Great local pub for drinks & food with friends. Staff friendly, food reasonably priced and Arthur makes you feel welcome. Would thoroughly recommend for a night out.

If i had to use one word to describe this little pub in welling it has to be the word amazing. I have been to tons and tons of pubs in my time. I never shy from a pint of guiness with a burger. And let me tell you they had all that in store and more. The moment i stepped in i was welcomed with this modern gastro pub asthetic, which set the tone for my whole visit. The stuff was extremely friendly and informative. The seats were comfortable and clean. The food were actually REASONABLY PRICED and extremely hot and and delicious. Again amazing ! This pub is a must visit if you feel like a good pint and warm food. Ig you are looking for a spot to watch the Six nations, or the premier league this is your spot. THIS IS WHERE YOU NEED TO GO !

The night ended awfully. I came here for my friends birthday who just turned 18, we were having a good time until we went to the toilet, my friend asked me to help her zip her top up so initially we took a bit longer in the toilet. One of the staff members burst into the toilet abruptly and said “we know what you are doing in here and if you carry on you will get kicked out” so me and my friend were very confused as to what has happened. We leave the toilet and she says that we were in there for 5 minutes, as if it is anyone concern as to how long a person can spend in the toilet, what if i had a medical condition? After a while i go back into the toilet and as i’m washing my hands the women who was working there comes back in and asks if anything alright, she was speaking in a very agressive manner, as i was about to leave my friend comes in the toilet because she didn’t know where i was and wanted to see if i’m okay. The security man bursts into the women toilets and tells us that he needs to speak to us and that the women working there accused us of doing drugs and other activities in the toilet (my friend has a boyfriend). Soon eniugh the security becomes very agressive and agitated and accuses me of being very agressive when in fact all i had said to him was “i can show you what is in my bag i have no issue in doinf so” and then he accuses me of being very agressive and demanding. Furhuremore, as we were trying to sort out the situation and u sweat and the situation he continuously raising his voice at us and started to abuse his authority by claiming i was shouting at him when in fact my words were “i understand that you are security and that the issue was reported to toh however i told you you can look through my bag, i have nothing to hide” and i was q accused of being rude when he was speaking ober me and didn’t let me get a word in. The night ended horribly and i would not recvomend going here, there are many other pubs which i can garantee are much better than this so please stay away if you have the chance.

Took the family out for a meal today to nags head welling there was 9 of us and I can’t express how lovely everything was from the food to the service to the atmosphere honestly the experience we had was the best well done guys we definitely will be back

A very nice and pleasant place to meet with friends, where you can eat and drink. Artur really puts in a lot of effort and cares about each customer! I highly recommend this place.

The pub has recently had a makeover and it’s really lovely, comfortable and spacious. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the food is very tasty.

Visited for a simple family lunch/catch up (party of 9 people) The pub has a nice atmosphere, all staff are very friendly and food service was prompt. We mostly ordered the roast both meat and veggie and the food was overall fairly good. Portions were a little inconsistent and the cauliflower cheese was a tiny portion with no real cheese sauce. A few of the party ordered dessert and these seemed to be very good as was the coffee. Overall the meal was good value and the experience was enjoyable and relaxed.

The Nags Head offers a comfortable relaxing atmosphere. The refurbishment is amazing. I had lunch with my daughter and the food and service was great. Staff are friendly and welcoming. A special mention to Gerry who is amazing and has a very friendly personality, makes you feel welcome, always greeted with a smile. Definitely will return.

A friendly and welcoming team, who looked after us well on the occasion of my mother-in-laws 81st birthday. The food was excellent and the drinks were good, as well as reasonably priced.

We went in for a few on a Friday night and had a really good and funny night.

The sunday roast was tasty and fresh. And atmosphere was not very noisy.

Had a great time at Nags Head Welling. Arthur and his team were very friendly, welcoming and made our night really fun. We were a group of 10 people. Big shout out to the DJ as well! Great song choices that got everyone dancing !

As a family of 6 we had Christmas Day dinner at the recently refurbished Nags Head. The food was excellent, plenty to eat, well presented, tasty and very reasonably priced for a 4 course meal. The drinks were normal pub prices. The staff were really friendly, attentive and helpful. We all enjoyed it and look forward to returning next Christmas.

The Nags Head in Welling is a refined elegant establishment. The quality of food had myself and partner drooling at the mouth, ready to stuff our faces like it was the last meal we would ever eat! The bar staff were tremendous in advising me with what is the best dishes, whilst having a good old jolly laugh with their banter. Furthermore, the variation in beers on tap is amazing compared to a majority of pubs in the area! My partner had a Cruzcampo which was absolutely delicious according to him, however my pint of Guinness was one of the creamiest Irish Brews I’ve ever experienced. I’m very happy with my overall time spent this evening in the Nags Head. I will definitely make a return with friends and family to share the brilliance of this gem of Welling!

Nice pub, good drinks and atmosphere, went on a Monday lunch time nice and calm,sat on a raised platform area, nice spot, would return.

Lovely pub. Amazing tap selection. Great atmosphere. Love the heated outdoor area! Bar personnel is exceptionally friendly and my aunt met her husband here so definitely worth checking out.

