Pasha fish bar and kebab house in North Hertfordshire

Ordered here for years and spent hundreds of pounds. Sat down for a family dinner. Rather small salad, aveeage meat and no chips and then they take over 1 hour to replace. Terrible service

Really disappointed. Tried to rip me off by overcharging for one. Food was below average and the large haddock was a very small one with a funny smell. Sorry will not be coming back

Great fish and chip shops, as well as kebabs drinks, are very reasonable priced home delivery locally.

Only because of the pricing. Staff are cool. When they say small chips. They mean small chips haha. I've stopped buying food from fish and chip shops now days because most are too expensive. Most of them are cash only so that show the avoid tax as much as possible which indont blame them but atleast charge cheaper. Its worth going if you have the money. Now days £10 an hour in work gets you £8 after tax and £7.58 after National Insurance. Fish and chips £12 haha thats almost 2 hours of working for fish and chips. 😄 🤣 😂 mental world we live in. Not blaming the staff as they are just doing their job. Mainly blaming the management for high (competitive) prices. Great guys. Worth eating there if you can afford it.

Online order for 2 kebabs came with 2 different sauces and 2 different salads all piled together in 1 box! When telephoned told it wa an order for 1 person!!!! Money wasted!!!! They couldn't care less! Won't be using again!

Just orderdered and again got a wrong order, phoned up to explain very unhelpful. Asked for x2 portions got the order as one. We have been regular customers now for over 3years. I shall not recommend them nor will I order from them in future.

They should close this local, food don't have any quality, kebab teast like shi... and chips was 80% oil

They probably use ready to cook fish. Chips were not fresh. Kebabs were tasteless. Garlic sauce is not home made (which is unusual for a kebab shop). Chilli sauce is home made but didn’t taste good. Never go back again.

Very dissapointed tonight unfortunately! The food is always good But the portion control with the chips might aswell have been a small portion instead of a regular! ...... ive always got alot more chips with regular but not this time! And i bought regular to share for 2 people. Bad enough that the cost of the regular chips is almost £3. Real let down tonight. Such a shame as its always been our go to place!.......

Nope!! Greasy dirty floors, poor communication with customers. Felt pressured and rushed. Extractor hood needs cleaning, the smell of dirty oil and grease as soon as you enter. I left and my clothes and hair absolutely stunk. I had a donner meat, chips and salad. Presentation and quality of meat was below average. Chips were soggy with grease (fried at a temperature too low). I won't be visiting here again. Salad was nice though...hence the 1 star🌟

Great value you get loads of chips the fish is not the best but it's very cheap compared to other shops

Fish I had recently was small had 2 pieces to make 1 reasonable size. I wasn't aware until I got it home. The fish was mushy and grey. Very off putting. Now changed to a different take away.

Ordered mix kebab and chips. Chips were really tasty, kebab was superb. Chicken nicely burnt but still moist doner meat really tasty. Salad was nice and fresh. Chilli sauce was a bit bland. Shop looked nice and clean and service was fast and friendly. Will defo be back when next in the area.

66 years on earth has led me to many fish and chip suppers... this one was the best i have ever had, light crispy batter, beautiful fresh perfectly cooked boneless & skinless flaky white fish, the chips were ungreasy and the portion was huge, but these chips were wonderful. I had it delivered and it arrived 10 mins after the order.. can't wait to do it again...... real soon.

Ordered online. When delivered it was wrong. No sauce or salad. They are refusing to send correct food. Do not use!! They won't fix the issue.

Haven't had anything from here for a few years but I remember the burger was nice. Had a cheese burger which was lush, chicken fillet burger & chips for my son. The chips were lovely. Defo will go back

Thought I would try Pasha for a kebab as other one's locally had such bad reviews! Meat pulled out of tin dripping in grease, tried to rescue pitta after 30 seconds but was soaked with grease and fell apart. Possibly the most disgusting Kebab i have ever eaten, good luck if that's your best in area I will not waste money there again 🤢

We heard great things about this establishment. Unfortunately, it was such a disappointment. The 'large' haddock was a joke. It was so small. Cold chips. I asked for mushy peas, and got curry sauce.

Ordered a large Donna kabab came small and cold also ordered a large double burger meal and got a children’s bland burger instead and soggy chips.

Avoid this place I made a mistake with my order and when I asked to change it the staff were very rude and aggressive I won't be coming back here.

We have visited for a take away twice recently. The premises looked nice and clean and the staff were freindly. The food looked nice and the portions were of a reasonable size. The only downside was the chicken kebab had very little chicken in it. Priced a little on the high side, but still better than a lot of the take-aways in Letchworth.

Had the steamed cat. Below average Got a refund so not so bad. Tried the signature conker and marmite pizza instead,bearable!

Pretty much does what it says on the tin. Food pretty decent for the price. Takes contactless so handy for that.

