The Morgan in Bexley

We came to the kids party. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a lovely welcome. We were given a great seat so the children could be seen in the garden area. Both my children were entertained the whole time we were there, they absolutely loved Natalie. We finished with some food that they both enjoyed and went home with two very happy kids. They're already looking forward to their next visit! Great customer service. Thank you for a lovely afternoon!

Lovely welcome from friendly staff. Great choice of food, generous portions and everything tasted delicious. Mains served hot with a minimal waiting time. Beautifully plated decadent rich desserts and all very reasonably priced.

It’s always decent food and quick service. It’s family friendly aswell so we love coming here as a family of four. Good children’s selection too and overall menu selection is good. Especially love the newish flatbreads

Waited a hour from ordering our mains ...steaks were miss cooked and tough like old leather ...ordered dessert which took another 45 mins only too come out wrong ...tables dirty and the attitude from the manager was oh well......Will never eat hear again ....you should just go harvester

I wanted beef bourguignon from your festive menu (I had received an email saying that it was running from 25/11/22-24/12/22) and was told that was only on the menu for the 24-25 December only so I ordered the steak deal for myself with a prawn cocktail starter, for my wife I ordered Brie dippers starter and Hunters chicken for the mains I said about the mains offer cosy 30 for 30% off of my wife's main and was told that it had ended and I said that it still had 2 days left. I was not given the 30% off and did not get the dinner that I wanted. When the starter came my wife enjoyed it however my prawn cocktail had a sauce that was like water not the creamy sauce that usually comes with it. I ate it anyway but when the mains came the chips were cold (not even warm) my steak was barely warm, my wife's Hunters chicken was cold as well as the chips. I told them that it was cold and they brought us some more chips (which were nice and hot) but I said that the rest of the dinner was cold so they took them away and said that they would put them back on the grill. When they returned our meals with fresh chips the meals were warm not hot, the steak was warm but otherwise good, my wife's Hunters chicken was then very dry. We ate the dinner as we were hungry my wife left a lot of hers as it was too dry, we ordered desserts my wife had ice cream which she enjoyed and I had sticky toffee pudding with custard which was very good. I was very disappointed as the person that served us was completely unaware of your offers and menu's and we did not receive what we wanted and the condition of the starters and mains was also very disappointing. We were at the Morgan two weeks ago and had a very good meal and we were very surprised by how bad our meal was this time, we have been to the Morgan many times and felt that things were improving each time until yesterday. I hope that you take notice and rectify this as we usually enjoy our meals at the Morgan and would like to continue going there but not if our next meal is like yesterdays.

Came here just before the New Year with our family and from the start, Ellie was amazing. She made our group feel welcome, provided excellent customer service, and went above & beyond to make sure my husband got the crumble dessert he was eyeing-up! Thank you!

Ruby served me at the bar, she was welcoming and professional. The food we ordered was delicious, the lasagne and the sausage and mash. The food is great value for money. All the staff that were on their shift the evening we visited (New Year's Eve) are deserving of a mention.. well done everyone. I 100% recommend the Morgan, Belvedere.

My mother and I had our Christmas Dinner today @ the Morgan pub belvedere.I would like to say it was from start to finish ,faultless,from entering,to being kindly shown our seats,the waitress faith was excellent,pilote and helpful ,allof the staff were 1st class,especially Roxy ,who went out of her way to cater for us ,once again a big Thank you to all members of staff for making our Christmas Dinner exceptional

The Morgan is a great place with a great choice of food. The staff are all lovely and helpful. This is our regular place to go every month. It has plenty of parking, an outdoor garden area to eat and chill. Katie has always been helpful to us. (We haven't seen her recently)

The customer service was excellent. Dan, Ruby, Charlotte and the main manager, so sorry forgot her name. Can't wait for our christmas dinner. As I'm disabled didn't feel orchard at all. See you on the 25th

Me and the Friends group that I am part of really enjoyed our festive get-together in The Morgan. My colleagues loved their food. All of the bar staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. There's also a quiz every Monday. I will definitely join in one week. Excellent.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to the team at The Morgan for making our visit fantastic today. We called up last minute, and even though they had a busy evening of bookings, they kindly managed to fit a group of 8 of us in. The manager and team are so friendly and are very welcoming. Especially Dan the very friendly chef behind the carvery and Lily behind the bar who catered for all our needs (4 fussy children). Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back!

