I dined here whilst staying at the Holiday Inn in Orpington on business The restaurant is located in the hotel and doubles as a bar . You order at the bar and identify where you are seated for service There was plenty of space to seat and my two courses where very tasty and delicious I ordered chicken liver pate and brioche toast with an accompaniment of onion chutney- it was delicious! My main of black and blue burger was also delicious as the blue cheese really lifted the taste An excellent example of how bar food should be delivered, an extremely pleasant surprise

The food was just fine. Nothing amazing but very tasty and good quality. However it was the warm, friendly and cheerful service we received from Louisa that made our meal memorable. She gave us recommendations on dishes and the local area with a warm smile that lit up our evening.

Hotel restaurants can be a bit clinical but Traders had coped really well with the Covid rules and was really good. The service was good and the staff were very friendly very attentive and helpful. Food was good, sufficient variety on the menu to eat in most evenings

Small, tight feeling and old fashioned. Reminded me of the seaside resort bed and breakfast places. Food was okay and service friendly. Certainly not a place to eat dinner with lots of places reasonably close by

The lamb was cold and chewy. The only thing that I enjoyed was the vanilla panacota. I was sick many times after the meal and had diarea. I would never eat there again.

Informed the dinning staff on arrival I was starving and didn't think I would last the 7.45pm for the others to be seated ( work xmas dinner ) I was shown to my seat and offered a good selection of warm rolls and butter, each basket contained four by the time the room was seated I had with a pregnant colleague got through several baskets. The rolls were given without any unnecessary hassle, each time the basket emptied it was refilled. The meal itself was great, food cooked to perfection, attention and detail of each course was to the standard I expected. To add insult to injury ( joking ) I was offered extras each time which I gratefully accepted. I have eaten here when I have attended meetings or conferences at this location so have a pretty good idea of what to expect. Despite the numbers I felt they delivered a brilliant menu at £49 a head, an absolute bargain.

Visit on 16/12/16. Attended my work Christmas party and was impressed with the way the room was decorated. The tables did feel a bit cramped with drinks, centre pieces and other items but that shouldn't detract from the good food on offer. The roast beef was cooked perfectly and the cheese & biscuits were nice. There was a separate bar area which meant once the meal was complete you could go have a dance. There was also a casino put on with fake money which added to the evening. Overall I thought the evening was a success and the staff / hotel put on a good event.

Such a lovely hotel was spoilt by my room and the corridor it was in looking tired and need of a makeover. The curtains in my room were dangling off the hooks and even though this was reported wasn't fixed, when I returned to my room late I as too tired to fix them myself. The bed was too soft and I couldn't sleepReception was nice and friendly giving great information, Susan at Breakfast was excellent and very patient with some children who were running around and one that tried to escape through the fire exit.

I have stayed here many times. The position is within easy walking distance of Bexley making eating out an option. The hotel itself is a standard holiday inn. If your eating out in the area try The Miller and Carter for a great steak (Book!) or Ferrari's in Bexley for Italian.

When travelling I always plan the route so we can eat in a decent hotel. How and why people use shabby rip off Service Stations on the motorway beats me. You get a high standard of service and cleanliness for the same money in a good hotel. We popped in for a light meal in the early evening. The £3 is waived if you spend £15 plus on food and drink. Great service, nice food, pleasant comfortable surroundings, clean and smart toilets.

Large buffet after a funeral just up the road at Falconwood Cemetery. Good range, tasty, and refreshed when required. Only problem is that it was in a windowless room.

This venue is an amazing place to have a wedding. The atmosphere , garden , ceremony room, meal and dancing were all wonderful. The staff couldn't do enough to help and make everyone happy. We also stayed the night and the rooms were very good. As was the evening meal and breakfast.

I've stayed here several times and it's a very good hotel for a business trip, being well located and offering great value and amenities. I've only been stayed for work purposes and could easily make do with a budget hotel, but this one offers much more for not much more. The bar area is relaxing and nice to sit in to do some work. The staff are very friendly and went out of their way to help me. Plenty of parking and some nice grounds to walk around in, even though it's just off the A2. Breakfast was very good indeed. It needs a little TLC spent on it, but clean and comfortable.

Easy access for the motorway and heading in to London. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Meals in the restaurant were limited as I am a fussy eater and mainly veggie and found little choice and as I was staying for a few days I ended up eating the same meal more or less every night.

Stayed here twice on two separate occasions while working in the area. When you pull up to the hotel you will see a hotel that looks very dated but once you step through the door you couldn't be more wrong. Very modern feel inside. We got our room upgraded on our first visit which was a very nice surprise. Nice spacious modern room with all the necessary essentials. Only slight gripe was the two single beds were very close together. We ate and drank in the hotel restaurant which had a Chinese buffet on the night we stayed. The Chinese Buffet was pretty pathetic so I opted for the burger which was very nice but very very expensive. On our second visit we made the 20 minute walk up the hill to Bexleyheath which offered a very good and affordable choice of bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again but probably not eat in restaurant.

Stayed here for two nights on business. Staff were very friendly and the room was very clean. Breakfast was great, a lot of choice and everything was replenished. The location was great for us, and not too far away from Bexley centre, or from Blue Water where we also visited. It is a shame about having to pay for parking as a hotel guest but then I guess this is London! I would not choose to stay here for Leisure but will definitely return for business.

