Lovely atmosphere. I had an iced oat flat white and avocado toast, both were very tasty. As the avocado toast is the only vegan brunch option it would perhaps be nice if you could upgrade it by adding mushrooms, tomatoes etc, as I think this used to be offered. Service was a little slow considering it wasn't that busy. Still a lovely place to have a drink and bite to eat in Oulton Broad and will return 💚

Really sad as a local to see how this place has gone down… staff were quite rude and just not welcoming at all, very depressing atmosphere honestly and not how it used to be. The food has gone down hill in my opinion and just wasn’t good for how much you pay. Coffees were very mediocre and looked like something that could be made at home and think Costa or Starbucks could do for cheaper which speaks volumes. Will not be returning.

Beautiful breakfast, will be back again! A little pricy, but it felt worth it. Coffee was fantastic. I haven't been able to get a really good iced coffee anywhere in Lowestoft, until today. Lovely atmosphere, and staff very friendly and welcoming.

Great coffee, and amazing food, I went there mid morning for brunch. It was a popular time of day, yet was served very quickly. Will certainly revisit when back on holiday.

Visited as a family. Food/drinks were nice, some items on the food menu they didn’t have. I must agree with other reviews, staff weren’t overly welcoming and looked like they didn’t want to be there. Very poor accessibility, which could easily be solved by adding a ramp to the steps. There was also no baby changing facilities or high chairs which we found baffling as they are next to one of the largest parks in Lowestoft?This cafe needs to make it obvious what is and isn’t available on site; to prevent disappointment from those who visit (specifically those with a disability and families).

This has all the makings of a lovely coffee shop. Unfortunately the owners have created a lovely place but have little in the way of warmth or charisma and are downright unpleasant. If you visit don’t expect Stirling service. Their attitude is shocking. Let’s hope their food makes up for it 😡

Great atmosphere, hot drinks are excellent, unfortunately the food prices are high

Place is very dirty, the floor and skirting is disgusting. Coffee wasn't very warm and the wooden spoons are nasty, wood holds bacteria, just a no from me.

Looked quality. Sadly out of pancakes. (Sons first choice). Second choice toast.... can't do that 'cos it's after that time. Careful discussion and asked if any chance of just bunging some toast in? (Adult choices looked lovely.) Not a chance of doing any toast!?.... honestly I really don't mind places having set times for set choices but there were other menu options that involved bread.... presumably this could have been toasted. In the end we had to move on as no one really seemed keen to help. All very polite but sooo rigid.Might try again another day.

Service very slow just for takeaway drinks a young lady didn't know how to use the coffee machine, felt sorry for her but perhaps she could be taught to hurry things up ?

So much promise...customers clearly happy, happy dogs, busy takeaway.. ..however my individual experience was let down with a 25 minute wait for food, despite a waitress clearly clocking I was still waiting for my food at least twice. A simple proactive apology and offer of a free 2nd coffee would have prevented this review. Sadly, that was not forthcoming. We're all open to errors - how we repair is how small businesses survive the world of reviews. I won't be returning.

My god, what a find! As a Lowestoft newbie, I’d been disheartened by the lack of decent places to drink and dine, with a few exceptions - this is one of them. The coffee is superb and the food is excellent. The brownies are so well made. Highly recommended.

I popped in to buy a couple of vouchers. The shop was quite full, but I didn’t mind waiting. Two staff making coffees and neither of them acknowledged me (or the customer after me) No smile, no ‘good morning’, no ‘we’ll be with you as soon as we can’. …..nothing. When I spend money somewhere, the least I expect, to keep you in a job, is some sort of recognition for choosing you. No customer service at all, why do businesses think that this acceptable? Love to support local businesses but I’m afraid it’s a ‘no’ from me.

As a coffee lover, I really enjoyed my experience here, a great flat white and a very yummy brownie! Great service also!

Popped in for a late lunch and had the eggs benedict which was outstanding with the eggs cooked perfectly, the Spanish latte is a must have too!

Wholesome vibes, homely food and the best coffee around.

Ordered coffee and went to a table to look at the menu. The empty tables hadn't been wiped clean and the whole place was dirty, the floors, skirtings etc and it even smelled unclean, I didn't order food and could barely drink my coffee, shan't be back.