I came here with my family for dinner, the staff were very helpful, Ellie was very friendly and looked after us during our dinner. The food was great and everyone had clean plates. Would definitely recommend and we will be coming back soon!

Wrong time of year to go as people are reserving tables. Big TV's are not nice, only if your into sports.

First trip back to the Morgan for a while and the whole experience was great. Service was quick and staff friendly. We had Carvery which was so nice and had so much choice. The meat was cooked to perfection. Ellie the manager was brilliant as always.

Ellie (the manageress )and her team have really turned this place around, the carvery is excellent carved and cooked to perfection by Dan, he obviously takes great pride in what he does, as all the staff there do. Great for kids, lil play area for them to play in, great for parents who just want a break, highly recommend this pub. Thanks again for a great Sunday roast.

Went to the morgan on Sunday for carvery for my 56th birthday with my dad and my missus what can I say it was first class from start to finish all the staff are all so helpfull and friendly make you feel welcome Dan the chef on the carvery so polite and helpful and gave me plenty of meat the food was so tasty and well cooked I can not fault anything I will definitely be back thank you all.John Mandy and Joe

At last they have a manager that knows what they are doing Communicating with dinners. Friendly approach from all. Get rid of this manager and you might as well sell up and put up flats.

I organised a large group to eat here on Friday, they were very helpful with the booking and letting me choose where we would all sit. On the night they were just as helpful and accommodating. Our food was lovely, not everyone in the group loved their food, but that's just down to personal taste. Everyone at our end of the table really enjoyed it. Overall, very helpful and friendly staff, good atmosphere, great evening! Thank you!

We have been regulars here for many years but have been very disappointed with the service, atmosphere and food over the past year so like most customers who were not happy we voted with our feet and only went in when desperate. I am so please that we took a chance on sunday carvery today. The old joyful atmosphere is back. The food quality is also back, no more half slices of meat that used to be dished and reduced measures on your drinks that used to be served up by the tall miserable guy who I think was one of the managers. Now one of the old crew Ellie is managing the atmosphere is so warm and welcoming. Only request is that the fuller menu returns with a bigger selection of foods.

Excellent pub and food fantastic service

Typical Marston's pub, the reason I'm leaving a review is I ordered a starter and main and was given the bill as I ordered, which is typically common in these types of pubs, but this card machine was asking me what % tip I would like to leave 🤔 which I found very rude and unprofessional considering they hadn't given me any service yet. I don't leave tips on machines as you don't know where your money is going

i came in on sunday (10th ) with my daughter and who was quite bored ( expected if her age ) the waitress brought her some crayons and what looked to be a kid’s menu which was a huge help. Overall, the bar staff were lovely. The waitress that served me ( i was unable to ask for her name ) She looked young, blonde and she was extremely polite and helpful. I felt very welcomed by all staff. However, the chef forgot my gravy! but the waitres quickly resolved that issue. Floor staff did not stop from the period i was there. I look forward to my visit in the future

Generally friendly atmosphere. Full of lone workers popping in to get fed from the Travelodge next door. Beige food served hot and quickly by always friendly staff. Dreadful real ale but I always try it in hope. Would kill for a bit of home cooked fresh food but stuck with the usual uninspiring pub chain menu. I'm sure the chefs probably feels the same. Definitely avoid the nachos. That ain't actual cheese, guacamole or sour cream!

Brilliant evening good food and an excellent night as there was a Halloween quiz night on, run by james and Robyn had 18 teams it was such good fun.

Brilliant night out for the pub quiz and music bingo, great fun! Looking forward to our next visit. Good food too! Friendly staff and the other customers were also welcoming. Not our first visit and certainly won't be our last!

Great pub ,lovely freindly staff ,carvery can be hit or miss but overall recommend. The Halloween party was absolutely brilliant, entertainment was amazing and all free ,the tables were all decorated which was a lovely surprise.

Can't complain about the service, but the tiled floor can be very slippery, when wet. Be careful if you are on high heels.

First time visit to The Morgan for a Sunday carvery. The meat selection and vegetables on offer at the carvery were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The only disappointment was there was no Marstons fine ales on the pumps...! The Morgan would have scored 10/10 today. However, the lack of ale only scores the Morgan a 7. Hopefully the landlord will read this.

Budget dinner with bugdet atmosphere.

