Staff are always lovely but Scarlett went above and beyond to make sure everything met our dietary requirements. Her patience and kindness was very much appreciated! Salad bar area was clean and organised and being refreshed often throughout our visit. Food was cooked to perfection.

Lovely pub with excellent food. My wife ate the breaded mushrooms followed by the haddock and mozzarella fishcakes, while I had the whitebait followed by the haddock and chips, which was very fresh and cooked beautifully. A great place to eat before walking to the beach to see the seals!

We visited the Donkey for Sunday dinner. Both had a fantastic home cooked dinner with tender meat, crispy roast potatoes, very generous portions and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Cannot recommend it highly enough. We will definitely return for more. Thank you 🤩

The Queen's Head in Eye is a fantastic pub that truly offers something for everyone. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Whether you're a fan of darts competitions, live music, or other social events, there's always something happening to keep you entertained. This consistent schedule of activities fosters a sense of community and makes The Queen's Head a true hub for locals and visitors alike. I love this pub. The Moon and Mushroom is a real find. The charming old building has a lovely atmosphere, and the courtyard is great when the weather's nice. Our kids always love to visit, which speaks volumes. Their Sunday roasts are excellent – really tasty and satisfying. They also do a decent coffee, which is always appreciated. The staff are consistently friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. It's also worth checking out their events throughout the year. We've enjoyed the dog show and the Christmas carol singing, as well as several of their murder mystery evenings – it adds a real community feel. If you're after a relaxed, family and dog-friendly pub with good food and a welcoming vibe, the Moon and Mushroom is definitely worth a visit.

We've used this pub as a ramble lunch stop a few times, as well as this one. Staff helpful when I made the booking - and on our arrival, nearly an hour early! This was because we'd come by train to Potters Bar, intending to go on to Brookmans Park by rail replacement bus. However the bus was delayed so we decided to start the walk at Potters Bar instead - meaning a shorter morning walk. Very well looked after by the friendly staff and we all enjoyed the delicious food.
