The best restaurants serving British food in Milton Southend-on-Sea East of England

Was here Saturday 5th October great food and staff the place is clean. And at a very good price I will be back .

Great Food Just one illegal thing to mention to the owner Item on menu and receipt Donuts £1.50 It's plural meaning two or more donuts you are purchasing. I asked the waitress how many donuts do you get and to my shock she said one. I said that's not right as it doesn't state one donut implying a customer is buying one. It says Donuts. Out of curiosity I thought maybe the menus wrong, I purchased item anyway and even on the receipt it says Donuts £1.50 even though you only get one donut. Please for the manager, under both Trading Standards and The Trades Description Act, the item in question must be listed correctly as: One Donut £1.50. Then you're all legal and not misleading customers. Other than that the staff were nice polite and surprisingly the Vegetarian Burger is the best vegetarian burger I've ever tasted so hats off to the chef 😀

Visited The Estuary by chance after watching a show at Cliffs Pavilion. Served by really friendly waiting staff. I had the all day breakfast which was perfectly cooked. Speed of service was very good. Would definitely recommend.

Fry up not good. Fried Tomatoes inedible / not fresh at all & overall a very very oily greasy expensive meal. Fried toast was almost dripping in oil too and could only manage one bite before feeling sick. my partner couldn’t even eat the skin of her jacket potato because they were dry and tough as old leather boots and didn’t even have butter on them. God knows how old they were. Awful.

We had breakfast here before we headed off to London. What a great start to our day. Beautiful food in a lovely atmosphere

A second visit and again very happy. Yes it is traditional but what wrong with that. We don't all want expensive boutique alacarte eating. The steak and Guinness pie was amazing my wife gad grilled salmon and was very happy. We will go again.

Please would you consider opening a Rossi's in Norwich. I'm from Essex and miss you. Even Asda here has stopped selling it...why x

Firstly our waitress was really friendly and took time to explain what gluten free options were on the menu for my friend. Despite being busy the service was good. The food was ok, but nothing special. There is a good choice of food on the menu. It is definitely worth going here before a show at the Cliffs Pavilion but do book as it’s very popular.

We went for an early lunch and was seated and given menus quickly. Between us, we ordered an omelette, chicken sandwich, a kids meal of sausage and chips, and a bowl of chips. We waited about 45 minutes for our meal, given that there weren't many people seated, thought this was quite a long wait. When we got our meals, we were very surprised the kids meal literally had one sausage, and a few chips (I think this was about £7 or £8) The chicken sandwich was cheap bread and minimal salad garnish. The omelette was nice, although I had to share with my grandson as he was still hungry!!! Don't think this is one I would come back to.

Appalling The rudest staff I have ever met Don't do the job if you don't enjoy it Management needs to address the waitresses...bitter, rude, aggressive

Our office Christmas party night at Ravens was a fantastic night. The service was very friendly and I can honestly say that this was the best food of all the work Christmas parties attended over the years. Thanks to all of the Ravens team for making this a night to remember. We hope to be back next year!

Great Staff, good food great view.

Excellent service. The cod and chips were lovely and tasty.

We took our father to The Captains Table yesterday for a birthday lunch. The staff were very friendly, the food was excellent, massive portions. The fish and chips were especially good. Served with smiles. We had a problem getting our disabled father from his wheelchair back into the car and the waitress and chef came to the rescue. Such lovely people, we would probably still be there if they hadnt helped us! I can’t praise them enough, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant .Thanks guys

awful kebab, was in a cheap tortilla wrap covered in cheap sauce,meat was poor quality salad was no better than meal deal box lettuce