We visited on the 10/10/24 our 3rd visit, the first 2 visits were great, good food and good service. This 3rd visit left much to be desired. Shared Nachos for starters arrived very cold, as if it had come straight from a fridge, with dressing on only one half, I took it back and was asked if I wanted it reheated or redone, I opted for the second option. The second one arrived was warm this time very little dressing again and no cheese at all. Main meals arrived and were acceptable. Ordered dessert after waiting 30 minutes and table not being cleared, we asked a waitress about the dessert to be told “they are all probably at lunch I’ll have to do it myself” It wasn’t particularly busy so very disappointed with the poor service and food.

Great place, great team, delicious food and amazing environment. We've been served by servers Darren and Paul and they were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. Chef Michelle made incredible meals... the order was beef, turkey or pork/gamon by personal choice with vegetables and other sauses. Fantastic. Highly recommend the place and the team.

I didn't have any foods here. I bought a soft drink. All the staffs are very polite, friendly and helpful. A very nice environment for a get-together with friends and relatives.

Highly recommend it. We've been served by two servers: Paul and Darren and both were amazing. The chef Michelle, cooked delicious 😋 food.

Super busy on the Thursday before Jubilee weekend and the waiting reflected this with 50 mins for main course (No starters). But when it came the food was fresh.

Really enjoyed it here today staff friendly food was spot on apart from a rude customer ordering his food and drinks being very disrespectful to the young girl serving him she was so polite and how she kept her cool was beyond me but all I can say is she's been taught well and her customer service was brilliant 👏 and it was so busy aswell, so well done young lady, we will most definitely be back with friends and family felt very welcome here 😊

I have dined at the Morgan, Belvedere many times and have always found the food to be very good. Great staff and a good atmosphere on Monday nights when playing the weekly speed quiz. Well done and thanks to James, Robyn and the team.

I go to speed quiz every Monday at 7.30. Good variety of rounds with a fast track round where we can go to top. A round of bingo after. Friendly host.

I come every Monday night for the Morgan quiz and it’s none stop laughing jokeing and longer staff service robin and James who do the quiz and are so lovley and make sure all there costumes are very welcome

The pub is such a nice atmosphere especially on Monday nights when the quiz is taking place

I still come here despite the constant issues pretty much every visit. The food isn’t consistent and seems different every week in some way, and things always get forgotten. Don’t get me wrong, the food isn’t terrible and it’s nice enough for an evening out, but the inconsistency isn’t good enough. Asked for the extra mozzarella and cheese add on for my burger as it was listed on the menu, and I even double checked when ordering and got assured I’d get it, but it had no mozzarella. Could’ve said something but fed up of saying something every time. It never use to be like this..

Got evacuated from work to this place today, great gardens, great food, staff all happy and friendly. Toilets could do with a revamp, maybe the manager will spend some of the extra thousands of pounds they took extra today on them, you know it's the best Monday money you have ever taken... 😉

Came for a roast today around 2:30pm with my daughter and son-in-law, was greeted at the door by a lovely gentleman who was very welcoming and attentive he showed us to our table and was really lovely!! Food was really nice and everything was cooked perfectly. Service was excellent!! Staff are all nice and friendly. The restaurant was clean and tidy. Overall this is a beautiful well kept pub/restaurant. Highly recommend We will definitely be back

Get the fish and chips! The fish was soooooo big and crispy on the outside, and lovely and soft and meaty on the inside. One word YUUUUM!!! 😁

a simple order of chicken wings and fries was placed but after half an hour they still hadn't been served after I complained to the bar and waited another 20 minutes and still didn't get what I ordered

The staff were friendly and helpful, but they didn't seem to be aware that some key ingredients were missing from the menu. My son's mango chutney wasn't available (was told after the food was served) and the yoghurt sauce for my kebab was missing and the server didn't appear to know what it was. She then offered garlic mayo that is been told previously they were out of. Fine I suppose, but for a Friday night meal, it would have been cheaper to order a takeaway.

Visited this week and it was fantastic, the staff were all friendly with great customer service and all with a smile.

Another great visit to the Morgan, top carvery

Return visit and arrived just after noon with low expectations. Sadly my expectations were met! QR code on menus and signs all around restaurant encourage ordering via code. However error message advising on-line ordering not available at this venue! Ordered at bar and paid but payment asks for tip prior to receiving food. Naturally I declined as whilst I’m happy to tip I like to do so on the basis of the food and service received (I.e. at the end of the meal). A few minutes after placing meal staff member came to table to advise no baguettes available (2 of the light bite options) so cheaper alternative ordered but no refund/compensation offered). Good arrived and was reasonable although side salad drowned in dressing. Then ordered deserts to be advised one option not available. Had to wait over 20 minutes for deserts. Overall disappointing experience again and I doubt I’ll return.

