Brilliant night for our work Christmas party! Had so many good comments from my work colleagues about how amazing everything was. Lovely venue, gorgeously decorated, excellent food, friendly staff and great entertainment. It was so well organised - Sarah was extremely helpful & quick to reply to my emails & queries. Cheryl was great and looked after us on the night, making it run smoothly and also joining in the fun. The DJ managed to keep most of us on the dance floor all night with his selection of tunes and getting us into the festive mood. We would definitely recommend this as a party venue and would come back in the future. Thanks again to all the team.

We had a fantastic evening for our annual Christmas Party at the White Horse, Sarah was fantastic in answering my emails with any concerns or questions I had when booking our party in for the Christmas Casino event. The pub was decorated beautifully with lots of photo opportunity walls & we had a great laugh using the photo booth included. Cheryl and the team on the night were super friendly and good fun, Nothing was too much trouble & everything well organised. The staff on the Casino tables were also good fun, giving us a few cheeky freebies, the whole evening felt like a private party with a relaxed atmosphere & we’re looking forward to booking again next year :) Thanks again Becky

I attending a private function at the White Horse and cannot recommend it enough!! The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my last minute dietary requirement. The food, dairy free, was outstanding. By far the best I have eaten. The service from everyone from bar staff and serving staff to the hostess was fantastic. The venue is beautiful and so practical, with the heated garden pods and blankets. Can’t wait to visit again! Thank you!

Great food. Outside pods are a really nice place to meet friends. Heated and cosy. Food hood but maybe a little expensive. Worth it for a treat but not for a regular place.

Family wedding, first impressions pretty garden/outdoor space, very instagramable floral theme plenty of photo opportunities, but that’s where the good stuff ends. weren’t ready to receive guests, still setting-up, hassle to get served at the bar, more than two staff badgered my son and daughter about under age drinking/ID etc to the point they made us feel so uncomfortable in less than an hour we left, didn’t want to spend another penny with them, would not return and definitely would not recommend, shouldn’t guests be made to feel welcome

We booked our table for friends reunion and we had to wait by the main door to get a sit for 10min, then we been taken to the table and wait for another 10 mins to place our drink order. After 25min our drinks finally arrived and one of the drink split on the table. We have to ask for the tissue as no one from the staff reacted. After 10 min we finally had our tissue and we could order a food. We have ordered our food and after another 30 min 2 of the dishes arrived but still missing side dishes for two of us, and two of us haven’t been served at all. We waited another 10 mins and call one of the waitresses and ask where is food for 2 of us as we all should be starved together. She apologised and said that food should be with us shortly. After 50 min we had our food , chicken roast dinner with some feathers still on the skin of the chicken. At this stage we was still waiting for the sides which has to be reminded to the staff few times. Overall location it’s nice but service and food is very poor … not recommended!

Staff are friendly and polite. The place is clean and tidy very pretty with great relaxed atmosphere. The food was really really good was expecting a pub lunch got so much more than that. The chefs are working hard up there, keep doing what your doing. Came with a friend bringing my mum up next. Very happy visit

A wonderful afternoon spent in one of your pretty pods. I took a friend for her first visit and she loved it. Our welcome from the manager was very warm and friendly. Our waitress Sharkira was fabulous and so friendly and helpful. Our lunch was great and the presentation lovely. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon we will be back and will recommend to others. We had a lovely evening dinner tonight in one of the pods, the food was excellent and the service was amazing, I highly recommend having a meal at the Whitehorse and a shout out to Amy who was brilliant

We ordered a BBQ picnic brunch for my girlfriends 25th birthday and we was not disappointed. They catered for my girlfriend who does not eat red meat and so replaced this with chicken and vegetarian options. We was served by Tiana and had a choice of where to sit and was a good host. We choose the pod which were really nicely laid out. We had 2 cocktails with our BBQ brunch and this was well worth the price of £35 per person as you can see amount of thought that has gone into it. We would throughly recommend going here for a bite to eat if you are in the area.

Had our wedding reception here on Saturday night and it was absolutely flawless. Cheryl & all the team had everything under control from start to finish, we didn’t have to worry about a thing. The welcome drinks, the canapés, the ‘wedding breakfast’, the set up, the dancefloor, just amazing. Cannot recommend using the White Horse for your wedding venue enough!

