Good hearty breakfast was exactly what we needed on a cold day before work. Will be retuning, staff very attentive

Have been here several times, both for tea and cakes and for a meal. Very good menu and service excellent. Sometimes it was so busy we could not get a table, but proves it is popular.

Decided to try because it was dog friendly. Food average and prices reasonably however I wouldn’t come again. Dog enjoyed her sausages.

This is the best café, the owner Rachel is a lovely host and the service is second to none. Wouldn't eat anywhere else. 5*

A friend and I decided to try this cafe at the weekend and although when the food came in was nice, the hours wait was too much. You need to manage your customers expectations upon arrival. Had I known I would have to wait an hour for food, I would have gone elsewhere as I was already starving. After an hour I complained about the wait where I was told ours was the next one out. 10 mins later it arrived with a hollow apology that they were a hand down in the kitchen. We went for breakfast but didn't get our fry ups until lunch. Very disappointing experience and unfortunatly wouldn't return.

I was so disappointed. My partner and I came here for a breakfast and it was not what we expected. I’m still quite shocked at there’s some really good reviews, maybe we came here on a bad day but it was awful. We waited bang on an hour for a fry up, we were so shocked, everything was tough and chewy too. Could hear a lot of people moaning about the food and wait times at their tables. I’ve never waited so long for food before, especially a fry up. Such a shame but won’t be retuning.

"Our food is cooked from fresh and made to order...". No chicken fajitas available. Interesting. How do you run out of chicken?

Really friendly helpful staff really welcoming - we spent 2 days in the area and ate here for both mornings - would definitely recommend something on the menu for everyone

I’m not one for writing reviews but after experiencing so many terrible Eggs Benedict breakfasts over the last few months, when I finally get a decent one, I should really take a few minutes to show my appreciation. The muffin was toasted to perfection, they used proper ham, the eggs were poached to perfection and the hollandaise sauce was delicious. Thank you. We will definitely to going back…soon! Oh, and the lady who owns it was lovely.

As a motorcyclist I get to eat a lot of breakfasts as most rides end with a stop for food and exploring. I found the Lemon Tree Cafe Wymondham by chance and ordered the full English breakfast and a coffee. the staff were polite and attentive and helpful, and the service was good and timely. the cafe was busy but was clean and everyone knew what they were doing which is nice. the breakfast was delicious with everything well cooked and presented, the sausages were delicious butchers chipolatas and the egg free range and poached to perfection. The coffee was also delicious. a great breakfast and a lovely experience. Full marks to all at the cafe.

Must modernize flavor profiles of food. The onion, bacon tart was flavorless, salad with balsamic dressing = simple but refreshing. Mix-mash of everything in probably a 16thC building but no excuse for a lightbulb being out. Has potential but suggest some creativity with the menu as it’s uninspiring. No where near maximizing the opportunity of location, menu, environment, etc. Needs serious rejuvenation.

We were greeted with smiles and a warm welcome on a very wet day. Soon we were seated and received prompt service from the waitress asking us if we were ready to place our order. Our drinks arrived very quickly and our freshly prepared food soon followed. The menu has plenty of choice at reasonable prices, the portions are of adequate size. The Lemon Tree staff are all very pleasant and make any visit enjoyable. The property is full of character. The only down side to this venue is the size, this means that sometimes you may have to wait for a table. Personally I would recommend booking in advance to eliminate the possibility of disappointment. Well done Lemon Tree, we will return…soon 😊

Popped in for Sunday brunch. Friendly staff and delicious food. We ordered the Lemontree breakfast and Cowboy Beans. Real home cooked food with fresh ingredients. The Cowboy Beans were particular delicious.

Since when does a Full English have roast potatoes? I know that poached eggs have vinegar added to the water but not so much that it flavours the yolk! I don't find it "charming" that none of the cups matched the saucers, or that the bacon appeared to have been mistaken for the leather strap used for sharpening blades in the kitchen. In all, I really do wish that the Station Bistro had been open.

This place has excellent character, is very clean and has a high standard of well being. I would definitely visit here regularly due to its pleasant atmosphere and recommend it highly.

We have stopped here for lunch twice recently. Both times I've had the Lemon Tree Madame. It's a posh croque sandwich using the freshest, tastiest soda bread, fresh gammon, cheese and mustard. It's a bit naughty with lots if butter but they serve it with salad! Drinks are always really good and its service with a smile. Highly recommended!

Stopped off for some lunch last Saturday on my way home from church. I decided to have sausage, egg and chips as I was quite hungry and as ever, the Lemon Tree served up a perfect meal.The food was hot and the eggs were poached to perfection and served by a very friendly waitress, who couldn't do any more to ensure that I was happy.Overall, I was very happy and will continue to be a regular at this lovely little cafe.

Nice cafe, lovely lady served us, but I am still trying to work out how a black coffee, a cappuccino, and two rounds of beans on toast twice came to over £15. I am not local, was just passing through, and there is no email address on the website. If it isnt a mistake then it is far too much to pay, maybe we wont pass through again!

Have eaten here before but each visit not as good as the previous. Had bacon sandwich which was sort of ok. Cheap brown sauce in a cheap squuezy bottle. Salad was sort of ok. Coffee was good...nice and hot. Service was sort of ok. There are now better places that offer a greater choice at a better price in wymondham.

The Lemon Tree was just across the road from our cottage and it was open early so reading the reviews on TA, this was a 'no brainer'. Would have called again but it was 10am opening on the Sunday.Friendly and efficient service, they were really busy but we were well looked after. By coincidence we all had the veggie breakfast, we're not veggies but we do try to be healthy now and again. Really good quality, one of us had the home made beans as opposed to Heinz and I tasted some, they were delicious.If Norwich stay up and we return to Wymondham next season, this is where we'll have breakfast.

