The three of us had one of the cleanest breakfasts I've ever had the pleasure of. Generous portions with hash browns to die for. We had added extras and for the 3 of us including a can of pop each was ÂŁ33 so superb value, I struggled to finish mine. I would highly recommend 9.7/10

Popped in during our Christmas break for a quick warm coffee and sausage roll with my husband and 3yr old. The gentleman running the cafe was so welcoming, laid back and friendly we are so glad we popped in. Coffee was lovely sausage roll was a good’n and the scone was delicious too. We are lucky to still have independently run cafe’s around Ely and I will be supporting this little gem during future visits to the city. Keep doing what you do as you do it so very well and I hope this place survives the corporate takeovers of high streets. We will be back!

The BEST place to eat! Food is delicious. - All dietary needs are catered for and they allow me to request my favourite food dishes. Pat and Claire make an amazingly good team. Home baked desserts too! 5 stars!

Passing through Swaffham Prior returning from a holiday in Norfolk. 2 families - 4 adults, 4 children - we all had a delicious roast lunch which was very tasty and great portion sizes. They were accommodating when we asked for children’s roasts which weren’t specified on the menu. We had 3 dogs with us and they were welcomed too. We sat inside but the beer garden looked lovely! Would definitely recommend.

Lovely old fashioned tearoom with over 30 varieties of tea . Food is excellent and reasonably priced and has daily specials. The menu is simple but the food is better for it. There is also some B&B rooms attached, plus outside seating. Dogs are allowed Overall I would recommend a visit to this little gem of a place.

It’s a nice enough venue, it used to be my local. However the food experience, on this occasion was very poor. Bread and oil, ok- but odd tasting oil. Surely not Olive oil?? But
.. wow, but
.. the fishfinger sandwich. Just awful. So, the bread was so cold, if it wasn’t recently frozen, then why, why do you serve bread at that refrigerated temperature. The filling. One piece of the most horrific, Tesco value battered fish- not even fish fingers. Cut in two, and stuffed inside. One of my half’s of sandwich wasn’t even half covered in fish. See photo. The fish, omg, saturated in fat, and the batter basically hollow, save for a tiny bit of grey fish. See photo. When I complained that I was not willing to pay £8 for it- the server said. “Yeah we get that all the time”. (!!!!!!!). And “yeah there’s not much fish in them” (!!!!!!!) Asked what I wanted to do about it, my options were a refund, or for the chef to cook a second portion of fish to actually fill the sandwich. It arrived, again sopping in grease, and basically hollow and ominously grey inside
again see pics. Onion rings on the side - sopping in grease, I mean, turn the fryers up
Just not good enough- just unacceptable for a village pub, have pride, buy better ingredients, and do better.

Excellent food and service from start to finish. This is very local to us, but still always a treat to go and enjoy. Regular specials in the menu and the coupon that own and run the restaurant are fabulous. Ingredients and standard of cooking is outstanding.

Lovely lunch with the family. Partner and his mum opted for pulled pork and beef brisket (his mum was well impressed with the brisket, her words best meat she's ever had, it just melts in your mouth) I opted for the cluckless wrap which was lovely. My parents both had fish and chips (not on the menu) they had some left from last night. They both said how lovely it was and no skin on the fish.
