Couldn’t fault it really. Large portions served with a wild enthusiasm! Attentive and helpful staff. Food was tasty if basic fayre, but exactly what we wanted.

A birthday lunch for 6. All enjoyed an excellent lunch. Large helpingh well cooked and nicely presented. Tikka curry was excellent. Great sticky toffee pudding. The young waiter did a good job looking after us all. Doggy bags available if there is too much.nt

19 family and friends celebrated a birthday meal Friday night which was excellent food was amazing all brought out together and lovely and hot We were looked after very well by Vicky and her staff everyone in our party enjoyed the food and evening very much we will definitely return

We’ve just had the loveliest Sunday lunch here for Mothers Day. As always, the yummiest food and perfect for our family - but today our Roast was even more special. Big portions and the loveliest staff. Thank you also for the plant for us Mums to take home! So kind.

We had sunday roast, it was by far one of the best roasts we've had in such a long time. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Great place to go to. Friendly welcome, food great, beer good and served well. Ideal in summer to watch the world go by with seating outside front and rear, equally nice in winter with the fire lit and with sometimes good music by local musicians.

Not taking walk in orders for food. We wanted a pub lunch. Sat in there for ten mins looking at menu to be told no walk in orders being taken. Huge shame. Maybe say that as we asked for a table. Or a sign outside

Sunday dinner, nut roast. Quality quite nice, Portions terrible. One slice of Carrot, One slice of parsnip One piece of cauliflower, two small pieces of broccoli, Tiny dollop of swede and potato mash Nut roast/roast potatoes/Yorkshire puddings good portions. Mentioned it to the young bloke that served me and he laughed and walked away Really ????

Visited The White Hart for a couple of drinks including real ale for me. They had three on offer, which he let me try them all unfortunately none was to my liking but for the short time we were there, all staff and locals were very friendly and the Pub looked very nice. I would pop in again to see if there was a real ale to my liking another time.

Popped in for lunch. Great Ham eggs and chips with huge salad and a lovely Steak and ale pie with veg and chips( can have mash ) the gravy was a bit strange for me, Real Ale gravy sounds yummy but tasted too much of cinnamon or similar. Would go again.

Avoid the 'Homemade Lasagne'. Had to send ours back as it had been microwaved to an inch of its' life. Should never have left the kitchen. Overall the pub and its' meals are generally ok to average but the feeling here is that most of the staff would rather be somewhere else. Me too.

A firm favourite for us . Coming to Halesworth and to this pub 3 to 4 times a year for past 30years . Dog friendly, welcoming and a reasonably priced pint. Menu has been updated....not sure if they have a new Spanish chef , but it was delicious and well presented. Plus the kids menu for the under 12s was fantastic value and choice. If you just want somewhere to have a pint and read your paper or a full on meal with the kids and the dog this is the place.

Lovely, proper Sunday roast. Full plate, everything cooked well and hot...AND plenty of proper roast pork, not like a lot of cheapskate pubs that fob you off with belly pork! Good price, lovely staff, would recommend

We were in Haselworth on our travels and came across this wonderful pub in the village. Excellent Sunday roasts and desserts and a plentiful menu, good service, very friendly and chatty staff.

A really well run pub, fantastic staff, good food and cosy corners as well as outdoor seating in a garden and on the pedestrianised street.

It was okay food wise here. No chicken at the time though. Feel like adnams as a brewery let this place down as the beer on offer is not the best choice wise and stuck with adnams on the tap

We have eaten here before we especially love the tapas menu the latest tapas I had was awesome and my wife had and thouraly liked the beef lasagne enjoyed it that much we booked in for the Friday night tapas special later in August great food and the staff make you feel so welcome along with our spaniel

Popped in for a drink whilst visiting my little girl. Atmosphere in the pub is very warm and welcoming , the staff base very polite and also helpful. As a manager for another big pub company I appreciate a great local establishment and this is definitely one. If anyone is in the area the food coming out also looks stunning. All In all a pleasant visit.

Rude, miserable, jobs-worthy staff that took it upon themselves to bully and upset a family for feeding their 3 year old with chips from a neighbouring chippy (despite having ordered multiple rounds of drinks for themselves and friends). Happily took the £50 for drinks but got strangely aggressive over £2 chips. Miserable odd bunch.

One of the best roast dinners I've ever had, if not the best. Quaint little pub in the heart of Halesworth. Everything was cooked to perfection and the gravy, wow, the gravy was amazing. Asked what was in it and apparently it's the chef's secret recipe. Return visit. Still the best there is.

We cannot fault this gastropub. Vicky and Dean are both very courteous, friendly and keen to ensure your drinks and meals are fully enjoyed. All staff are also equally keen and enthusiastic. The Ghost Ship is always perfect as is the food, with a great varied menu which is frequently updated. All meals we have ordered have always been perfectly cooked and thoroughly enjoyed. A pub my family and I regularly frequent due to its high standards of its food, varied menu, quality of service, friendliness, politeness and cleanliness. We booked in here for my partners birthday, 8 of us in total. Upon arrival we were shown our table and offered drinks. All good so far. Then the waitress came to take our food order, only there wasn't hardly anything on the menu available. No pies, no sea bass and no ham. Nothing on the special board and not a steak to be seen anywhere. We were told we should have pre ordered but sometimes its nice to decide what you fancy eating there and then we decided to leave and we certainly won't be coming back.

Had family visiting and took them here for breakfast this morning (6 people). Food was fabulous - generous portions, beautifully cooked and lovely friendly people serving us. We had 2 full English (huge!), 2 small English, 1 vegetarian breakfast (he loved it!) and bacon & pancakes. Highly recommend and we'll be back for definite. Thank you.

Have been for three meals at this pub and really tried hard to be positive. Today for lunch, I wanted to have the lamb kofte, but after I placed the order, I was told at my table that only beef was available. Had the beef....

Straight up simple pub, good friendly service with good food and decent enough range of drinks.

10 months ago we came here and gave the pub 5 stars for food and service. What a difference almost a year makes. I don't know if the pub has changed hands, but service was nothing special and the food was not good. First order they got wrong. I don't know how you can get a plain 1/2lb burger and a 1/4lb burger with no cheese wrong, but they did. The second try, the burgers were over seasoned and rushed. Both burger patties fell apart and were dry. Not good for something as simple as a burger. And for the price I would expect something decent.

Lovely old pub inside and out, great decor and ambience, with an amazing menu that had tons of variety and all tasted amazing! But beware the chilli chicken kebab, it is very spicy and not for the feint hearted, tasted incredible though!

Really hospitable hosts, lots of Adnams drinks on offer. Food isn't great. Great idea of tapas style dishes. I ordered the ham hock scotch egg, pork belly and potato Bravas. The scotch egg didn't have enough ham around the egg it was mostly bread crumb and the egg yolk was hard. The pork belly is probably the worst I have ever had. Really tough! Given discount off the bill hence 3 stars.
