Had a ACE Christmas here, the staff were wonderful and looked after you really well. The manager was very professional and made sure nothing went wrong at Christmas Dinner. She also sorts problems out very quickly. Very professional. The rooms are brilliant with a lovely roll top bath in there, and you sleep like a log to because it's very quiet and peaceful at night.

Popped in yesterday unplanned hoping for a roast, we had 5 mins grace before they stopped serving them so half expected scraps but had been craving it so went ahead anyway. My roast Turkey was scrumptious & I didn’t want it to end 🤣. It was a great size portion but I swerved the cauliflower cheese as I don’t like it. Can not wait to go again next Sunday with a bit more time to spare

When I see a pub has a speciality cuisine in its kitchen, my heart sometimes drops a little, as they can often veer into gimmicky territory. Rest assured, however, that the ramen menu on offer at the Beehive is nothing of the sort. It was exceptional. My pork miso ramen was tantalisingly spicy, flavoursome and filling.

We are locals and go to The Old Bridge when we want something a bit special - today was my birthday so we popped in for lunch in the bar. We both ordered warm sandwiches, but were very disappointed in both. Last time these were served on large baguettes and were full of fillings, today we got small brioche rolls and the turkey was cut so thin I almost missed it, an equally thin slice of dried out stuffing and a bit of cranberry sauce, a tiny tiny portion dried out skinny fries, no basket, and the “salad” was warm and wilted, all edible but I’ve had tastier food in the Olmo Lounge. Two drinks each and the bill was just shy of £60 as they had added a 12.5% service charge, which we were not made aware of. The staff were polite but didn’t do anything special, it’s bar food, I don’t expect a mandatory service charge .We will think twice before returning, I think the cutbacks have started to creep in under the new owners sadly

***** NO WONDER THIS PLACE IS CLOSING DOWN ***** Paid for a taxi to have breakfast only to find they have no chef and no staff and greeted by an unapologetic receptionist. Can’t find this anywhere on their website, met another gentleman standing in the Carpark after also booking a taxi for breakfast. DO NOT BOTHER WITH BEEFEATER AS A WHOLE COMPANY IF THEY HAVE SUCH LITTLE REGARD FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS.

We recently hosted our son’s first birthday at the Duke of Wellington, and they were fantastic! All the staff went above and beyond, especially accommodating our son's severe egg allergy, making the day stress-free and special. The food was good and great value.