Have chosen to come here over the local because we found out Artur now’s owns this pub! Great food, staff and atmosphere! Will 100% be back in the future !!!

We had a wonderful experience at The Nags ahead in Welling for Christmas lunch, we were a party of 10. The atmosphere was warm and festive and the staff made sure everything was perfect. Our waiter was particularly attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious, Turkey was tender and the veggie meals came with the requested additions. Overall, a very enjoyable and memorable Christmas Lunch. We will book again next year..

Today had Turkey tradition meal at the Nags Head. We ordered drinks from a friendly, cheerful young lady. She wasn't sure about what we wanted (port and lemon) so was happy for us to tell her what it was and how to make it. Then joined in with our amusement over why we wanted it. We were shown to our pre booked seat, and did not feel hurried in any way to start our meal. Starters were very tasty, especially the mushrooms, and was a good sized portion. Christmas dinner was well cooked and presented. Again, very generous portions. We love the new decor, especially the 'nags' heads on outside of the building. The refurbishment definitely an improvement Staff were very attentive, chatty and friendly. We will definitely recommend 'the Nags'. Thank you for a lovely afternoon

Nice enough and local to me. I'm old enough to remember how it was originally and I still prefer it that way, however, times change. It's very modern and light with hanging baskets outside brightening up the season. My most recent visit was a Wednesday evening and I thought the ale/bitter range was somewhat disappointing just before Christmas. That's likely due to the average age of clientele and those beers are adequately covered in nearby micropubs. Sport on the TV, served quickly and it's clean, though despite 2 refurbishments, the loo appears to still have the 'stink' from the 80s. We didn't eat, so I'll make no comment on food. Would I go back? Absolutely.

Went to The Nags Head on Saturday 30th November, for our Christmas get together, there were about 15 of us, we pre booked our food from the Christmas menu, good value at 3 courses for £22, when we got there the table was laid out lovely with Christmas crackers and napkins on it,couldn't fault that at all,it's when the food came out that the disappointment came! I had chicken strips for starter, and it came with cranberry dressing which I asked for them not to put on, but it was covered, I did tell the server that I asked for it plain,to which I got a shrug of the shoulders, so didn't eat that, others had Prawn cocktail which they said was nice, and a soup which was ok, then the mains I ordered Christmas dinner as I didn't think you could get that very wrong but I was proved wrong! Well the gravy was in a little boat but you could slice it, potatoes were like boiled potatoes not roasted for long enough, turkey was compacted meat yuck! And the Yorkshire pudding you could of hammered in nails with it, it was so hard, Luke warm vegetarian, and a parsnip that looked like it was made out of rubber. I didn't eat a single bit! Others had steak which they said was ok but the peppercorn sauce was also too thick to pour like it had been hanging around. Pudding was ice cream so couldn't go wrong with that really. Overall the food was very disappointing. The drink prices were reasonable, and there was a dj, so you can have a dance.

I often Pop into the Nags Head when in the area visiting family. Been here a few times since early this year, the pub has been renovated and looks smart. The food (pub grub) is generally good and the staff are friendly. A great place to go on your own and/or you want to watch sports. However on this visit (Monday) the cook didn't know how to cook a medium rare Sirloin steak I ordered. The steak was lower grade (utility cut). Maybe stick to ordering pub style grub and burgers instead. Beer on tap is Ok. Greene King bottle. beers available.

10 out of 10. Food was amazing, service very efficient and the wibe of that place is unreal and its just because the manager and his team. Keep up good work guys. Superb

Booked a table of 16 on arrival there was a section called welling Corner just for us witch was very nice as it was a family meal so we could all socilise and the food was great better than you average pub grub will definitely be revisting oh and the service for a big booking was faultless big thanks to Arthur and team

Food pretty good, portions not excessively large but quite tasty. A good view of the football on TV, from pretty much everywhere in the pub.

Came in on Saturday with a few of my friends for some catch up drinks, the pub had a DJ at about 9ish the atmosphere was great. This is looking like the regular meet up spot from now on.

Good food, good atmosphere and even better cocktails 🤩 passion fruit martini was my favourite and for only £5.99 I think the nags will be seeing a lot more of me and my friends.

First time being back since the refurbishment and must say I am impressed, the pub looks brilliant and the service was 10 out of 10 as always well done guys keep it up.

Had two mains off of the classic menu and they was piping hot, fresh and good portion size. Always loved the nags even from when it was a flame and grill.

Lunch menu deal was a steal I had a glass of wine which was £6 something on its own and then to have a sandwich and chips with the glass of wine it was like £9! I couldn’t believe it , definitely the perfect spot for some lunch on the high street.

Hosted my dads 80th birthday at the Nags and they was more than attentive. What a great team ! Food only took 20mins to arrive. Quick service on the bar and the toilets were in immaculate condition. Will be returning that’s for certain.

Went in for Sunday lunch last Sunday and had a lovely meal, turkey and beef duo is always my go to, fresh veg and nice thick gravy, yummy !!

I've been to the nags head now a few times since moving to the area early this year, the pub has been recently renovated and looks fantastic. The food is very good and the staff were very friendly. A great pub to go to if you want to watch football lots of big screens etc. They are dog friendly too which is great! as I was able to bring my furry little mutt with me. Great pub! Ollie