We’ve been going here regularly ever since they opened and the majority of the time the service is slow unfortunately. yet we have repeatedly gone back because there isn’t anywhere else like it close by. several times have been waiting ridiculous amount of time for just coffee. recent visit we paid and ordered and then were forgot about. then a load of runners showed up and they served them instead of us. didn’t even apologise or offer some kind of incentive to return. its clear the owners have become quite complacent and failed to see the need to improve their service as there hasn’t been any competition locally. the place has the potential of being great but it seems they are focusing more on expanding the business rather than focusing on the basic principles of good service. we won’t be returning anymore, i’d rather go to costa now, just for the service.

Popped in to buy a bag of strangers coffee and 4 bagels. Picked up the bag went to the till and the man behind the counter didn’t even look up from what he was doing. Nobody else was waiting to be served. He didn’t even acknowledge that I was there! Put the coffee back on the shelf and walked out! It was so awkward and weird. Won’t be going back and they missed out on a £30 sale through poor service. I’ve spent about £300 in here so far this year but I’ll be going elsewhere now.

Calling in for a latte after a rather breezy walk round the park, I was just in time for the cookies - fresh out of the oven, still warm and wow! Possibly the best cookies ever! Latte was lovely too.

If you are looking for a great coffee( I do mean great) go here. Best coffee on east coast…. Trust me we’ve researched many. #coffeeaddict

If you want a REAL coffee then this is the place to go! Staff are knowledgable of what they're serving and the food is great.

A great place for coffee and brunch! Dog friendly cafe with plenty of seating. We ate pancakes from the kitchen menu and took brownies home. Everything was exceptional.

Needed somewhere for a late breakfast early lunch whilst visiting Lowestoft and chose the Old Dairy. Good choice of food options so they could cater for all of the 4 of us I.e. veggie and non veggie. Service was friendly and food cooked to order. Will definitely use again when in the area and nearby. It's also near a famous Banksy street mural and Lowestoft quayside.

Lovely coffee. Snacks a bit pricey. Pleasant staff but a bit disorganised on the three occasions we have visited. Not tried full meals or evenings. Popular locally.

We had coffee and a sausage roll the roll was inedible appeared to be full of stuffing and salted to the extreme. We foolishly did not complain instead took the dish home. To our amusement it was rejected by the dog! I doubt very much we will visit again.

Over half an hour wait for a basic food order, no drinks. Came here several years ago and the food selection was great, lots of salad bowls and variety. Perhaps it's changed hands but now reverted to baco and sausage rolls. That and the long wait ... We'll try somewhere else next time.

Very nice place friendly staff nice food

Came here for pasta one Saturday evening and was looking forward to it after following the instagram page for a while. The guy who showed us to our table was dismissive and not very friendly which gave a bad first impression. The food was decent but unfortunately we were served our main while still eating our starter. Considering there was only one other table occupied in the restaurant I was quite surprised and disappointed as we left half of our starters so our main didn't get cold. The portion sizes are generous and the menu is reasonably priced. We then waited a very long time to receive the bill. It is a shame because this place could be great if the staff's customer service skills were better. Overall, we would not visit again. There are plenty of alternative restaurants that so great pasta AND great service.

Great coffee and the best ham and cheese croissant ever

We visited this morning after hearing good things about it. We arrived a minute or so before opening time and were second in the queue. When the lady unlocked the door to let us in, she didn’t even glance in our direction. We even stepped back to let her put the shop sign out and we were just ignored again. We then walked in and didn’t get any welcome or good morning from the original lady or the lad that served us. There was a younger girl waiting the tables and making food out the back, she was very friendly and gave good service. Despite this, the food and drink selection was great. The prices were pretty good in our opinion for the good quality food. My other half had a cheese and ham croissant, I had a slice of banana bread and we both had a latte. While we waited for the drinks to made, I tried some of my partners croissant and we both commented saying it’s the nicest we’ve ever had. My banana bread was lovely as well as the coffee. We would try them again as we’re local, hopefully the front of house staff/owners are a bit more welcoming next time. It’s not hard to smile and acknowledge customers, it’s basic customer service.

