Great choice of beers and very welcoming after a long walk !

What a delightful, lovely pub we stumbled across. The friendly atmosphere and delicious food was such a welcoming sight. We could not have asked for more fresh food, super service or accommodating staff. Oliver particularly was so friendly and went above and beyond to make our experience a pleasurable one. This is a must visit if you are in the area.

We had a lovely Sunday roast here. The food was delicious and there was so much food. Oliver and Shakira were so accommodating and lovely. Nothing seemed too much trouble and they were so lovely with our 9 year old daughter. The venue is lovely and nothing could be faulted. We will definitely be visiting again.

What a hidden treasure to be found in Corton. We had the most lovely meal here with my husband and daughter. It was Sunday so we opted for the Sunday roast which was so delicious and fresh! Unfortunately we couldn’t finish it all but we will definitely return if we are this way again. Would highly recommend. Oliver was very attentive but not over whelming

We decided to try the White Horse for a Sunday dinner as we often pop in for a pint, and we were very pleased we did. My partner and I are both vegan, and we had some great options available to us. We went for the Wellington roast dinner, and were astounded by the amount of food we were served! Great quality, tasty sides and well cooked and presented main dish. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the restaurant has a good atmosphere. Please give the White Horse a try, especially if vegan or vegetarian, if you appreciate good, hearty food and great value for money. We will definitely be returning.

We had the most wonderful time here yesterday . We had a very warm welcome from Oliver and Shakira who could not have done more for us. The food was so plentiful and delicious. We would highly recommend and we will definitely return next time we are here.

We had a family of 6 go for Christmas dinner today and the food was out of this world! Staff were very kind, pleasant and made us laugh!

A really lovely Christmas Lunch, we went for the 3 courses and more than enough to stretch your waistband but not your purse. Service was perfect and we were well looked after. Food was high quality and delicious, (we ate the starters before I thought about a picture so sorry for that) but more than enough to share (we were a party of 3). The mustard leek crumble was a nice addition as well, worked well with the flavours of the Turkey. New decor was very chic and gave a nice vibe to the restaurant area added with some delicious home cooked food. If also highly recommended Rudolph Rudolph Ale. I don’t mind ales but this one is yum! One very full but very happy diner! Happy Christmas 🎄

Lovely hospitality, went in for coffee after walk with my dog Lola, ended up having cappuccino and ploughman's lunch. Not disappointed, lovely bar person, dog friendly ❤️ is always a bonus as I need these establishments in the local area as I'm a widow with a dog who I like to take everywhere. Thanks guys. I was looking forward to eating here after seeing a full vegan menu as it's not very often I find that, but I was very disappointed with what I got. I ordered the plant burger and chips which consisted of hard chips and a bland burger in a dry bun, I expected a bit of salad and a sauce as you'd expect in a burger but it was literally a burger and bread for £14!! Very over priced for what it was.

Welcoming little pub. Had a very nice lunch with plenty to eat, just what you want to find in a little village.

Last minute Sunday roast-was not disappointed. Huge portion, food was excellent, the carrot & swede purée was like silk! Couldn’t fit in pudding so had a takeout & was delicious, bread and butter pudding perfect. We’ll be back

I live local and frequently go here for a sit in the sunshine as it is a little suntrap. The service here has never been great but over the last six months it has become appalling. When you enter the bar you can wait anywhere between five and ten minutes before a member of staff appears. When they do appear you wonder why they are working there. There’s lights on but nobody in there. They haven’t got a clue what they’re serving and if you can through to them what you actually require, wait to they go to the cash register thet could be another five minute wait. If you ever wanted to show someone how to not run a pub or send it down hill visit here. Sorry but can’t see this place lasting if it carries on like this I think it only hangs on because of the tourists in the caravan parks as they have a captured audience as this is the only pub in village. Nice pub wrong people running it.

We attended the kids Halloween party last night and i was blown away with everything, the atmosphere, the decor everything was perfect! We also ate, we had the chicken nuggets, pasta, ice cream sundaes and sticky toffee pudding and just WOW😍 the portion sizes were good! Can tell everything was fresh! We will be returning for their Christmas light switch on in November! Such a lovley warming pub!

Absolutely awful went in the bin. Our son ordered fish it was disgusting. We ordered it to take out. Will not recommend it will not return.

