Great Greene King this, probably the best I've been in. The Landlady is superb and the staff can't do enough for you. Brandon goes out of his way to make you feel really welcome and couldn't do more for you. Alfie also does a cracking job. The food is great, the big screen sport stuff is fab and the food is better than decent and always consistent. Couldn't be happier with the place. Absolutely great. Highly recommended.

I came here with my boyfriend and couple of his mates to watch the champions league games. Great atmosphere/crowd. We also got the 5 sharing plates and they were all delicious, especially the sticky karrage chicken. The food was kindly served by Brandon, and credit to Stephanie in the kitchen for making the great food!

Brandon and Kieran was above helpful, me my husband and two children attended the setting for dinner and some drinks, both was more than happy to answer any questions we had about food, laugh with the children and continue to check throughout us being there how our food and drinks were and if there was anything to do to help. We accident spilt a drink and it went over our daughter we had to run home (about 5 minuets away) to change her and they kindly checked saved the table for the 20 minuets we was gone and asked if she was okay when we got back. Great staff, great food and brilliant service will defo be back!

Karaoke nights and Quiz nights are staples in my week. Service with a smile always from Kieran and the others. Lovely crowd, family friendly. Always put the Liverpool game on for me too :)

The George in Bexley village is my favourite pub. It has such a community feel, always warm and welcoming (family-friendly.) The staff go above and beyond and are amazing, it’s very well Managed. On this occasion, I was visiting for my Mum‘s birthday, with my two daughters. There’s a huge selection of drinks and always something new to try. We were welcomed and served by Brandon and Kieron, excellent, professional barmen a credit to Greenking. The establishment was clean and tidy. Never been disappointed by the food there and like the drinks there is a wide selection, Although I would highly recommend the Katsu Chicken Burger, it is mouthwatering and delicious. A must-have. Would recommend this pub and have done to friends and family. Will return, maybe even before the karaoke on Thursday night! :)

Pleasant pub with a good vibe. I visited for the first time on a Thursday evening in February 2024, part of a group of eight. As you enter from the front you are in a large wooden-floored room with high & low tables & chairs, with a very brightly lit bar in front of you. To the right of the front door there's a step down into a narrower room with more tables and chairs. Plenty of bar staff, all of whom were well dressed, attentive and helpful. No real ale on tap, but they do have bottles of it. Drinks are very expensive! Round for five people was £32 and spirits were £4.35. When we visited, the left end was taken up by karaoke, DJ'd by Dave who is a Thursday regular and turned out to be a really nice guy. He dealt with song requests fairly and his set up and its sound were great. Everyone was friendly. The crowd was mostly youngish and included followers of the DJ, most of whom were decent singers. The floor in front of the DJ had been cleared and looked like a dance floor, but sadly most punters chose not to do dancey songs. The pub is right on the little roundabout in the middle of Bexley & if you're bored you can amuse yourself by watching antics of drivers navigating this very busy junction . But not from the pavement outside - where we saw smokers, drunks and other ne'er-do-wells narrowly avoid being struck on the head by wing mirrors of long vehicles such as buses, which regularly sweep across. PARKING. Bexley High Street car park is behind the pub, which is free in the evenings - access it via Mill Row. But if you stay for over four hours you risk being fined. See https://www.bexley.gov.uk/services/parking-transport-and-streets/parking-bexley/car-parks-and-street-parking Less suicidal smokers congregate outside a door at the back of the pub, which also gives access to and from the car park. But beware, you have to walk across poorly lit, uneven and cratered ground - which could be a training ground for injury claim lawyers!

Visited on a Friday evening, great atmosphere with resident DJ, open till midnight, last entry is a strict 11pm.

Came here recently for my 30th birthday - the staff were amazing and so attentive, the location was great and everyone was so accommodating. Drinks are priced very reasonably, toilets clean - everyone had an amazing evening. Plus the DJ was fab!! Had the best night. Thank you so much!

Such a great pub. Been coming here for years but it only gets better. Had the best night ever at Karaoke on Thursday night, such a good atmosphere and great service all night. Came back again at the weekend for a late lunch and stayed for the whole evening, DJ was fantastic and food was great.

I went here for Xmas day Dinner and it was awful and well over priced. We were over charged online before we had even sat down. We were sat at a table right by the back door so it was cold with people going in and out and the cheap paper table cloth was all ripped and stained with drink marks, we complained but were told that they can't stop people putting their drinks on the table even though it was set up for Xmas day dinner. Starters came out and were wrong and not what we ordered and mine tasted awful it was some sort of Pate but looked like dog food, again complained and they admitted to mixing our food with someone else's. Then it took ages to bring out our main meals eventually it came and we complained about it and the waitress said I am the only one working I am trying my best. Some of the food was not cooked properly as well again complained she just said I will tell the kitchen. After finishing our main meals the plates were just left on the table for ages and they brought the deserts out while our dirty plates were still left on the table so no room to put our deserts, I said to them this is awful service they said nothing just took the dirty plates away. We were then over charged again for extra food which we had not ordered unbelievable after such a shocking experience. The pub was not even that busy neither for Xmas dinner which makes it worse. A table of 8 left just before us and we're complaining of the bad service they received so it was not just us complaining. We were also over charged for drinks £16 for a non alcoholic cider and a vodka and lemonade again complained but was told the price was correct. I paid the bill and made an overall complaint to someone I think was the manager or supervisor and they offered nothing as a discount what so ever. I since complained to Greene king the owners of the pub and they just basically swept the complaint under the table and were quite rude on one of their emails and also offered absolutely nothing to me in compensation awful company they don't care about their customers experience they just want your money.

