Harvester Croxley Green in Three Rivers

Booked a few days ago to come to Harvester for breakfast for my husband's birthday which is tomorrow (2nd January). Received an email this morning (1st January) to remind me of my booking, not an hour later they have cancelled my booking without explanation. Called to ask why and was told they 'don't do breakfast on a Thursday'. Fair enough, but WHY did the system allow me to book it? Also was told that someone had tried to call me - no missed calls on my phone or voicemail messages. Not impressed

I'm not a fan of chain restaurants. But the kids desperately wanted to visit so they could use the sparking drinks dispenser and self serve salad bar. For kids, this is an exciting place to eat. For adults, it's loud, bustling and I'm dubious about the safety of the salad bar; wondering if anyone has sneezed, coughed or handled the servers with dirty hands. If hou can handle that, you'll be fine.

Lovely family meal last night at Croxley harvester. Service was great, food good quality. Tanya our server was really friendly and great at her job, best service I've experienced from a waitress in a long time, and it really does make a difference.

Serves a nice Christmas dinner at this time of year.

Usually a great fan of a harvester, my last experience was breakfast. It took ages to arrive, we had to chase, and when it arrived it was cold. The coffee arrived promptly but we had finished it before the meal arrived. As an aside, the table wobbled and we were unable to steady it. Surprised there is no option to give stars for cleanliness. On this occasion 2 stars.

We had breakfast at the harvester with Santa. My daughter loved having breakfast with Santa. The warm fire and hearty breakfast was really nice. The service was great. Highly recommend breakfast with Santa for younger kids it’s definitely a nice experience for them.

The service was amazingly good but the food for vegans and vegetarians was extremely poor. In theory it sounded good and looked OK but there was zero taste. Harvester really need to up their game by a lot to keep up with other restaurants.

Always a good time. If you are lucky enough to get Tanya as your waitress, she is great!

Always good for families. The staff are great at this Harvester and the kids love the salad bar.

don't bother ordering from here. you never get what you order. I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time they forgot several items. This time they have lost me as a customer.

Rude delivery man. Cold food that was delivered really late and the restaurant never bother sending our salads at all. Terrible experience

Warm friendly service, good food and clean and comfortable. Stacey our waitress was wonderful today. Charming patient and organised. She made our family lunch a really relaxing experience with tasty food and supported my elderly parents with their food choices and being patient with their deafness. Tanya our server was easy to talk to, really friendly even though she was rushed off her feet. There were like 5 birthdays all in our section and it was one after another which made everyone laugh. It was also my mums birthday but she didn’t want to be sung too but I really wanted to see everyone’s faces if we said it was her birthday too! Tanya is a great waitress, very hard working and someone you want to keep a hold off. Thank you

Food is average. And it’s not hot enough when it’s served. But their signature chicken is good. Steak with flat bread is a no go.

Harvester remains in a long term decline against other dining options. Staff can be courteous but it’s not really warm and nor are other ethnic backgrounds really welcomed - it’s an undertone that is clear. We were overcharged for items we did not ask for and came with elderly friends. We were told we could not order our food from the app as they don’t receive the service charge so do not want to process that way. Instead we waited ages to place an order, and ages again for desert and ages again to pay. About two hours in total. We paid the bill (and the service charge) but frankly do not expect to return to a this harvester for the next 10 years or so, go somewhere else and spend your money that deserves it !

I booked for my daughters 7th birthday on the 1st October for 25 people. the service was excellent we had a fantastic waitress. she was very patient with us they made my daughters birthday go smoothly food was delicious I couldn't praise them enough. excellent place to eat

There is a problem with the ordering system. It either makes the ticket hard to read or the staff are incapable of reading from a list. Everytime I order, saomething is missing. I won't be ordering again. They shouldn't offer takeaway if they can't get attentive staff that can read a ticket and pack the right items. Avoid. This branch is always getting something wrong.

Tanya was our server and she was very kind and very helpful and a great asset to the harvester and we were loving the new menu!!

In a bit of a rush tonight, but Tanya was quick and polite and efficient. Food was decent and loads at reasonable price.

Came with parents for brunch, staff were polite and helpful, food was hot when served! Menu has changed but still alot of options!

We come to the Harvester at Croxley Green each week and we always ensure that we are served by Tanya. She is very efficient, extremely friendly and an excellent waitress. She works hard and always gives us her full attention when serving us. We think she should be Employee of the Year!

Don’t spend £30 they won’t give you the free corn bread that is promised misleading to get you to spend more

food not well prepared, peas undercooked, chicken not well done and little fries. very disappointing

Haven’t visited a harvester in years after a few bad experiences at another branch but decided to give it a go and we’re glad we did! We were served by Tanya and she has completely changed our opinion. Nothing was too much trouble and we trlt felt very welcomed. Great experience

We enjoyed a pleasant lunch while briefly visiting Watford. I had fish and chips, the fish was very nice and a good-sized portion, nicely presented and tasty. The chips were a bit insipid for my taste, I like them a bit crispier than they were. It was a Monday afternoon, so I did not expect the atmosphere to be dynamic, but it was pleasant, with a reasonable number of diners but still plenty of space to find a quiet spot away from others.

Always a great experience food, staff and atmosphere. The food is always hot and fresh, not had anything to complain about, the salad area is well stocked when we have been there. great relaxed family restaurant who employ lovely staff!

I would say everything here is average. Sometimes terrible and sometimes ok. The place is across the road so we have eaten here countless times.

Such fantastic service by Rachel, I was working away from home and nothing was too much trouble for her. Organising my main (I over ordered!) To be put in a takeaway container. I wasn't rushed, which was so nice (most restaurants have time constraints) considering the nice vibe and great food. Thank you Rachel for your fabulous hospitality, you are a star and made my day.

Bar and serving staff are helpful and friendly . Dud to location it seems quite difficult to get a table if you arrive after 7pm and has busy after work atmosphere. Car park although big fills quickly after 6pm Good range of beers and lagers .

We went to Croxley green harvester for a joint birthday celebration for my uncle and husband, the food was lovely, the salad bar was fresh and topped up, we were served by Tanya and she was fabulous, very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We didn’t need to ask for anything she had thought of it. Very refreshing meal out because of this. Will definitely be back. Xx

can’t fault the service - very quick & efficient - waitress was great, unfortunately salad bar was a little worse for wear and chicken burger & onion rings were slightly over cooked, however my grandaughter had the halloumi and said it was better than her mum’s 😁

What a fabulous experience we received today from Serena. Upon entering we were greeted with a wide smile and was seated promptly. The menu and options were explained and we were left for a few minutes to choose. Food was delivered promptly and steaming hot. Serena consistently checked we were ok and kept our drinks full at all times. For this we will definitely be returning and hope we get served by Serena again. even if it’s a pat on the back I feel Serena deserves praise for her service as she is an assist to your team.

Often go to this Harvester as I enjoy the food and think it is fairly good value. Love that you get a free salad bowl provided you order a main meal too :). The staff are all friendly and special shout out to my favourite waitress Stacie who works extra hard, is always smiling and finds time to have a quick chat every time I visit and she's on shift. She makes my meal out extra special! Thank you to the manager Patrick also, who was very kind to me and stayed later in the evenings so I didn't have to rush my meals :)

Myself and my mate went here for lunch..Always a nice chilled atmosphere and the staff are friendly and attentive..Thanks to Stacey and Phil we were served straight away and had a nice meal and a few refreshing soft drinks..This and The Windmill in Bushey are my go to Harvester restaurants..
