What a great choice for a really rainy Saturday bank holiday lunch. Our preferred table next to the fireplace and window was ready for us. Service was great despite the pub being very busy. I had the steak and chips and Mum had the chicken wrapped in prosciutto with new potatoes and a white wine sauce. Both dishes were very well prepared and presented. We do enjoy our meals here - great choice and ingredients, good ambience and care for the customer experience,

Had a family birthday lunch and what a welcome we received, bright and cheery smile. Extensive menu, no one will go hungry and decent size portions. A friend had told us that she had gone to this pub on her own and had the pie of the day and she had never tasted a pie like that in her life and she is 62yrs old. Thought I would try it with a couple of friends, (I’m the same age) and she wasn’t lying, I haven’t tasted such a tasty pie in my life, stuffed with chicken and mushrooms and a little layer of puff pastry, piping hot and in an individual tin. My friend had a club sandwich which was massive and also stuffed with chicken and bacon the other one had the doom bar battered cod and she never eats a whole meal, but cleaned her plate, it was worth every penny and the staff were so lovely. Really clean equipped loos. The whole experience was 10/10. I’ll be back with my family next week.

There was 8 of us that visited for Sunday lunch. The atmosphere was lovely sitting outside and the food and service was amazing. Would recommend

Ahaving had a great family Boxing Day lunch at The Feathers, ten of returned for Easter Sunday and my Mum’s 80th. We were in the slightly recessed area which was really cosy and a perfect size for our party. Everyone enjoyed the roasts and the steaks. The younger kids enjoyed the fun Easter egg hunt organised by manager Victoria. Mum loved the whole experience. We will certainly return for future family celebrations.

If I can zero star it I would, I am absolutely livid at the fact I have come here with family to celebrate a birthday, we had my 8 and half month old son with us and there is no baby changing facilities on site, they have high chairs here and a kids menu and no baby changing facilities, my son filled his nappy to a point it was over his arms, legs, hands, I asked to speak to a manager and they said if we have a towel they have somewhere we can use which we did so they gave us a step behind a coded door on a rough floor in the freezing cold!!! To top it off we were the told we need to leave as it's gone 8pm and it's over 21 after that, I can't not even begin to explain how angry I am, we are a party of 11 people and none of us will be retuning and we will be telling our friends the same.

After a Saturday lunchtime walk with my partner and baby, we had earnt ourselves a pint and came across this gorgeous old pub. The decor is the perfect mix of old and new and the outside space is so beautifully done. The staff were the right mix of professional and fun, especially the girl on the bar who was really engaging (short hair, said she was new). We will definitely be back. Great pint too 👍

Another super visit to the Feathers. Mum and I both had the sirloin, she with the sautéed potatoes and me with the chips. A very satisfying plate of food with tasty garnishes. Great atmosphere, nice service. We do like it here.

Beef, mushroom and ale pie for 2 with a couple pints of beer. Good vegetables and mashed potatoes to go with the pie. Super hot food, so hot I had to wait to take a fork full. Positive for me as it meant the food had come straight from the kitchen. Always enjoy the Feathers. Serving team are friendly and attentive. I like the fact as well that it’s over 21’s after 6pm

This was our second time at The Feathers + happy to say it was just as good as the last time! Delicious food (do NOT miss the beef mushroom + ale pie, or the chicken katsu burger) + absolutely delightful, charming + friendly service - they had a large wedding party in, but we were in no way overlooked. No car park but there is a municipal car park just up the road which is free on Sundays so perfect. Great pub.

I love this place, if I had 1 problem it would be trying too get through on the phone can be difficult but don't let this stop you from dropping by they will try their hardest too accommodate you, the food is too die for i have not had anything that hasnt been totally tasty and well presented , the staff are pleasant and helpful they actually look like they enjoy their jobs, the beer is fresh the glasses are chilled, an absolute haven of delights.

My elderly mum and I had lunch here at the end of November on the first day they were serving the festive menu and enjoyed it so much we decided to book for our family Boxing Bay lunch. We chose a cosy recessed area which worked perfectly for 8. We had a wonderful time. The atmosphere, service and food were all spot on. It was so cosy and Christmasy. I think it may well become an annual family festive event!

I recently booked The Feathers for a work Christmas lunch for around 30 people, seated in The Wing. Kuda was very attentive and went above and beyond to look after us all and the manager was also good fun and very helpful - they both really made the experience. Service was quick and they were very accommodating with any extra requests. The food was great and such good value as well. All of the staff were lovely and helped make it a huge success. What a wonderful pub, we’ve been a few times so knew it would be the perfect space to have a family lunch for our daughters upcoming 5TH birthday. It’s the busiest time of year yet as a group of 20+ we didn’t feel this at all. The team the service the planning all was flawless. Victoria we just love your pub. The food was exceptional, such big portions we all definitely over ate - having a pre-order in place always helps with everyone being able to enjoy their meal at the same time. Visited on a Sunday lunchtime with friends for lunch. The pub was very welcoming and the staff were excellent, attentive and friendly. The meals we had, one roast beef, 2 vegetarian wellingtons and salmon were all very tasty. We will definitely return again. Thank you

This is without doubt one of the nicest pubs I have been to. The food was absolutely fantastic but what I really wanted to leave a review about was the outstanding customer service we received from a lovely young lady, who apparently returns from uni to continue to work there, who was absolutely born to do what she is doing. She just made the entire experience brilliant and her timing was impeccable. I just wish id got her name but I am sure anyone who has been there will know her...I hope her boss reads this and never lets her go! Thank you lovely girl x.