Me and hubbie often pop in here for a coffee when we’re out walking. Always really nice as is any of the food (sausage rolls, croissants etc) that we’ve had. Tonight went with my daughter for the pasta. We both had lamb Ragu and bread and butter pudding , all was amazing. Lovely home cooked food plus friendly staff. What more could you ask for.

I have been following them on Instagram and the food posted looked really good so we decided to call in for brunch. It didn’t disappoint. It was brilliant we both had full English. It was very high quality and we would highly recommend. Cannot wait to go back in the evening to try pasta and cocktails

Always great coffee, friendly service and today had a lovely smoked salmon, cream cheese, rocket and cucumber seeded brown bagel for brunch. A shame there is a step to get in, tricky with a buggy also No highchairs or baby changing but good coffee and food. We often get takw out for the reasons above. Nice space to sit outside too.

I have been visiting for coffee and cakes for over 2 years, we also have a holiday home that we rent and we do advice our costumers to visit as nice treat. However, we have only ate in once, and it puts us off. As we waited for at least 30 min before anyone made any contact with us, its wasn't busy and there was staff members that saw as but no one thought to tell us or have a note saying that there wasn't table service. Its not the fist time that being the fist one at the queue had to wait for about 15 min to even been acknowledged, 2 members of staff literally chatting without not even looking at you and saying "sorry for the wait" or something. After ordering another 20 min minimum for 2 coffees to take away with again... no apology. I do think that the place has good potential, shame that the staff doesn't seem to be properly trained to deal with costumers with a minimum of politeness. Would not definitely go for a quick bite, by experience doesn't happen.

The coffee here is lovely. Always look forward to coming here. good choice of light bites too. Look forward to returning soon.

Good vegan options with laid back atmosphere

I've been coming here since their opening but my first time seated inside, so I won't go on about their great quality coffee and food offerings. The interior is bright and spacious with nice Lo-Fi backing track, overall a great place to unwind and relax with friends or a book.

Stopped off here for some lunch today during a trip to the park with our grandson. Super delicious coffee and some really tasty houmous, olive, sundried tomato & rocket bagels. We sat outside in the courtyard in the late winter Sun. All round very pleasant...

Awful customer service! Have never ever been so insulted! Owner waiting on the return to my car, to insinuate I, or my young daughter had taken a wooden teaspoon! No apology! Was a regular customer will never be visiting again! EDIT IN REPLY - I feel the term furniture is a bit of a stretch! A small wooden teaspoon I would call cutlery. Maybe your staff should be more thorough when it comes to inventory as it was never there when we arrived! An apology there and then would have been nice. Instead you were rude and dismissive, and I feel only now apologising to save face.

This is a rustic style small cafe typical of the area. The selection is limited compared to larger outlets but the quality and portions are excellent. The cakes are packed full of appropriate ingredients, moist but light, the soups and various sandwiches are generous and high quality components, the drinks are correctly made, in appropriate cup sizes for the style of drink. You will not be disappointed by this lovely little cafe.

There are 3 steps to get into the front, this is very difficult on your own with a pram and I can only imagine impossible with a wheelchair. There is a back door with only one step but I have found locked usually. When I...

Probably the best coffee in town in a nice location in Oulton Broad. Very healthy snack food, too. Better than Starbollocks and Costalot, that's for sure. I've visited a few times, now since my first visit and it has remained consistently good quality. Very friendly young staff as well. I've decided to go full five star.

Great cafe in an ideal location. The coffee is beautiful, using beans roasted by strangers in Norwich, and an overwhelming selection of both tasty and spectacular looking treats.

I cannot fault the food or drink, it was delicious. But.. the music was inappropriate! Loud, swearing & offensive! I felt quite uncomfortable with it let alone what the older generation might think! Would not eat in again for that reason. I raised this with a staff member too and the response was 'It's my music today, something different.' And I felt, on the way out the staff were awkward with me as there was a silence. Edit: I don't know how to reply to your comment but if you find the derogatory black slang 'N' word acceptable then words fail me. Personally I think the swearing should be cut out like radio edits especially if children enter the cafe and for daytime use. I would have been mortified if my 3 year old was to hear that and repeat it! But each to their own and best of luck with your business.
