A very welcoming experience thanks to the excellent heritage centre guides who knew their stuff and pointed us in the right direction. The Centre is a must visit not just for aged train spotters but for every one. The line has a new future with East West Rail which needs all our support to get locals back on trains. Great coffee and cake made the day.

Lovely little old fashioned English tea room in an old railway station ( Ridgmont) on route from Bletchley to Bedford. By car it is just off M1 Junction 13. Afternoon tea - a delightful experience, for my friend's birthday. Lovely staff, unlimited tea/coffee, beautiful selection of sandwiches, very well presented. Mini cakes were a lovely selection and scones were gorgeous, with them being presented warm. Proper Rodda's clotted cream too 🙂 Themed rooms with decor to suit the period of travelling by steam and having a Ladies waiting room. Excellent value for money. Recommend to book online, no deposit required. Then have a look around the station - amazing place and very enthusiastic volunteers.

Having had many a cooked breakfast out - the full english at The Ridgmont Station Tearoom was one of the tastiest I’ve had in a long while. The eggs cooked to how your Nan would cook them - crispy brown edges, soft in the centre - delicious. No greasy spoon at the Ridgmont!! The service was faultless too, very friendly and attentive staff. A whistle stop for us but would definitely visit again if we lived local.

As you can see from the title the Tea Room and Heritage Centre is located at Ridgmont Railway station which you can see from the M1 just south of Junction 13.It is also just off the A507 close to the colossal Amazon warehouse. In spite of all this busyness around it has the look of a quiet country station and a hospitable welcome.Since I last visited they have had a bit of a move around and there a is decent sized seating area inside the station for you to sit and have a drink and a snack. There is also an outdoor area with benches and umbrellas. There is also a stairlift to get in if you have mobility issues. There is a small shop if you want to buy some souvenirs from the museum as well.Everyone I met was very friendly and went out of their way to assist.Well worth checking out if you are in the area but make sure you check the opening times.

First things first, the ladies that manage and serve were absolutely lovely.. so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. The very friendly lady who served us, spoke so kindly and enthusiastically to my daughter, convincing her to have a sandwich.. which they made specially and cut the crusts off (which we didn’t ask for, but meant the lady was psychic too.. as my daughter would never have ate it). They also gave her a sprinkling of Pom bears :) Every piece of food that they served was delicious and everything so thoughtfully presented.. they warmed the scones, and my sandwich came with a side salad and homemade coleslaw. It’s such a unique location, and the countryside around is very pretty. Don’t hesitate to visit.. you really won’t regret it. Thank you so much x x x

Had heard good reports about this venue so made a special journey (as it's tucked away and not all that easy to find) to visit. Didn't book as this is only advised for weekends, but did check on the website before starting out - showed as open. Arrived to find the place closed! Wasted journey ......and therefore not inclined to potentially waste any more time there in future. If you have a website and decide to close your establishment - for whatever reason - during times you would normally be open please be considerate enough of your potential customers to put a note on the website. Obviously unable to realistically comment on food or value (though the pictures and other reviews suggest they are good) but consideration for customers clearly not great.

Apart from delicious looking afternoon teas/cakes etc. some main meals were available, tho' understandably a limited choice as it is a very small business. The lunch, Stilton and Cranberry pie (though I was tempted with the corned beef) was superb home cooking, piping hot, which was all the more welcoming on an awful cold and wet winter day. Scones are everywhere but good scones are very hard to find, so this is a rare and lovely place to find them. It's a great pity that there are no signs to alert travellers to its existence, considering that in many counties even small campsites get a brown sign, let alone pubs and tea rooms: it makes a lovely and convenient stop at Jct.13 on the M1 - but only if you already know about it. My first visit of hopefully many more now I've been introduced to such a lovely little tea room locally. We had the Christmas afternoon tea which made a wonderful start to the festivities. The table looked really pretty and the sandwiches were fresh and delicious,...

What a way to kick off our Xmas! We came here as a part of our girls festive gathering and had a fantastic afternoon. The ladies who work here are attentive, welcoming and very friendly. The decor of the tea room is perfect and all the Xmas decorations make you feel very festive. The afternoon tea itself was just superb, the portions are very generous and the scones are to die for...as was all of it! We were able to bring our own prosecco to add a little fizz to our gathering with no problems at all. Would recommend this little tea room to all. Will be back!

I visited here as part of a 'ladies that lunch' hen party this weekend and although I am local to these tea rooms - this was my first visit.

Well worth the visit. This old village station is turned into a museum/heritage centre but most of all a scrumptious tea room. Décor very pretty, several rooms to eat in & nothing seems too much for the owner. The FOOD is plentiful and scrumptious. Oh by the way, did I say that the food was so tasty & scrumptious!!!? Booking needed.PS If you don't like tea, ask for coffee.

It started well with a good selection on the menu. When we came to order our breakfast sandwiches my friend asked how much it would be to add an egg to her bacon sandwich, at which point the waitress advised that the prices on the menu had increased so weren't correct & could only say they had gone up by about 50p. On asking for a sparkling water she advised that had also gone up by 20p maybe 30p, these increases were due to the cost of living increase. When we questioned why the menus hadn't been updated she advised there were new owners & it hadn't been done yet but that there was a sign on the wall inside the shop advising of the price increase, we were sat outside but to be honest anyone entering the shop wouldn't have seen it as it would have been behind them. She then brought out the A4 sign. She also tried to find an updated menu which she couldn't find. Firstly I am sure this must be illegal to advertise one price & charge another & secondly a hand written note could have been added to the menu or a copy of the price increase attached to the menu which everyone would have seen. Maybe the new owners should hold fire on the price increase until new menus are available as it may save their reputation. The breakfast sandwiches were very tasty, however the 'glass' that accompanied the sparkling water was in fact a jar with a thread for a screw top. Some might call it funky but not to everyone's taste. Needless to say it wasn't used. There are standards which have to be met & the clear advertising of correct pricing is one of them. We are all effected by the cost of living crisis & on occasions when we do our bit to support local businesses we might be watching the pennies too.
