Getting to the station with a pram you need to go on a long convoluted route which is not well lit up and you cannot buy a ticket!returning from London there are only stairs!! Not helpful and certainly not disability or family friendly

Efficient staff and very clean. Impressive! The man behind the counter explained the various tickets available and got us the cheapest deal.

Can't vouch for weekdays but on Saturday's its around £4.00 to park at the station and a day rider is £17.00. This is quite an increase since last 2 years when it was only £12.00. Train service to London is every half hour and it removes the stress of driving and parking. Easy walk from car-park to platform, though disabled may find this quite a hike; it's about 300 metres with a walk down, and back up, a steep ramp to and from the ticket office. The ticket machine at the car-park seems fine for coins but I've seen people with a phone app struggling to make it work.

Will give a balanced view as there were good and bad experiences throughout our visit though as a whole it was ‘ good ‘ and we will be returning ! We were a large group of diners - 9 - and super grateful that our booking was accommodated with only a days notice on a sunny and warm day . The pub itself is highly accessible , good parking, is dog friendly with a fabulous beer garden and views so a popular choice in warmer weather Our table was in the conservatory where there are no blinds so uncomfortable for a few in our party due to the strength of the sun through the glass but luckily most of us had our sunglasses with us and were ‘ layered ‘in clothing options so we could adapt :) easy access to the garden meant some of our group could go outside at points when the heat through the windows was too much and we discovered we could open a couple of the windows to make the location more comfortable The service throughout the meal was very very slow , no server still after being seated for 40 minutes , we then had to ask twice for a server to attend which eventually they did and took our orders . Thankfully when the food came it was really really lovely which made up for the poor table service , there was a problem with one of our meals which meant it needed to be recooked , this took a long time but again once that was sorted out it was lovely . The restaurant dealt with the complaint and offered a round of drinks to all of the group which was very welcomed At 5pm the main dessert of apple pie had ran out which left a few people disappointed but the substitutes of sticky toffee pudding and brownies were lovely so once again the service and experience was recovered :) In all a good experience although I think it’s important to register that the service was very very slow - one to be aware of if you haven’t got time for a leisurely lunch - we were there over 3 hours in total which was fine for us