You just know that these guys care about what they do. The food is great and service is friendly. It's just so much better food than I was expecting, everthing is just that much nicer than run of the mill.

Well we will definitely be back. We visited on a Sunday morning and were delighted that we could bring our dog in. We had 1 full English and 1 egg Benedict. Both of our breakfasts were amazing and we are dedicated breakfast finders so this is high praise!! All the staff we encountered were so polite and helpful. Cannot recommend enough :)

We arrived early for the Morris dancers, so we walked around Wymondham looking for somewhere to have a coffee, can across this little cafe, lovely little place, part new and part from times gone bye.Only had a coffee, but the food ( breakfasts) look well good.

The best full English I've had since Gary Willmots wedding. Seriously, it was textbook. Very high quality ingredients including delicious home made baked beans. If like me you hate the Heinz variety, try these. Service efficient and friendly.

I think this was the only place open for breakfast on a Sunday morning. I did feel it was over priced although there was nothing wrong with the food. A breakfast was over £8 and this didn’t include a drink!

So myself and the ageing neighbour went out again last night and I must admit that I felt the worst for wear this morning. The only solution?? The Lemon Tree. As soon as I walked in the staff knew I needed coffee, badly. A couple of minutes later, seated under the blackboard, the latte duly arrived and about ten minutes later my sausages, egg and chips arrived to save the day. The cafe was busy and the helpful waitress checked on me twice to ask if I was happy with my meal, which I was. I love this little cafe as the food has never let me down, the friendly staff always have a smile and a warm greeting when I arrive which is why I keep returning and will continue to do in the future. It is always worth visiting.

Really disappointing after seeing all the great reviews thought as we had family visiting we would take them for a treat, had to wait nearly an hour for our food, no explanation to why we had to wait so long.then when it did arrive it was not even hot sausage lukewarm and bacon was cold very very disappointed will not be returning

After a long walk in Thetford Forest, called into Wymondham and found this great little place.

We arrived close to closing time and in need of sustenance, help was at hand. Very helpful staff who welcomed us and assured us that we would not be rushed after closing time which we were not. Food was excellent as was service. The Lemon Drizzle cake was to die for. Thanks folks for a great lunch and a very friendly atmosphere.

And again and again and again. The food, atmosphere and friendly staff make this the best café in Wymondham, which is why it is hard to understand the review below complaining. Maybe it was one of those days, when things go wrong. Anyway, we certainly will continue to visit for that scrummy brunch and breakfast and so pleased that they are now open on Sundays.

It's such a treat to get breakfast cooked for you, and now that the Lemon Tree seems to be open on Sundays, it means I can get out of doing it!

We traveled on the Heritage railway from Dereham and decided to have a walk round Wymondham in between trains. We found this lovely Cafe and it was busy, which is always a good sign. The staff were all lovely and really helpful. They found us a seat in the alcove. We ordered coffees and a sausage sandwich and didnt have to wait very long for these to arrive.

Popped in here for a quick cup of tea with a friend. A warm welcome from staff and the tea is served in a tea pot and a lovely cup and saucer! I will be coming here again :)

Called in today after a ride on the Mid Norfolk Railway and a visit to the museum. I chose the chilli on a jacket potato with salad and my husband had the gammon, eggs and chips. Portions were generous and well presented. The chilli had just the right amount of heat in it and the gammon was very tasty. All the staff were friendly and we felt welcome. We would both recommend.

I have an elderly neighbour who likes to have a beer or 12 on a Friday evening and as a result always requires a lifesaving breakfast on Saturday morning. The Lemon Tree comes to the rescue every time. The food is of the highest quality and the coffee superb. The reception from the staff when we arrive, as we are becoming somewhat regulars, is always warm and friendly and the setting is just delightful. I have been there many times now and can honestly say that it has been wonderful every time. Roll on next weekend.

We stopped here for lunch on a very rainy day while visiting Wymondham. It was wonderful luck as it turned out to be a real gem. The staff were really friendly and the menu was really interesting with lots of unusual homemade stuff like cowboy beans. My husband had these and said they were great.

Popped in here for a quick coffee and cake with my husband. The venue is quirky, very old worldy, but very nice and interesting. The coffee was very good but i couldnt say the same for the red velvet cake I had. It was dry, didn't taste at all chocolatey and was covered in watery runny icing sugar glaze rather than butter cream. Red velvet cake is my favourite, but not like that. My husband's cake was lemon drizzle and it was very good. Staff were nice and service was good but the outside toilets were a bit of a surprise and a bit chilly!

3 of us visited early on a Saturday for breakfast. It was fairly quiet, although it did start to get busier, and we were seen to very quickly. The service throughout our visit was excellent!

Popped in for a coffee and found it to be a quaint little cafe, offering a wide variety of food and drink. The Victoria sponge was to die for and the chilli sausage roll had serious “zing” to it. Dog friendly and helpful staff. Well worth a visit.

Wasn't my friends first choice for lunch - but could quite possibly be the next time! Warm welcome, great choice of food. I'm sure there was an all day brunch/breakfast option which meant I could have eggs on toast for lunch - just enough. Their afternoon tea selection looked good. Some tables were reserved when we arrived so they must take bookings. There was a cute little area for two that looked quite cozy. Overall a very pleasant lunch and will go again if in the area.

Me and my partner decided on breakfast here on a bit of a whim and were not dissapointed. The homemade baked beans were scrummy, and the potato pieces where a very yummy nice difference to your usual hash browns. It was a tad cold in here, but then it was a cold morning and it is a lovely old building so is probably to be expected. Will certainly be returning.

A busy Cafe, very popular. Got several welcome licks from a customer's dog. Beverages were fine, price ~ok, food looked okay too. Toilets were below par. Premises seemed quite cold and a bit damp.