Dreadful! We had a terrible Sunday roast, firstly, we had to wait well over an hour for the food to arrive. The chicken was awful, so tough. Very small portions of vegetables, including a teaspoon of over cooked cabbage. Roast potatoes tasted ok, but only 2 small pieces. Nice cauliflower cheese. The gravy had been missed off on my husbands dinner. Also my drink came up with lipstick on the glass! All our 4 meals were awful, so very disappointing. Staff were polite & helpful.

Nice pint, but way too loud. I understand the need for the live music but it was deafening, you couldn't hold a conversation.

Had a mixed shareing platter 5 dish only £26 added some chips plenty for 2 couldn't eat it all so took some home was served by a lady called royann she was lovely came to check we had everything we needed and was interesting to talk to can recommend for a pub lunch

We only popped in for one drink as had already been out but ended up staying for the smart phone quiz. My app wasn't working so couldn't play it properly until the lovely lady behind the bar Tania came and let us use her phone (bless her she hadn't met us before so this was extremely kind of her). The quiz was such fun and we came a happy last which won us a £5 gift card. Shout out to Kieran also behind the bar. Thanks for making us feel so welcome 😀

We were at the George on Thursday night for a birthday party. We were served our starters mains and desserts in record time; even considering the staff were rushed off their feet with many bookings for both food and drink. Everything was delicious, the birthday boy was very pleased with his birthday celebrations at the George! Glad we chose your venue. We even stayed for karaoke which we did not expect to stay for! Steph was not only an efficient manager but also served the food and drinks to us; not every landlady/manager will do that… not in the places we usually go to anyway. It’s nice to see that they all work as a team and everyone supports each other. As a family, we will definitely be returning to this lovely and friendly local! Thank you for your hospitality!

Food and service were amazing. The flat iron steak was one of the best steaks I have had, would highly recommend. The katsu chicken burger was also excellent. The team were really welcoming and friendly.

Just been to the George and had the best night! Royann gave us the best service, even though it was busy she came and visited our table and made sure we had everything we need. Wouldn’t often review a night at the pub but honestly you don’t often meet such a lovely soul! Will definitely be back :)

A great local pub with a friendly atmosphere. The bar staff are really welcoming and helpful. Lots of drink choices for both alcohol and soft drinks. Karaoke on a Thursday and a dj at the weekend playing a great mixture of music. Highly recommended

Despite the signs advertising "Cask Ales" this Greene King pub does not serve any real ales. No idea about the food, service, or atmosphere because I didn't stay.

No bitter on tap and only two bottles of Old Speckled Hen in the cabinet. Clear I went to a pub not catering for a real ale enthusiast. A bit noisy.

Comfortable pub/restaurant with excellent pub food. I would have preferred they paid more attention to their online ordering system so I didnt have to go up and tell them I'd ordered a drink, but that's just my antisocial nature as their staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating.

I had an evening meal in the George. Steak skewer with dripping gravel, yummy. The portion size was good and served piping hot and very tasty too. The staff were happy, friendly and polite. Well done The George and thanks for a nice meal.

Really nice pub with decent pub grub too. They have a large interior with plenty of space and seats, it does get busy at times - Friday/Saturday night being a couple of those times but the environment is welcoming and the mood is generally quite a high/fun one. Pricing is expected for the area, it could be a little cheaper if I’m being honest and is one of only 2 criticisms I have about the place, the other being the “outside” area at the rear of the pub, they could do a lot lot more with the very limited space and furniture they have there. For example, adding in a “bar” level shelf of some sort to rest drinks on for smokers/vapers along the outside wall would help, and perhaps putting poser tables (higher level) out there rather than small regular tables would help to make it a little better looking and a more comfortable external environment too. All in all a great little pub, one to visit if you are on a Bexley pub crawl for sure as it’s right in the centre of it all!

took a close friend out for drinks on Tuesday night. the beer was ok although a selection of pumps were out of service so no Camden Hells available. the food was good, we went for a selection of small plates this is the bad bit, the gents toilet is disgusting, graffiti all over the walls, toilet was disgusting and from the staircase up you could smell the loo before entering

Always have a good time in here. It's always the right amount of busy with a friendly atmosphere. I mainly just either start the night or finish the night here, but no particular reason why.

Very well located with a great range of beers. The food and service were perfect in a relaxed environment can’t rate it highly enough. Brandon was exceptional and knew what we needed to drink before we did!
