After sending many emails and making calls to other pubs in the area, Kyle answered the phone and answered my questions straight away. I was trying to find a suitable location for a morning reception following a funeral of a family member. The Rose and Crown was fabulous from beginning to end! Opened early for us, catered to exactly what I requested teas, coffees and buns, scones which were delicious. Even though it was a sad day Kyle and the team made it bearable. The team were very accommodating and we all felt well looked after. Thank you

Lovely traditional pub, draught line-up wasn't really for me but certainly some classic real ales on the pumps. Would recommend this pub for when in Chorleywood

Excellent food and service. Sunday roast was great - hot, tasty and plenty on the plate. Would definitely recommend and will go back myself.

Nice atmosphere, one less point on service as asking on Vegan option a staff laughed like it didn't matter, however had options on menu and food was actually quite good

After a bad experience at our local Indian restaurant which we have dined at for years and probably twice a week we are now visiting lots of other places and it’s really been refreshing. The feathers was packed and my daughter was offered an outdoor table bit chilly but we accepted. While I was driving from Wembley I rang and spoke to a lovely lady who said a bar table was available I said I would wait till we arrived. Upon arrival spoke to Sandra who I had spoken to on the phone and she had just had a cancellation for a table. The menu is large and good vegan portions. Our party opted for Sunday roast and all thoroughly enjoyed. We asked for extra roast potatoes but to be honest didn’t really need. I had the vegan pie with mash and veg. It was lovely. Can I mention all the food was piping hot too. This is a fabulous pub with history and it’s such a pleasure to find a place that has excellent staff, great food. Highly recommend The Feathers can’t wait to return and try another vegan dish a big up to Sandra. As a vegan not keen on nut roast so maybe another option on a Sunday roast would be lovely.

Visited on Sunday with friends, the venue looks lovely, however we were seated in the outside tent which was disappointing as it was cold, they do have heaters but you are blasted with heat which you can’t stand for more than a couple of minutes if you are seated underneath so you spend a lot of time turning the heaters off and on constantly. The food… well this is the biggest failure. I can honestly say it was the worst roast Sunday roast I have ever eaten! Utterly vile!! The roast potatoes had obviously been sitting in an oven for hours and hours being kept warm as they had that indescribable hard and holllow taste, and were cold rocks when served to me, in fact the whole entire dish was cold! The beef was cold, hard and chewy, inedible. To charge nearly £20 for this is a disgrace! We ploughed on and had dessert and the failures kept coming. The warm chocolate cake was hard and dry. The crumble was served with a tiny side pot of custard which they put ketchup in on the side, and the crumble is stewed fruit with cold crumble mix thrown on top! I had visited this pub years before and thought the food was bad then, but revisited this time as it was suggested by friends so went along, that will be the last time ever!

Getting to the station with a pram you need to go on a long convoluted route which is not well lit up and you cannot buy a ticket!returning from London there are only stairs!! Not helpful and certainly not disability or family friendly