Had a really lovely lunch here a few months back but went back today and ordered the same meal as last time which was awful. The service was slow, the young waiter had dirty fingernails, the surroundings were poor and even the curtain and dust fell down on us when drawing it to blot out the sun! I felt embarrassed I'd recommended this pub for lunch and taken our friends there. The cod & chips were half the size, the frozen chips were small and over done into crisps and it wasn't very hot. When the 'latte' (?) coffee arrived in odd mugs, one was only half full but despite complaining to the waiter he didn't act on a replacement, when he would have seen they weren't right. Our friends didn't want to make a fuss. This pub must have changed hands between our visits and we won't be going back again which is a shame as it's local to us.

Worst food, won’t return. Food was cold, place smelt revolving and the staff wasn’t very attentive. If you want a nice sunday roast avoid this place.

Great food, good portion sizes, served hot, excellent choices on menu, very good smokehouse menu, service was prompt and waitress was polite and attentive, can't fault, keep up the great work white horse inn corton, we will be back, loved it!

Awful service. Waited 40 mins to be served with about 8 customers in total then waited another 25 mins for plates to be cleared which they didn't do. BBQ burger was a sloppy mess. Onion rings greasy and very thin. Very very poor indeed. Rank 🤢

lovely meal tonight 6 of us came for a friends birthday we all had different meals that were cooked to order and all arrived hot and tasty staff were very good and attentive would definitely recommend and return thank you for a lovely evening

We turned up without booking - all 16 of us! From start to finish the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was all fresh and so tasty. We were a big, noisy group and never felt that we were too much trouble. Amazing place, amazing staff and absolutely amazing food 😊

the food was perfect! ordered some fish and chips and was perfectly cooked just the way i liked it, the staff were so lovely and patient, and the locals were lovely. i would recommend coming here, definitely going again and bringing my dog as today i learnt it’s also dog friendly so that’s always a bonus!

Had the smoke house ribs when they finally arrived just BBQ fat on the bone no meat and at £20 total rip off

It's not my kind of place. The toilets were clean, but the pub could do with updating.

Could be a little gem of a place but the service was extremely slow, one member of staff needs to use her indoor voice and the Cockerell bell needs killing. Husbands steak was overcooked and to salty. My gf fish was well cooked. Food was hot, but the time it took from not beening greated at at door to our food being cooked was far to long. If the service and timings were sorted it could be great. No smokehouse foods were available, such a shame. One couple asked for lattes and was told there were no. Surely it's just a case of heating milk up and adding coffee if they wanted the business.

Was recommended this pub, but not impressed. Waited 45mins for a well done steak only to send it back as was rare, the onion rings were very greasy and the chips were undercooked, the surf and turf burger was not worth the £24 price tag, and to top it all i was up all night being sick, will not be going back

Called in to get a bite to each, choose of the menu which seemed good value, only to be told that was takeaway only, although locals in the pub seemed to able to order amd eat at the bar, then handed the main menu, which was main meals which we didn't really want, so had to order off the takeaway menu, and leave the pub and park up at the beach. And to be honest the food was not great. The chicken burger was literally a piece of fried chicken in a dry roll. And chip batch had about 8 chips in. Very disappointed. Can't comment on the main meals. The pub itself seemed really nice.

Totally dissatisfied, having arrived at the premises for a pre booked Sunday meal , we were ignored by the staff behind the bar until it suited them to approach us, staff were grumpy and unprofessional. We were taken to our inside table , the area was draughty and had a kitchen swing door that constantly smacked the chair directly behind it! We waited for over an hour for food to be served, one meal did not arrive at all and then the staff made some crazy excuses as to what had happened. We could hear from the outside seating area loud cheering when their food arrived , we presumed that they had also waited an age. The food was substandard and was lacking presentation, we witnessed more food being returned to the kitchen than was actually consumed. We later learned that the premises had changed ownership, hopefully the new owners can improve on their hospitality skills and accept constructive criticism to improve on what they are lacking at the moment.

OMG Where to begin. It took a very long time to decide what we wanted to eat, settled for a roast beef mac and cheese salsa sandwich, then faced with the the struggle of how to eat it. This was a faultless meal service fantastic not rushed at all. We will be back

Generally a lovely traditional pub that's become the heart of this village with the ability to takeaway and has a village shop. Staff were friendly, customers seems to be mainly used by the locals with the occasional holiday goers nearby. Also has a small play area for the smaller kids to distract themselves for at least 20 mins lol now the food, everything was OK, burger was decent, onion rings a little meh. Little ones fish fi gers at least were goujons vs your typical breaded frozen lot, but my smoked meat platter was unfortunately pretty disappointing. Look I ate it regardless, but overall, it was just dry and bland. If you're expecting some teas style bbq smoked brisket and ribs?this is not it unfortunately. Would recommend as a pub, not really as an eatery on this occasion.