Lovely venue , terrible food Went to this lovely party venue, very nice function suite. The food was very poor, hot buffet served on tables with no heating elements = cold food. Cheap downmarket pub buffet sausage roll, sausages, sandwiches cheap fillings, all dry and pretty tasteless

We booked a table for 3 some weeks before our visit. Imagine our surprise when we arrive to find that a wedding was taking place and the bar area was the only space available. We felt like gatecrashers. We were given the table next to the ladies toilet and so had the joy of the female guests all traipsing past us. The service was very poor. We were definitely an after thought. Menu was limited although the food was hot. Not a good experience and we won't be repeating it.

I just want to say a massive thank you to Cheryl and her team for an amazing service, team works and food for our daughter wedding. Everything and mean everything was amazing and all our family and guests were very impressed with venue, food, drinks and service. We can’t recommend this venue enough. Thank you so much. PS. Visited during the eat out to help out scheme, we were seated quickly and food and drink orders were taken quickly which was great. Drinks took a while to come as well as the food. It was very busy so I understand but it was slightly frustrating. Emma, Harry and Ella all working very hard. Wasn’t made aware that there is gummies in the brownie and sent it back. Should put that on the menu.

Booked a hut outside. Arrived and seated quickly. It’s very covid secure. Table was cleaned before we were seated. Tables set out socially distanced etc. After being sat for 15 minutes still no drinks order. Noticed a button on the table for service. Once pressed, waitress came quickly to take drinks order. 15 minutes later still no drinks and no food order taken. Managed to get food ordered but still no drinks. Was told when ordering everything on the menu was available. 4 of us placed our order for starters and mains. Finally drinks arrived. However shortly afterwards was told there was no nachos. Starters changed arrived and was very nice. However an hour after ordering and finishing starters and waiting roughly 45 mins for the mains. They come to say no steaks available after ordering well over an hour ago. No ribs either. So resorted to a bowel of chips due to not much choice left on the menu. Wife ordered mushroom and halloumi hot plate. However this came with no Mushroom and no hot plate. We asked for some mushroom to go with the dinner. After 15 mins and my wife almost finishing her dinner the waitress brings the meal she should of had originally instead of just some mushrooms. Also sister in law ordered gammon which Arrived with no pineapple. This again was rectified the same time as the mushroom a good 15 mins after telling the waitress so again dinner almost finished. After hearing such great things about this place, I have to say I was very unimpressed. Communication needs to be better. After speaking with the manager she did sort out the bill in the end. She was absolutely fantastic. She is a credit to the place. The food we did have was really nice just a shame about the rest. I would Still like to try this place again purely because Of the manager. Maybe we will get what we ordered.

Waited 30 mins - no service. Not even invited to order drinks. No ale available - draft or bottled - in this pub. Imagine! Drinks took 15 mins further to arrive. Little interest in most staff as to how well meal was progressing.To be fair to 'manager' - she apologised with round of drinks on the house.I understand how challenging things are for pubs / restaurants at this time - hence 'average' rating rather than 'poor'- but surely they can do better?

We had a really great experience with superb service, organisation and lovely food. For anyone concerned about eating out in these strange times, you will have no worries here. Everything has been carefully thought out from the on table call button, to the carefully wrapped cutlery. Everything is explained on arrival and service throughout was exemplary. On top of all this and probably most importantly, the food was delicious. Have already decided we'll be going back very soon, hopefully when the weather is better and we can sit in one of the amazing pods in the garden.

Last night we went out for a family meal at The White Horse. We sat in one of their new pods which was all lit up and freshly cleaned. The food was amazing and so were the staff led by Cheryl. They couldn't do enough for you. We went on a Wednesday so it was during the eat out to help out scheme so the bill was ridiculously cheap. Thanks BoJo We have booked again for two weeks time. But even when the scheme is over, this is our new local. We will spreed the word. 5stars guys

Over the years we have visited this pub many times but he current set up with some covered tables in the gardens is excellent and the call system for drinks and food works really well. I have a gluten allergy so I need gluten free options and there were plenty on the menu. I enjoyed the gluten free fish and chips. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we will of course be back.

We visited this lovely pub on our only day off just to have a cold beer. called ahead to ask if they accept dogs and was greeted by Cheryl the manager who confirmed. We arrived and she remembered me from the phone call, said that unfortunately all tables are booked but that we could sit at the table as it was reserved for 6pm. We had two doom bars, no bubbling (good clean line ;) and tasted very clean. Nice colour to it too. The garden is phenomenal and I’m glad they spent the money to re do it. Tables were beautiful with fancy buzzers for waiters (prevents people walking to servers and saves lots of time) and tables also had fairy lights within their plexi glass which would be wonderful for evening. The whole garden looks fit for a wedding(which I’m sure was also part of the refurb) Beautiful swing and clean lovely bar area as well as outside playground. We ordered only garlic bread and chips. Although standard as you can expect we had an absolutely lovely time. Cheryl Manager is lovely and so are the waitresses - just keep smiling girls ;) Thank you for welcoming us in. We then went for a nice little walk around the field with my dog and returned to what started to look like a very busy country pub! I wish you all the best and we will be returning!

