This is such an amazing wedding venue and at such a great price too. I cannot stress enough how helpful Kerrie and John were at guiding us on what we wanted for our special day. The food was spectacular and everyone loved it. Their newly renovated barn is lovely and their staff were also great at making this day perfect. The day itself was everything we wanted and more. I'll miss planning my day with them but I can't wait to go back as a normal customer as their menu is superb!

Very average if not quite poor roast dinner, overcooked vegetables, undercooked roast potatoes & very fatty meat. The mac & cheese side/starter was inedible, no word of a lie. Id like to hope this is a one off “bad day” but for £42 in total we won’t be returning. Bonding ask us how our meal was or commented on the untouched starter/side dish. Overall very disappointing considering the other reviews.

We were there for lunch last Saturday 20th April. There were 3 adults and 3 children, aged 2,4 and 6. The children had great fun in the super play area. The Manager very kindly came out to the garden to say our lunch was ready. The food was delicious and there is a great choice on the menu. The staff were extremely attentive and kept asking us if we needed anything. The puddings were delicious! I would highly recommend this pub and it was good value too.

Found this pub on Bank Holiday Monday after passing one that was closed and the other not serving food at all, depsiote the side wall boasting of Mexican Steaks. A tasty menu and being a Monday two for the proce of one for pizzas, so one saved for lunch on the boat the next day. Abbott Ale was in tip top condition too. Staff friendly and helpful. Amazing space behind the pub being a covered area and a lorge garden.

Having had a great veggie roast at Five Bells a few weeks before, we felt confident booking to take daughter & son in law here for a meal. They are happy meat eaters who love their food. They were delighted with the opportunity to sample all 3 roast meats. And they’re now looking forward to their next visit to us - and this great pub. I rarely eat meat. I’m happy I was tempted with the slow cooked brisket. Gorgeous. An ideal atmosphere & great service too. The excellent local reputation is well deserved

After our first visit, my daughter insisted on coming back the following week! Really warm welcome from a chap who remembered us from the previous week and offered us 'your usual table' -- such a nice touch, and very unusual these days, to feel remembered after only one visit. Beautiful interior (we haven't sat outside yet, but we'll get there eventually!). Fabulous and tasty food very much focused on meat with a couple veggie options -- BBQ and all the appropriate trimmings. It's definitely not a menu for anyone trying to eat lightly, so I suppose that's the only thing I would change - not to be 'that guy', but maybe add a couple salad-y options?? Very friendly and quick service. All in all, delightful, and we will be back.

The food is awesome, and the chief “nisha” came out to ask if everything is okay. That’s a first for me.

It was a set menu with a finger dips to start with. Then it was the starts which was a very large plater. (Help your self to what was on there) cool. Lots of it, i may say!! nicely presented..The main meal came which was nicely presented once again, which was full of favour and tasty. Indian..I would recommend you paying the pub a visit. Sorry to say that we found a hair in two of the dinners, one being a childrens meal and all they did was take that bit of food off the plate along with the Yorkshire and heated it up as the plate was boiling when it come back without the yorkshire. The beef that was ordered was so undercooked it couldn't be eaten (although they didn't complain just left it). Did not like the atmosphere at all, didn't feel like a nice cosy space just like an afterthought with tables and chairs you may put up in a hall (my personal opinion). Felt it was very overpriced for what we actually got.

Having booked in advance and not having been advised of any changes we arrived to find that they now have Tuesdays as a themed night and this was Bruchette Evening and a set 2 course menu in operation. The first course was soup of garlic mushrooms (in a soup). The dish was tasty. The main course was roasted meat and vegetables on a skewer served with chips and some salad leaves. The choice was Salmon, Chicken, Beef or halloumi. The Chicken and Salmon had by three of our arty was okay, but the beef although nicely cooked, that is still pink in the middle was quite tough.

The vegetarian in our group chose from the Sunday lunch menu and selected the Vegetable Casserole. It was a similar price to the meat options, so we expected a comparable meal - but it was not. The meat eaters got a well cooked meal that kept them going for the rest of the day. The vegetarian got nothing but vegetables, gravy and a yorkshire pudding. It was a a journey back to the days when vegetarians were offered the same meal as the carnivores - just minus the meat. Came in here for dinner this evening with the family and couldn't of been more impressed! The food was excellent, hats off to the chef! The 2 young waitress's Chloe and Emma were just lovely, couldn't of asked for better service or company! Very impressed with the staff you have working there. Was our first trip and we will certainly be back again!Lorraine

Had a great summer dinner in the garden. Drank some ale, cider, had burgers, and watched local teams play pétanque. Very enjoyable, and well worth the visit. Would be back if it wasn't so far away from where we live currently.

We came here as part of a large party of 12 so we had pre-ordered. The manager and his staff were fantastic and very attentive. I had the hunters chicken and it was beautifully cooked. Everyone was very pleased with their food! They also had a lovely large beer garden with wooden climbing frames for children. We will definitely return!

Het eten was wel goed, maar de pub was heel ongezellig, weinig aandacht voor de gasten en veel te harde muziek.

Excellent Sunday lunch but it would be really good if they would include a fish dish on the Sunday menu because apart from the starter of crab cakes and scampi, there is no other fish on the menu. I know they do a fish night during the week. The chef was very helpful and served Thai Fish Cakes as a main course when requested which were delicious. Thank you for that. Will certainly come again. Friendly atmosphere and very helpful staff.

Visited on a Weds evening for a meal with friends. Wine list had a good selection & was reasonably priced. I had steak and it was really good with fabulous onion rings & fries. Would definitely eat there again. The dining area could do with 'cosying up' a little, making surroundings less basic & more comfortable, but food and service was great. Will be returning with family for the Thursday evening Fish Night shortly and looking forward to it .

About 5 weeks ago now I had pre booked a table for an early Saturday evening meal via the pubs website, upon arrival, the owner had never heard of me and had no record of the booking, however, he made us feel most welcome and arranged a table straight away...... The service was first class, warm, friendly and professional. The food was very good indeed, plenty of choice, well cooked and very tasty. The Aspall Cider on Draft was I must say an added bonus.......... I am just about to make a booking for this Friday evening and look forward to partaking of the hospitality once more.......... steve c.

The pub has had a refurb and is looking much better. The dining area in particular is very smart with attentive and polite waiting and bar staff. My only suggestion of a further improvement would be one less table perhaps in the bar area as it is very crowded and noisey when full. The Sunday roast arrived promptly , there was plenty on the plate and it tasted fresh and delicious. 4 clean plates would suggest it was enjoyed.

Excellent food and service from start to finish. This is very local to us, but still always a treat to go and enjoy. Regular specials in the menu and the coupon that own and run the restaurant are fabulous. Ingredients and standard of cooking is outstanding.

A lovely village pub with friendly and helpful owner. Nice but limited menu Tues to Sat. Sunday lunch menu looks good. Borsch and bread, vegetable risotto nice. Good beers. Highly recommended. An interesting village with two churches and two windmills. Nice walking to Reach and Burwell.

Very unprofessional owner, complaining because we didn’t spend enough money even tho as a table we spent over £120 in a couple of hours, stay away!!

We normally look forward to our Chrstimas meal at the Three Blackbirds, but this was disappinting this year. In future we would either choose to go for a mid-week meal or eat much later on a Sunday. We appreciate that being extremely busy is good for business, it does not always translate into a 5 star dining experience for everyone.