We stayed across the road in the holiday park and stumbled upon this place due to convenience but what an absolute gem. My wife is gluten free and the options were superb and my kids were very well looked after. The menu is great and the food did not disappoint. The staff couldn’t have been any more helpful with no request too much especially on the gluten free. I would highly recommend this pub.

Average food, waited over an hour for it to be served garlic bread was not nice

We are visiting the area for the weekend and decided to book a Sunday lunch at the local pub. We ordered a children’s roast, a homemade steak and ale pie, plaice and chips and a cod and chips. We waited over an hour for food, and it was not busy at all. I appreciate food cooking takes time, but over an hour? The children’s roast was a disgrace. The meat was fatty and not cooked, the Yorkshire pudding was cold, the stuffing was rock hard ( the knife bounced off it!) and the vegetables were puréed mush. We sent the meal back to be told there was ‘nothing wrong with it’. My friend is a cook so she absolutely knows how food should be prepared and served. She was not offered an alternative meal or even a replacement. We were then asked if we had moved tables as only 3 plates of food came out. We were told that the head chef had ‘dropped the plate’ of food and then we were told that it was not on the order! We then had to wait even more time for this to be prepared. The homemade pie was a pastry topper and the steak was tinned stewing steak, so very little homemade about it!! The other 6 people in the restaurant were also waiting an age for their meal, and we left before they actually got their meals. We were offered a drink or dessert as an apology, but it’s clearly disorganised and for an establishment to not accept feedback is not likely to be successful.

Came down for a holiday with my partner and our boy, took a nice walk to the village shop, while we was in there the young gent told us we have a few singers on if we didn't have any plans, so we came back later that day we enjoyed our time there also a park on site to keep the young 1s happy, excellent service was very impressed, we also came back later that week had a family, food was spot on in every way, would highly recommend to anyone who goes on holiday that, best damn meal we have ever had in a long time.

Absolutely disgusting!! Ordered cajun chicken for my wife and steak mustard ciabbattas. It wasn't ciabbatta but we didn't complain..my wife's came (small warmed baguette burnt chicken and loads of coleslaw on top..I presume to disguise the tough burnt chicken..soft nachos..the salad was a chunk of iceberg and when she turned it over it was brown and dirty with soil in. I really wish I'd taken photographs...but we were tired hungry on holiday..so just asked for money back..which the lady behind the bar gave me. I ate my tough small pieces of steak ( much to my wife's disgust insisting I'd get food poisoning)but left the salad....never to return here again!!

Ordered steak &ale pie with seasonal veg. When it came it was a piece of flat pastry, 4 bits of meat and a plate of gravy. Asked about the veg to be told it was peas today. Refused to pay £15.49 each for it, to be told she didn't cook it and didn't serve it up, very rude and not so friendly landlady, paid for our drinks and left.

Avoid. The food was terrible, and the customer service was rude, making me feel very unwelcome. I ordered ribs, which arrived completely burnt with a bad sauce. The chips were undercooked and swimming in oil.

Lovely pub with big garden and plenty of room inside very nice food and big portions good beer selection well worth a visit if your in the Corton area.

We had a lovely meal here today. 4 of us. We sat outside in the lovely sunshine. Very nice outside seating area. I'm Coeliac so have to have a gluten Free diet. I had cod and chips and it was delicious. Highly recommend a visit. We will be back as we have a caravan in the village. It may become a regular visit. 😁

Food was terrible, over cooked, and bland. the two younger members of staff were both attentive and pleasant. What truly ruined the experience was how we were treated after we were honest about how bad the food was. Staff embarrassed themselves by arguing with us loudly in front of other customers, very unprofessional

VILE. The food was overcooked, foul meat, dirty tables, had to share cutlery as they’d run out, we complained (which we never ever do) and was shouted at with absolute attitude in front of other guests. Very very very rude staff except the young boy and young girl, who were exceptionally friendly. Totally avoid at all costs

Fantastic pub. Friendly staff & locals. Huge menu including burgers, steak light bites & Smokehouse. We had drinks and food. We'll definitely be back, if we're in the area. The bar & conservatory are dog friendly. WiFi is available & there is a pool table. The village shop is to the rear.