So disappointed with this place, staff are so rude its uncomfortable. When we arrived we were met by a girl at the door, she asked if wed booked which we had, she then stared at us uncomfortably and said she couldnt find our booking, she then suggested putting us on a broken looking bench outside, given the fact my mum is clearly disabled we told her this would not be suitable. Instead of catering for us she stared at us rudely as if we were not welcome and said she didnt know what else to suggest. Given the fact we had actually booked we were made to feel as though we had just turned up to a party uninvited . Eventually seated inside and service was awful, felt like we were a nuissance, also the girl who was rude as we came in then stared at us for the remainder of our meal. Food was not good either. Wont be returning.

Beautiful 3 course meal served by the outstanding waitress Jess. Who served the food and drinks with epic performance and brilliant charisma. Can't wait for my next endeavour at the white horse!

Booked a table for lunch, asked for a lemon or orange Gordon’s gin (as had previously seen on fb page despite no drinks menu) along with either a low calorie lemonade or tonic as mixer but ended up with waiter bringing both over, which distracted me from realising the gin wasn’t a flavoured one until after he’d left & meals were brought to table. Mentioned it later so could be deducted from the bill but had to be done again as noticed they’d only removed gin and not mixer from it. After leaving, my partner noticed we’d been charged for his drink that was advertised on menu as being included with his lunch main, so contacted pub via fb messenger to be told Cheryl would look into it for me. Still haven’t heard anything weeks later, despite also sending them a copy of my receipt & numerous prompts via messenger since. It was reasonably quiet when we attended, venue & food nice enough, but they’re clearly not bothered about over-charging customers or getting back to them when queried on it, so won’t be returning obviously.

This was our first family meal outing since March, so we were quite anxious (especially as two of the group were 86 years old). Upon arrival we were greeted by a cheerful staff member, wearing a visor, and led to the well spaced out Dining area. The table was fitted with a device to call for a staff member or ask for the bill, just by pressing a button. The area was very clean and the cutlery and condiments were wrapped to keep them from being inadvertently contaminated. The food was great - very tasty and freshly cooked. The portions were a good size and the service was faultless. We will definitely return there very soon.

In these difficult times it is great to find a venue that you can feel comfortable in and they have got it spot on. The pods are perfect to book with a call buzzer service, cutlery was all wrapped and toilets easily accessed, they have nailed it. Food was lovely and all the servers were great but especially our waitress Ella who was really friendly and attentive. Well done.

My family and I went for lunch around 3pm on a busy sunny Saturday. The pub garden was very busy. Appropriate Covid distancing restriction in place. The menu was small but we still had a range to choose from and struggled just because it all sounded so tasty. And it was. The restaurant was busy so there was a slight wait however service was attentive and there is a lovely view over the fields with the odd plane coming into land at the airport. Friendly staff, lovely food and nice wines. Only criticism I would have is the poor selection of real ales on offer with only Shipyard IPA offered to us on draught. Would go again any day of the week. Looked like a really lovely venue for a wedding.

I had a lovely meal at The White Horse tonight everything was up to a great standard and i loved the look of the outdoor area very modern. i’d personally like to thank Ella who welcomed us and was very efficient throughout our meal and i would definitely recommend and i will be returning!!

Booked a table of 6 for a family lunch and it was brilliant. Staff were friendly & efficient and everything felt very safe. Paper menus and cling film wrapped cutlery. Menu was extensive with lots of choice at competitive prices. Everyone enjoyed their lunch and we all had food envy of each other and other dishes. Cheryaline was our waitress and she was amazing. Will definitely be going back particularly to try one of your beautiful pods. Thank you so much.

Would like to say a thank you to Bonnie and all the staff for a great service we had a pod and it was beautiful and all our meals were lovely.First time eating out since lockdown and felt very safe. Will definitely recommended and looking forward to coming back again.

Lovely food, really enjoyed the halloumi fries and the nachos! Great service also, just want to mention Harry. Very quick service and a lovely young lad. 10/10 recommend and will definitely be going back for a second visit.
