Great place can't fault it. Worth the drive from Luton. Foods always very hot, by the time we reach home it's ready to eat.

First time visitor today had a roast and couple of lagers and must say the food was lovely the barman and lady was friendly and great service. the atmosphere was great will be returning for sure.

The best for good wholesome food served by brilliant staff. Sam made our visit enjoyable.

I’m staying away on business and used this place twice last week. Had the mixed grill both times and it was ok. The central heating was as broken but they tried hard to make people comfortable. Visited today, Monday 25th Feb and regret it. I ordered from the 2 course menu and received the mushrooms as a starter. Well three slices of a mushroom on a piece of bread. It was ok ish. Then the steak and ale pie. It was vile, soggy base, odd gristly chewy meat with an odd texture and oddly sweet. The chips were re-cooked (they weren’t like this last week). The poor guy on the bar was attentive but too busy to serve me for the first 10 minutes (he acknowledged me and was apologetic) but then didn’t check back so I say with my uneaten dish for 25 minutes. He immediately took it off the bill but no offer of an alternative so I left hungry. Worst still, I paid for 1 drink and the starter at full price, which can’t have been a regular portion, half a mushroom for £6.75. I’ve got another 6 days in the area and shan’t return again.

We very much enjoyed our visit. A wonderful place - great cakes - friendly service - good for walkers and cyclists especially. We will definitely be going again.

Visited here just before 5pm on a Saturday evening with our 2 year old Grandson. And, although almost empty at this time, we were seated at a table right at the back of the restaurant next to the toilets (probably because we had a small child that might have disturbed other diners!). We ordered food and drinks promptly upon arriving as we did not have long. We felt that it was a very limited menu, with mainly burgers or fish and chips. Having waited for at least 15 minutes, I decided to ask if we could have our drinks, apparently they had been left on the bar and not brought over. We waited a further 20 minutes for our food to arrive. Unfortunately it was not particularly great, and certainly not worth the final bill. I doubt that we will be hurrying back here again soon.

Pub with relaxed service; they serve pub food and when we were there they had live music; rural setting. Not tried the rooms.

Had lunch with a friend .Super ambience and food .We had the sea bass with fennel and lamb moussaka ..both delicious.Fish beautifully cooked .Thank you !

Brilliant night for our work Christmas party! Had so many good comments from my work colleagues about how amazing everything was. Lovely venue, gorgeously decorated, excellent food, friendly staff and great entertainment. It was so well organised - Sarah was extremely helpful & quick to reply to my emails & queries. Cheryl was great and looked after us on the night, making it run smoothly and also joining in the fun. The DJ managed to keep most of us on the dance floor all night with his selection of tunes and getting us into the festive mood. We would definitely recommend this as a party venue and would come back in the future. Thanks again to all the team.
