Very disappointing. We were the only people in there. Still the service was poor. The food was frozen and microwaved. When I complained was hit with an aggresive response. Noticed it is shut now. does not surprise us.

Fantastic food and plenty of it. The land lord and lady lovely and friendly nothing too much trouble. We can understand why they have been awarded with a trip advisor award for 2023 and a the food guru plus pitch up even though we didn’t stay on the touring park out the back. Will definitely be back and certainly don’t understand the negative feedback on here!

Such a let down. The food was cold and still cold when reheated. After a third return it was hot but by then it was congealed. Many of our party had to return the food. It was nowhere near good enough. I certainly wont be returning and will tell others of our experience.

Worse meal I have ever had, needed to be sent back to be reheated and on its return was still only tepid in the middle. My meal was not the only meal to be returned to be reheated. Even the coffee was arriving tepid. The staff didn’t show much concern and I can see why there was no one else there eating.

Well what can i say? I eat out all the time, this was for a xmas meal with the halesworth hoppa bus charity. This was THE worst christmas meal i have had. Frozen filo prawns ok, turkey roast all cold, 3 sprouts, 1 parsnip, carrots and peas either frozen or tinned, roasties x 3 tasted frozen like aunt bessies, yorkshire burnt. All.on cold plate with thick gelatinous gravy, yuk, left most. Cheesebaloard best bit, extra tho. Coffee cold, mince pies burnt. Would not go back there if u paid me. Staff huffin and puffin, like it was al too much. Being run on a shoestring but charging top dollar. I do hope that the hoppa bus charity get given a BIG discount, they deserve it

Stayed on the campsite for two nights, Friday and Saturday. The adult only site is set out well with enough room between pitches. EHU and waste disposal points available. Toilet /shower block clean and tidy, Pub is nice, staff are very friendly. Decent beer. Had dinner in the pub both nights. Very nice both times. Reasonably close to train station and bus services. Would we stay here again? Most definitely, for longer next time.

Lovely little village/ town right on the doorstep. Overall would definitely recommend this site as ideal for visiting coastal area and will certainly return.

Had been here under different ownership so thought we’d give it a go for Sunday lunch. The vegetarian ‘roast’ was a flan which was tasteless and crumbled under the amount of gravy it was coated in. Vegetables were watery and peas undercooked. Yorkshire was doughy. Sent the meal back and would not return. The service was friendly but don’t feel it’s the standard it should be.

Spacious pub with nice warm interior and friendly landlord. Haven't been back on recent holidays to Suffolk so we thought it time for a return visit. It's also dog friendly inside (loved the doggie snacks on the bar). Will definitely return.

Booked a table here for my wife's birthday, I called in the day before to book and was greeted by a friendly smile which after a particularly bad day at work was very welcome. Arriving the next night we were again welcomed with warmth and a smile. As it happened it was "pie night" a meal for a fiver, this must be commercial shop bought food....NO, it was amasing, a hand made pie, hand made chips and garden peas for £5, Unbelievably tasty! I also ordered a side of onion rings which were again really tasty with at least 10 rings for only £2.50. I'd already asked if they did cheese and biscuits as a desert, officially they didn't but they made me some anyway, my wife's dessert of cheesecake was exceptional as well. Overall I'm surprised the place wasn't packed, great welcome, fantastic food, lovely people...do yourself a favour and book in, you will not be disappointed.

A first visit for my husband and I to this pub, accompanied by 6 of our friends, all of who have eaten here several times previously. Your carvery was excellent, thank you. Meats and veggies nicely cooked, good quality, and served with a smile. Always appreciated! Beer well kept too. Pleasant atmosphere and quiet enough to have a conversation. I only have one gripe and that is very personal, but I mention it as I feel £4.50 was wasted. I myself had the so-called Apple Pie/custard. It was circle of puff-pastry, soggy, with a rather small amount of brown apple underneath. So heavily laced with Cinnamon, which I dislike, and I just could not eat it. (Perhaps amend your menu to include it has cinnamon content?) Sorry, but that is not a classic Apple Pie. Needless to say, it was still standing there when we left. Therefore a total waste of £4.50. Yes, I could have spoken up to staff, but did not wish to embarrass the elderly couple in our party who dine here regularly. We will visit again but ASK what a dessert contains the next time ... Thank you for a pleasant meal.