Fish was disgusting like a piece of grey leather totally inedible don't think it was even cod, called them straight away and was told they would send 3 more pieces of fish out to have with our already cold chips but would be about an hour

The best fish and chips in Letchworth

Just had our first delivery tonight and I have to say it was fantastic. We both had a Chicken shish kebab with a portion of chips (proper chippy chips😋). All of the food was well cooked, tasty, arrived in good time and was red hot too! We will be back for more soon👍

I got some chips and have never eaten something so grim, I returned the next day for a Donner and tbf it was alright, shame the Chinese was shut cause their food is awesome.

brought regular fish and chips at first glance thought they got my order wrong and given me a batter sausage but no is was a ridiculous piece of fish disgusted £6 just for the fish rang them up and the answer was that is the portion size what a load of rubbish had fish and chips before and it has been fine. So angry what a waste of money😤😤😤😤

We used to be regulars of Pasha as their chips used to be the best around - huge potions and really tasty. However with our last 2 visits the chips were just awful. Dry, reheated and dark brown! Come on Pasha sort it out! Your chips were a talking point for good reasons once!

Great chicken shish and doner kebab. Don't buy your chips too early in the evening though. Sometimes it tastes like lunch time chips warmed up.

Worst chips and food I have ever had the chips were disgusting they were reheated probably from dinner time the chicken burger was the same, very greasy and will not be eating from there again.

Terrible food - the saltiest kebab I had ever tried - not edible. And the chips were old and cold! My wife's kebab was also "the worst ever". Nice people - horrendous food!

9rdered takeaway and spent over 50 pounds when it arrived the chips were so full of grease it was unreal when called them to let them know all that said was thank you and put the phone down the last 3 takeaways from them we have had problems with and we thought we would give them another chance but it's no better will not be trying again very soon as it's gone down hill big time

Went her last night for a couple of lamb Kebabs. It wasn't bad at all value for money was good and the meat was cooked well. Only thing was that they place all the salad over the kebab and not inside the pita bread. To be honest most places do this now, I was rather spoilt growing up in Palmers Green North London, we had some of the best Greek and Turkish Kebab houses in London. As I said pretty good over all. ordered a takeaway from here today costing 38 pounds to treat my family when it came I was absolutely disgusted kebabs were tasteless the sausage was raw and as for the chips omg definitely reporting them to food inspector will never ever order from them again when I complained there attitude was report us they couldn't care less

Asked for a bread roll got a burger bun . !!! Partly stale and unbuttered !! . What's all that about ? Chippys I normally go in either have fresh soft rolls or fresh crusty rolls or both !!!! . They didn't speak English .. miserable faces . Very poor quality of food. If your going to run A local chippy at least put some effort into the business and learn to smile at your customers learn to say hello and goodbye. Your customers bring the money through the doors . You should never forget that. The staff who served me looked like they wanted to be somewhere else. Anywhere else. Not the way to run a business. I live very local to this chippy. I love chippy food. I want it to be good, it's not unfortunately. I go to different chippys in the town , all three of them , because there all good to very good . Iam afraid pashas is no where near as good as any of them in my opinion the basics are all missing . A lot more effort needed in all departments . Shame.

Staff always friendly & professional. Really fresh & tasty ingredients. I've got fish & chips & also all variety of kebabs from either the takeaway or had it delivered with no issues. Looking forward to ordering from there soon. Would recomend 👌

Ordered a takeaway for delivery the person on the phone could not understand me. Waited for delivery for an hour but the delivery driver came down our street in half an hour and disappeared come back half an later with the food cold so turned him away. Been ordering from this place for a long while. Really has gone down hill!

We use Pasha pretty much every week, great being able to ring up & order fish & chips & kebab from the same place & have it delivered, maybe we are lucky but it almost seems we have hardly hung up & its arrived lol,

Service was really good but the food was disgusting dry and hard the cat would not even eat the meat.very disappointing do not recommend!

I called in with an order of 4 items.Twenty minutes later and no food I asked what is happening?I was informed that there were no sausages so he had to cook them!When I asked why didn't he put them in when I placed the original I was met with a shrug of the shoulders.35 minutes later I received my meals.Total disgrace with very rude staff avoid this establishment at all times.The food when I did get it was also poor!!

I got there late and ended up with whatever they had left. I got a mountain of chips and one good piece of fish and one slightly dry piece but they didn't charge me for that. Chips were fine for someone as hungry as I was. Might use them in an emergency again. Especially if it's as cheap as this time.

I visited my friend in Letchworth an I tried lamp sish and kofta, it was really delicious. It was the best kebab I have had last days.Thanks all.

Fish wasn't cooked through properly, chips were okay. Staff very unfriendly and hard to understand. I checked scores on the doors and they have 1 out of 5 hygiene rating. Won't be going back

Visited today and travelled from Baldock to collect. We ordered 1 large and 2 small chicken shish kebabs and also 1 large and 1 small chips. The kebabs were great but the chips a real disappointment. Greasy and an awful taste of old oil. I called the shop soon after eating the kebabs to let them know. Unfortunately the gentleman who answered the call offered no apology or any means to compensate us. We won't be going back EVER!

8pm Friday night - we were really hungry so tried chicken shish, kofte and lamb kebabs - and none disappointed. Great meat especially kofte, crisp salad and good relishes. The staff were great, friendly and willing to chat while we waited. Will go back again soon!
