Unfortunately the pub has been neglected in recent times. The toilets are a disgrace and they need completely refurbishing. The general area appears to be in need of a good clean. The staff are friendly & there are a choice of beers available. There are better places in the area

We were up from Cornwall visiting family in Rickmansworth so decided to book this restaurant for a family get together there was a total of 16 of us ranging from Great grandparents down to our 5 Great granddaughters, we have visited here before when leaving for Cornwall in 2015 we done a big leaving party then when we visit we will often use this pub. The food was really lovely but the service was really poor with bad attitude from one of the waitresses which you don't need spending over £350 two or three made comments about her maybe she should find a job where she doesn't have to deal with the public

Dreadful food - I do not know what has happened to the Pub - empty and no atmosphere - we have been regulars for the past 5-6 years and the food has always been good. I had pie of the day which normally comes in a white metal enamel dish and all homemade filling with a lovely fluffy pastry top - last night we had a pie that looked like it had come from the local chip ship and all mushy inside, chips in a large round plate and all gravy smothered over them - my wife's ham, egg & chips was tasteless and dreadful - Very disappointing indeed and we will certainly be giving this a wide birth - Not sure what has happened, seems a lot of new faces. Perhaps the Pub has been sold!!

Probably the best pub I’ve visited in 30 years of frequenting pubs, no exaggeration! Ambiance is always on point, multiple areas to sit, (or stand), both indoors and outdoors, menu is full and varied, food is always perfect, customers aren’t rushed into making decisions, table service all day, every day, and, the best part, the staff are always polite, courteous, informative, and, above all, friendly, especially an absolutely brilliant young lady with dark hair, whose name escapes me, (sorry if you’re reading this), but only because I’m getting old! 👴🏼😊 Bonus, it’s dog friendly in all areas except the main restaurant. I used to take my two Akitas, Strauss and Lucie, until both passed away recently. 😔 Seriously, if you’re looking for a place to eat/drink, with a friendly vibe, The Artichoke on the Green, Croxley, is your place! 👌🏼

Getting to the station with a pram you need to go on a long convoluted route which is not well lit up and you cannot buy a ticket!returning from London there are only stairs!! Not helpful and certainly not disability or family friendly