The Gannon on the carvery was very fatty and tasted salty, I found my Yorkshire pudding to be over cooked, some of the vegetables were still hard especially the broccoli. Well as for the pudding that’s not apple pie it was more like very sour stewed apple with the puff pastry stuff on top it was so sour you could not even eat it it was more like a sour apple puff. I left feeling disappointment as the food here is normally really nice not sure what happened today

The Triple Plea is a pub local to us that we have used before, great pub with good friendly atmosphere. The new campsite is really nice - good sized caravan hard standing pitches with electric hook-up and 2 water taps each at opposite ends of the field. The facilities are lovely (shower and toilets), well built and spotlessly clean. The Owners are extremely friendly and helpful and go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and welcome. You can order food from the pub and then collect on your own plate or in their take away containers - the food itself is good quality pub grub which is mainly locally sourced. There is a separate place on the field for tents (with hook-up) and a pond/small wood beyond that. Now one of my favourite sites and we will definitely be returning!

Having visited in May on a Saturday evening (and unfortunately didn't leave a good review for a very acceptable and enjoyable meal off the menu), our party tried the Sunday carvery roast. First disappointment was that only the roast is served on Sundays - no menu options. Two of us found the turkey stringy with fat round the outside - never seen a fatty turkey before. The beef was very poor quality with gristle / fat. Two more of the party had the pork / gammon and commented afterwards that it was very salty, as well as having a lot of surrounding fat. Plentiful vegetables of various types which were acceptable, Yorkshire puds not bad. Cauliflower cheese looked inviting but definitely a lack of cheesy taste. Unwanted meat / fat / etc brought home for the dogs to enjoy, but I was very disappointed with the quality of the meat on offer. Overall service, beer quality and atmosphere quite good, but the roast dinner lets this pub down. Having been here and had menu food, I know it can do better. I won't say I won't have a meal here again, but I will avoid carvery days - there are much better roasts available in Halesworth.

We arranged to meet-up with friends for Sunday lunch and was not disappointed. We were greeted by the friendly staff and shown to our booked table. We all decided to have the carvery lunch which was very good, plenty of choice of vegetables etc. Although we were all replete after the carvery we did have puddings. Would thoroughly recommend this establishment.

Last day of holiday and wanted a pub meal searched trip advisor for nearby pubs, this came up with good reviews so headed there. Certainly cannot fault it from walking in we were made to feel welcome, it was reasonably busy we wee showed to a table and had the menu explained to us, it was pie night for £5 a real bargain for a lovely pie, 2 of us had this and the other a double burger, these were very thick and just as nice as the pie. Good selection all round for starters, mains and puddings. Every night has a weekly special. If you want proper pub food would definitely recommend, Also has a big garden with play equipment.

This was the third year running we have been to The Triple Plea Inn for our Christmas Day Dinner and as on previous occasions, this did not disappoint! Great food served by staff who all had smiles on their faces. Roll on next year!

First time visiting The Triple Plea Inn. We visited on a Tuesday evening and found a lot of tables reserved, this was a good sign. Great choice on the menu and we chose the Pie, mash & veg, delicious and full of to the crust. We will definitely be visiting on a Thursday for their Pie night. Plenty of specials evenings and musical nights. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We will be back.

My wife and I visited The Triple Plea Inn with her parents for a spot of lunch last Tuesday - we immediately felt a welcoming atmosphere, Ian and Sue (The Owners) had started to put the Christmas decorations up in the bar so everything was looking very festive. Unfortunately as the driver in the party I couldn't drink but there was an impressive array of ales on offer some local and some festive. The lunch menu consisted of traditional pub food something we all prefer and I've got to be honest the quality of the food did not disappoint between us we all had something different - all dishes were well presented and good portion sizes - just right for lunch. As it was an early Tuesday lunch the pub was not busy which gave us a chance to talk to the owners who explained their plans to open a camping and caravan site next to the pub next year - another reason to come back in the summer!. Ian and Sue have not owned the Triple Plea for very long but it is obvious that they are working very hard to put their own stamp on the place and that shows, we felt very welcome, were presented with some very good food which was very reasonable by the way and we are looking forward to returning especially once the camp site is up and running next year. We would recommend The Triple Plea Inn to anybody who enjoys traditional home cooked country pub style food in a relaxed environment.