The whole family attended yesterday for roast dinner everyone had been sick and either sent home from work or unable to get out of bed the food was dry left out and not covered half the food was not edible and was left on the plates

Generally very good, friendly, well organised and good food. Great choice of drinks. Good outdoor space. Always worth a visit. Just don't have anything in pastry. It was inedible and solid.

We live in Norwich but came to London to visit family. We happened to have passed Morgan’s and it looked so lovely we decided to stop and tell our family to meet us there. So glad we did! Lovely place, lovely gardens and yummy food (and drinks!). Staff were lovely - both behind the bar and waitresses. Made us feel very welcome, please thank them for us and tell them what a great job they’re doing!

It took 30 minutes for them to make me chips garlic bread and cheesy bites. I was most upset with the cheesy bites which cost me £5.99 and I got 4(3 in pic). They accidentally served me 8 chicken wings which cost the same price. Morel buy the wings you get more for your money. Because obviously chicken cost less than cheese lol. Very upset paying 6 pound for 4 bites.

Had a large roast carvery sadly the new owner who was carving the meat was cutting it wafer thin and the roast potatoes had no crisp to it bit rubbery and soft. My wife had ate all her plate before her vegetarian option was brought to the table we ordered our daughter a ice cream sundea 25 minutes later we had to re order it. I feel the experiences I have once had at the Morgan is sadly gone. but I will give them the benefit of excuse it may have been an off day and give it one more try

Firstly the staff were friendly as always. The issue was with the meals, I ordered a mixed grill but could only eat the meat as the chips were so smothered in salt that they were inedible. I did have them replaced but they did not arrive until after I had eaten the rest of the meal. The same happened with my sons meal which was fish and chips, The Chips again were inedible as there was so much salt on them. Cant quite understand why the chef would smother the chips in salt, (and I mean smother) - surely this should be down to the customers taste. My daughter had the chicken tikka. I understand that meals such as this are not necessarily made fresh to order but the quality was that of a cheap supermarket microwave meal and the mango chutney was missing. The cost was £12.59 so I can only imagine what the mark up was. My wife is currently following a meal plan, so it was disappointing to discover that the sandwich and jacket potato menu was not on display. Overall not a great experience.

Great place for a bite to eat food was hot and fresh, garden area is large with a kids play area. Would recommend for a bite to eat with the kids.

I would highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere to get a decent carvery that you avoid the Morgan at Belvedere at all costs. The attitude of the person serving on the carvery was beyond disgusting, when I asked for a decent sized slice of beef after only being given the tiniest slither that was no longer than the size of my little finger and no more than about 2 to 3 mm thick at most. Having paid nearly £15 for a carvery this is disgusting. I asked for an additional slice only to be told that the meat is weighed and I can’t have any more. The weight of my slice of beef could weigh more than a 1p coin. To me is a matter of principle and so I loaded my plate up with all the Vegetables, potatoes, gravy, et cetera deliberately so that I could waste it. No more than The Morgan at Belvedere deserves!

The meal drinks and staff were great That’s not what I said. The meal took 1 hour 15mins and was not good the steak was like a bit of rubber. I have been going for quite a few years will be looking else where.

Waited forever for food really really slow wife had and finished her food and drink mine came 35 mins later over 50 min wait appalling .

Three out of four orders came to the table incorrectly. Staff taking orders at the bar seemed incapable of getting the orders right. We are still waiting for one of the items ordered. Very disappointing. Carvery was good but not outstanding. Definitely not recommended.

Closet pub to my hotel whilst travelling in business. Best burger I have had in a chain pub for a while. Didn’t realise it was quiz night though, which was ridiculously annoying. Even though I was sat at the opposite end of the pub from the quiz I could not escape the distorted sound of the mic and petty arguments between quiz master and bar staff. Left as quickly as I could!!!Avoid Monday nights if you don’t like quizzes

Arrived 1230 on Friday to find just one barstaff serving a queue ordering food. Only pump ale was a golden ale. Seems they are not prepared for the influx they should expect. Not the first time this has happened so won't be venturing there again anytime soon

A vast improvement on our last visit. Top notch carvery. All nice and hot and great service.

Excellent food,great big outside space if you want to eat outside and a kids play area,great prices.. Only downside is the dessert menu there is not much of a selection..
