This restaurant was over priced the food was so bland nothing about it was portuguese, the way they add vat and service charge is very misleading the vat should be included in the price of the food. When you look at a menu it should have the total price of the meal as you think the meal is a price then when you get the bill they have added on another £20 for vat and service charge. I will never recommend this restaurant the staff were miserable

We’ve visited The Punch Bowl many times, as it’s just 10 minutes away from us, and it’s always been a nice pub in the past. Unfortunately, something has changed, and it’s not for the better. Upon arrival, we were met with stares from the locals, almost as if we were being judged on whether we were ‘worthy’ of being there. Despite having made a reservation, we were seated at a cramped table in the corner, right by the serving door, which was kicked open into my chair. The table had originally been set for three, but it was hard to see how it would’ve worked comfortably for any diner being so close to the door. There were other tables available, including one with just young children at it, so it felt unnecessary to place us where we were. The food was okay, but it no longer felt like good value for the price. Additionally, we were charged for a drink we didn’t order, though it was promptly removed when we pointed it out. All in all, this community pub no longer lives up to what it once was.

The best fish Shop in the area for sure, lovely service and atmosphere is amazing. Very friendly staff, love it.

Firstly, I'm truly sorry to see you go. The East Coast has been the go to venue when we visit the area for some years. Many a family meal had been had here. Always excellent food, service and great value for money. It is a place I would (and have) recommend without any hesitation. I wish you every success for you and your team for the future. Great service. Friendly staff. Other guests were very noisy. Couldn’t hear yourself speak. Value for money yes, but there were a few things that need ironing out. The bread for the sandwiches was far too thick. They should be thinner, dainty. Filling very nice and just the right amount. The tiny quiches were a disappointment. Lemon Posset far too sweet. I have done this before but with whipped double cream to a billowy cloud consistency but not as sweet. Brownies, absolutely delicious. Very fudgy and moorish. Strawberry very nice size and sweet and juicy. I have dipped my strawberries before in 70% dark chocolate. Beautiful sultana scones. Were they made on the premises? Can’t tell. They were big and soft. Would have been better smaller scones. The jam was far too sweet I felt it on my teeth. I was too full to try anything else. Oodles amount of tea very nice. Just a little tip, I think putting sandwiches and the rest of the cakes etc should be all in 3 different plates rather than bringing sandwiches first and then the cakes. Overall a nice afternoon out to a place I had never been before.

Excellent Sunday lunch. Meat and vegetables first class. Yorkshire pudding not brilliant today - a little dry - but has been good on previous visits - so probably a blip. Cauliflower cheese , beef, roast potatoes and swede mash first class.

I ordered for 20 people for my husband's 60th and everything was fantastic. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the food was fresh and delicious. Thank you so much.

We went to Tatlers on Saturday evening, we were a group of 6 and what a great experience it was, the atmosphere was perfect, the staff could not have done more to make it a memorable experience and the food was wonderful and all at a very reasonable price. Thanks to all the team, we will spread the word and we will be back.
