London also. Overall very very pleasant stay and would really highly recommend a visit to this pub for drink, food or stay in the future. Thanks for a great stay!

Me and my partner both got fish and chips. His were fine. But my chips were awful. Very dark brown and hard - they had clearly been cooked twice. Which made no sense, as there were lots of customers waiting so they would not have been sitting there long. Crazy. The fish was really nice though. We wont be coming back though as the chips should have been edible.

A pochi passi da Oxford Street, situato in una traversa, questo delizioso pub in stile inglese offre piatti tipici della tradizione. Da provare la carne e l’ hamburger di pesce. Ottimo il toffee pudding

Had lunch yesterday. Cold toasties, cold chips, the coffee machine was filthy. They are the dirtiest toilets I’ve ever been in. The whole pub was dirty. Avoid at all costs. Never going back.
