Wow Wow Wow their food is insane!! We had the roast sharing platters for £24pp and they were so worth the money! It wasn’t even just the food it was the service that came with it you feel part of there family being there. It was our first time here and definitely not the last we loved that Ruth and the team took their time to actually talk with us and checked up on us at every point they could. We cannot wait to come back Thankyou so much we left the hub very happy!

Popped in yesterday for lunch & received an extremely warm welcome from the attentive staff. We ordered a homemade pie each. My husband, as always, was rather sceptical about the pie, but we were both pleasantly surprised by the contents. I have never had a pie with so much meat, I actually ended up taking leftovers home for our dog! It was absolutely delicious & worth every penny. Pay them a visit, you won’t be disappointed!

Very poor experience nearly 1hr waiting for food and there was two other people in there. Food come up warm to cold. The sticky tables, VERY OVER PRICED

Came here with friends for a Sunday roast and am so pleased we chose here! The staff were so accommodating … from making sure there was access for our friend with a broken leg, to keeping the kitchen open late for us. Nothing was too much of an ask! The food was also outstanding … never seen four roasts polished off so quickly. Absolutely delicious. What a hidden gem, will definitely be back!

Gorgeous pub that served pull pump bitter and cider. We arrived and was greeted by a young lady that helped with our bags to a courtyard room. The room was great and had a shower with underfloor heating. They arranged a taxi as we went to Chelmsford Races which cost £15 and was 6mins away. Lovely breakfast and we will be back.

Yesterday we enjoyed a lovely family Sunday lunch. We were all given a friendly welcome when we arrived which continued throughout the afternoon. The food was good and was matched by the service. It’s quite easy to see why there were a lot of regulars dining there. Would definitely recommend and hope to return one day soon.

Megan and Leah were really good, so was the chef. Had a good, sensibly priced meal. The menu was quite varied with the specials. Good experience. We come to Chelmsford every 3 months and stay at a Premier Inn. We'll stay at the Boreham one again and eat at the Grange. Thanks

brought my Aunt here for Sunday lunch - we both had the carvery. There were 5 different meats on offer: lamb/beef/turkey/pork and gammon - all looked delicious, and we were given plenty of it. The variety of veg was amazing, and the roast potatoes were to die for! Our drinks waiter Roman was friendly and attentive, without being annoying, and Jane the Chef was also very friendly and helpful. A very pleasant experience that will be repeated.

Popped in for Tea and cake on a lovely day, usually visit about 8 times a year on nice days and weekdays only, Parking is Free, but only about 7 spaces connected to the Tea Room, don't be confused by the field parking next door which is £5 and is not affiliated with the Tea room, register your vehicle number when ordering food, toilets available for Customers, so a Tea and cake and 1 Hour stroll along the river, always good service here,we have seen some demanding members of the public getting mixed up and thinking its all one thing then getting it all wrong and throwing toys out of their prams when they are clearly wrong but can't see it, So you can park free for limited time, pay for food and drinks and use the garden seating (or inside) and use their toilet facilitys, can't say fairer than that and if you want a cheap lunch go to Tesco for a meal deal at £3.50