We had slightly patchy impressions of this pub where we went to lunch. First a good point in that it has plenty of parking. The staff are friendly. I asked for a local brew of beer and was offered "Triple Tipple" which I believe is brewed specially for them and which was very good. Unfortunately it was let down by the food which was fairly limited in choice and very ordinary. For example, I had the pie of the day which was sausage pie. This was quite OK but not very exciting. I might go there again for the parking and the beer but not the food.

Visited many times over the past few years and always had good drinks and food. Staff lovely too and always greeted with a smile. Food is typical pub food of good quality and price, with a decent selection and in the summer months a reasonably priced barbecue with happy hour drinks on Fridays for a few hours. Slightly out of town but easy walk (10-15 mins, depending on amount of good ales you've had! ) from centre of Halesworth if you don't want to drive, advantage of this is that you feel more in the countryside than the other pubs in town, will definitely return.

I live about 60 mile away from Halesworth but whenever I visit, myself and friends go to the Triple Plea Inn. I'm a musician that has travelled over most of Great Britain and have tried most carveries for Sunday dinner. I can honestly say, this takes some beating. Food is always good and the good helpings of meat make sure you dont go home hungry. As I can never decide which to have, Ian the landlord, lets us have a piece of each. every one of the three choices are done to perfection. The choice of vegetables number many so everyone can have what they like. The staff are very helpful and Ian & Sue always have a welcome no matter how busy they are. Will I go again? You Betcha!

Myself and my partner visit this pub on a regular basis and I would be happy to recommend it to anyone. The staff are all friendly and chatty. The food is always of an excellent standard, great pub grub and a lovely selection of drinks. We also enjoy the regular music events and special themed evenings.

Just ghastly, meats over cooked , and vegetables all tasted the same, ‘of nothing.’ We will not be returning, however the restaurant was extremely busy, and others seemed to be enjoying their food. Just not for us. I would rather pay twice as much and have food better prepared.

We’ve not even left the pub yet, but we’ Just had an excellent meal. The staff have been so pleasant and helpful with allergy information and very caring about the problem. We had a selection from the menu and special requests for the child with us and nothing was a problem. Three of us had sweets and how lovely it was to find a place that also made their own sweets. The syrup sponge was a dream. Finally to add a bonus to our evening they had a pianist/vocalist playing most requests. A lovely evening with some great home cooking & entertainment. We will definitely be back

After spending the entire week eating generally great food but drinking rubbish real ales along the Suffolk coast it was a revelation to find a pub that was not tied to the Adnams brewery and that actually knew how to keep and serve real ale and didn't serve it through a cooler as though it was a pint of lager.

A very large choice and quantity of hot and cold snacks catering for approximately 70 guests in a large conservatory attatched to the pub. Very friendly and helpful staff although busy with many other diners.

We used to go to this cafe years ago and always enjoyed our experience. Unfortunately today our experience was not a good one. Felt like I spent more time queuing for drinks and then back for food than sitting down and enjoying the experience. The menu seems somewhat downgraded from when we went before (very limited - no JPs or salads etc.). In the counter pastries (sausage rolls and tea cakes) sold out by 11:30. But for us we ordered 2 x bacon, cheese and tomato paninis (£8ea with no salad garnish!). I think the photos show the problems, as one of the guests are in early pregnancy I am really disappointed this grey spoilt meat was served. They didn’t come round and ask how the food was like most restaurants do, so we took the plate up the girl looked confused and took it to the kitchen they offered another one (noting no apologies given) but spoilt meat was enough to put us off and they did complete a refund for the one that was off quickly. Such a shame but to be served off meat is pretty terrible for a well established cafe. Won’t be back, which is such a shame. Note: we are not people to complain so this is a rarity. The shop however is still a lovely visit.

As a stranger to the area, checked the website that shows the shop was open. It wasn't so went to the other shop at the other side of town, where the food was excellent ,the staff friendly and very busy, good luck to them. They deserve it.

The friendliest staff and best fried bread this side of the Pecos River. The full English breakfast is top drawer but the fried bread wins the prize! Love this place!