The Caribbean Experience at Kensington Holiday Inn Sat 28th Feb 2015Quite disappointed about this event. We have been before, I think the price has become quite expensive. Its £40 per person for a Caribbean buffet and dance, no drinks included. We always go with a group of friends to a pre booked table. The dance has good music and atmosphere, the crowd probably average age of 45-50.This time the room was lovely as always and there were lots of group parties, it looked like everyone had a good time. The food is of a good standard and authentic Caribbean. My complaint is that the hot food was not being refilled in a timely manner, and several of the hot dishes ie the curry, spicy chicken and pork were all empty. The guy behind the counter was doing his best, but I waited with others for at least 5 mins, with my plate half full awaiting the refill for these important items, but they just didn't arrive, and so I gave up, thinking I may return but didn't bother as I ate the rest, however as everyone knows, curry goat is THE most important part of the meal and I didn't have any. They know how many people to expect, its a ticket event, so why was the food so slow and not there? We were there by 8.15, which is not late, I hope the food was not running out. Also unless you do eat quickly and early, the puddings and fresh fruit are just left overs and messy from others taking from them. Again, the beautiful fresh fruit melon, pineapple etc I had my eye on, had all gone and was not replaced. Lots of people were ready to have dessert but the best had definitely gone.. Very sad I have to say.It costs enough, so why be so mean with the food, everyone knows black people can eat, and how many they are expecting, so I felt cheated that I missed out on so much. The drinks we purchased as we went along, but the service was slow and paying was confusing. Every waiter we tried to pay, said we had to go elsewhere or see someone else. We could have walked away without paying to be honest, no one would have noticed. Not all bad, however, the food needs sorting out. I will be contacting them directly.

Sixteen of us from worked booked our Christmas meal here on 19th December. I think the evening (without drinks was about £45)We met up in the bar area which is fitted out with comfortable chairs and settees for pre dinner drinks. Our evening consisted of a really delicious meal (we chose starters, mains and puds in advance) I'm not a vegetarian but chose a camembert, tomato and pecan nut main meal - well it was absolutely gorgeous. Everyone said how much they all enjoyed their meals too. Included in our meal was a Robbie Williams tribute singer and disco. I'm not a particular fan but he was very good and everyone was up dancing. Also included was a 'casino experience' This was great fun. We were all given a £10 voucher (not real money of course) which we changed up for chips. We could then play roulette and various other games. The casino was open all evening so you could dip in and out of it when you wanted eg play roulette, go back in for a couple of dances, play roulette go and have a drink and chat then back to the roulette. It was actually more fun as we weren't playing for real money so put on atrocious bets. Somehow I kept winning although I've never played roulette before in my life. The hotel staff were all friendly and polite. The evening closed at 1.00 and when I was ready to leave at about 12.30 the reception staff ordered a cab for me. A different evening and a very good overall experience.

Had cause to use this bar for a party of eight after a late afternoon funeral for bar meals & drinks. From the first initial contact through to the departing good wishes everything was professional, the whole place was spotless, the food was varied, well prepared & presented, the food & drinks were served swiftly & the staff were pleasant & polite. All in all I'd recommend this hotel for such an occasion without hesitation.

Having stayed at this hotel many years ago on our wedding night, I noticed a groupon offer for the restaurant. It us now a holiday inn, so I was a little uncertain what to expect, but as it was a good deal I took my wife along. It was a great surprise, good staff and a great meal. I have subsequently recommended to friends and family.

The Holliday inn was clean and fresh and had everything you would expect. The staff were friendly and attentive and both the bar food and breakfast were excellent. The bar prices were high compared to locally and I find it hard to pay for the privilege of the car park as a guest, these are both points I think should be reviewed if they intend to gain repeat business.Overall a good stay but the high prices leave a bitter taste and a lighter wallet than I expected.

Not a personal choice for meals, due to prices and style - especially the breakfast option is ridiculously expensive. A ten minute walk to Bexley 'village', perhaps on the way to the rail station, will find the Village Café, which offers a full range of breakfast options at amazingly low prices.

The reception on arrival was warm & very welcoming. The service was spot on, time to settle, order drinks & then choosing/ordering food. The carvery was the best I have experienced in a long time. Good choice of meats(3), with Salmon/Veggie alternative. The vegetables were very good &, surprisingly the roast potatoes that most Sunday lunch offerings always get wrong. Starter choices were good & I would highly recommend the squid. Choice of sweets was decent, although the first two courses were more than enough for me. Only downside was that the ale was limited to bottles of Doombar.

When this Fish & Chip shop reopened about 2 years ago under new management, freshly revamped & called Hooked it all looked very promising ! The shop was clean & inviting & the cod & chips here were nice, not wonderful but miles better than the old Fish & Chip shop Sea Lion which was awful. Now I'm sorry to say it has deteriorated badly. I went in tonight just for beef & onion pie & chips and the place is dirty looking counters and the meat on the donar kebab spike looked disgusting like it had been there all week ! The pie was ok but you can't really ruin that as it's just heated in its pack, however the chips were horrible greasy and overcooked !! What has gone on here ! Such a shame as it's my local but I won't come here again ! Broadway Fish & Chip ShopBexleyheath by far & away best fish & chip shop in area, lovely tasting cod & chips, further for me but well worth it !