The Rude Pub. The pub I recently visited had a rude owner who made my experience there unpleasant. The moment I walked in, the owner looked at me with a scowl on her face and barely acknowledged my greeting. Throughout my visit, she was short and curt with me, never once asking if I needed anything or offering any assistance. The atmosphere of the pub was otherwise cozy and inviting however, the owner’s behavior made it difficult for me to relax and enjoy my time there. I felt like I was a burden to him, rather than a valued customer. Overall, I would not recommend this pub to anyone. The owner’s behavior was unacceptable and made my experience there unpleasant. I would rather spend my money at a pub where the owner and staff are friendly and welcoming.

My elderly mum and I enjoyed a delicious sirloin steak by the roaring fire. The steak was cooked to perfection and came with delicious mushrooms and tomatoes. I had fat chips and mum had sautéed potatoes. I think I’ll go for the sautéed potatoes next time. We were very well looked after by Chloe and Kuda and look forward to returning very soon.

My partner and I very much enjoyed our meal here. The sausage and mash was very good and a really good portion. Both of us had empty plates. Despite how busy it was the staff were on top of things and ensured the food was to our liking during the meal. The team were also very friendly. Service was also reasonably quick despite how busy it was. I would recommend booking as it clearly is a popular pub.

What an amazing place, the food was excellent, great choice of foods, the staff are so lovely, all so happy and felt very looked after. A real credit to this beautiful pub/ restaurant, we got there early and was given our table early, no rushing we stayed there until we left to go to the theatre. I was left with so many mixed feelings and pretty much let down at the end of my experience here. I was looking forward to coming here as my friend recommended the food. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner but there was a weird vibe that she let off. During the evening, she came up to me and asked me where I was from, I thought she meant area wise but no, she wanted to know my ethnicity. She then went on to say how annoying it is that every other name is Asian and that ‘we are all telling each other’ about this place. I quickly realised she didn’t really want too many of ‘’our kind’ as she put it and made a point to mention this. Well, I made a point to tell her that my friend who recommended it is white. She then came up a second time as we had a friend join us a bit later and as soon as she saw him coming, she said ‘oh you phoned a friend’ to which the guys thought that she was now being directly racist. Message to you lady; I actually liked you despite your comments. Don’t worry, we are not looking to come back even though I have to say I enjoyed the food and the service - you are a business. Whether a white, black brown or orange person person walks through your door, we are all spending money to help you. I may be Asian but I am also British and proud I see people as people not their colour. People like you cause divide with other imbeciles. Don’t be this person, I’m not upset or angry with you but I will be sending more ethnic people your way lol - enjoy!

Well, where do I start, the landlady went out of her way to spoil the special day! You are so up your backside and then you have the audacity to call me darling. How classy are you, I am nobodies darling, especially yours. The way you treat your staff is appalling, so unprofessional and disrespectful in front of your clientele as well. You are my landlady! Nothing more and nothing less, there is a bigger picture here which you’ll never see as we are not coming back!! 💰

Great service from the moment I made the phone reservation. Arrived early not a problem from I was told by the waitress. The food we ordered was first class as was the service thankyou.

Went for dinner on a lively Friday evening. Good service and excellent food. The manager Victoria chatted to us for a while and made us feel very welcome. The pub was busy, with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely visit again.

Fantastic pub. Staying in Rickmansworth as family going into London. Ultra fog friendly great outdoor area. Landlady literally does not stop, wish I had her step count. Will be back next time we do a stop over for z xx London

This could be a very long review, but will try to flag the main points. Such terrible organisation and service. Left standing at the entrance of 10 minutes. No service unless and until you go and call someone over. A half empty pub, and LOADS of young staff hanging around doing very little, just chatting, but no apparant management or organisation. A handful rushing around and doing their best. In frustration I went to the bar to order dessert, despite our empty dinner plates sitting for ages on the table. The young man standing chatting to his matës just said "we don’t take orders at the bar". The waffle dessert was a piece of inedible hard dough...the waitress when we pointed this out, uneaten, said the it wasn't raw because it came to them precooked, so the problem must be us. I'll stop their. You get the gist.

Awful service. We waited by the front desk for 10 minutes. Numerous staff walked past, no one addressed us. When confirming my booking I was told it wasn’t booked even though I had email confirmation so they couldn’t give us a place outside (as per the reservation), even though someone else had their outside booking extended (I heard the conversation in front of me). The general service was slow. To top it off one of my friends was offered drugs in the toilet as well. Won’t be coming again.