Waited ages for food over hour for, my granddaughter, wanted mashed potatoes, got brought chips when asked where the mash potatoe was got brought out 10 minutes later, that was not homemade mash potato, it tasted like smash don't pay 6.50 for instant smash,

The ladies working here were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They arranged seating outside for us in the marque and even when it turned from glorious sunshine into pouring rain they still came out to ask if we needed anything else and to bring and take plates. The food was delicious and the portion sizes extremely generous. The pub was clean and tidy and there was a nice play area outside for the children to play in . ( which they loved) We would definitely reccomended and would return again

We were recommended to come here and we've been regularly coming ever since. Friendly, helpful staff, great food and a nice atmosphere. Very dog friendly and there is even a little, well stocked shop on site. Thoroughly recommend.

We both had Sunday roast and the meat was nicely cooked and a generous portion for the price. Lovely vegetables to accompany to including a leek and cheese bake with breadcrumbs which was very tasty along with a very nice caramelised roast carrot, parsnip, potatoes, red cabbage, mixed veg and peas and sweet potato mash, Yorkie and stuffing ball with extra gravy! Enjoyed sticky toffee pud and ice cream to finish. Heartily recommend. Attentive waiting staff. Would definitely return. One of the nicest roasts out I have had in a long time.

Went here as it was convenient to get to and had good reviews. Menu is extensive but expensive. Expected it to be like a gastro pub but it was fairly basic. Very loud rowdy atmosphere when we visited which was not a good experience. Food was ok, nothing to shout about. We had fish and chips. The service was very good and the staff were friendly.

Out for a couple of drinks and ended up having lunch very reasonably priced and very nice food. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. Nice atmosphere polite staff great service 😎👍

On holiday at Broadland SANDS wanted somewhere we could take Rosie, our chocolate lab. The first time we went we had the chicken bites and chips in a basket which were really tasty. Next day we went back for lunch with friends. Again the food was delicious. The lady behind the bar was hilarious, wasn't fazed by the queue and there were were quite a few regulars. As usual no-one could resist Rosie who had loads of tummy tickles. Would definitely recommend

Forgot my partners extras, no real apology just said we will take them off the bill. Seasonal vegetables was peas, just peas, said their order hadn't turned up, again no apology or any reduction in the bill for the missing seasonal veg. Having been our second night eating there and staying very close to this pub I think we will be taking our custom elsewhere for the next few nights. The food was good, unfortunately the staff today were not a patch on the day before who were attentive, chatty and full of smiles. When asked if everything was OK shortly after starting our meal my partner who had her mouth full wasn't even given time to respond and the lady was gone. I had to call another lady over to point out their errors. We didn't bother to stay for drinks after our meal as on the previous night. We were the only 2 eating in the restaurant area at the time so they looked like the could do with the business which they have now lost.

Lovely staff and brilliant food. I didn't expect it at all but this pub is my number one. One thing to mention please connect the music to your wall speakers. Even though the staff make it possible to listen to music another way. I have to say you are simply the best!

I stumbled across this pub and I must say I was very impressed! The girl who served me was very chatty and friendly, great house ale and great range of bar snacks. Didn’t eat here but the choice of drinks were excellent. Will definitely be back!

Been to this pub several times as local to us, so we could be regulars. However we were not made to feel welcome, as staff were not very friendly. They served us but not willingly it seemed as if we were a nuisance. Other locals seemed to be served more friendly. Had a meal but not as good as in the past. Very few chips with the scampi etc. Drinks very expensive .

The food is excellent home made cheesecake very tasty and very friendly polite staff will definitely visit again when in the area

This has become our local pub, when in the region. We couldnt have asked for a better pub. Lovely staff, friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Food is plentiful and so delicious. We are slowly going through the menu. Dog friendly in the bar area, so have not made it into the restaurant but conservatory, front and back bar are ok to sit and eat, chat to locals and totally chill out. Love this pub and we go every time we are in the region.

The White Horse is very friendly, and very welcoming to dogs. The food was great. Cod and chips was stunning, the portions were large. The homemade scampi was so good. The local butchers sausages were meaty and flavour filled. Biscuits and water were available for our dog. And nuggets were served for our dog. And the service in the attached village shop was brilliant. This is a definitely a place to return to.

First visit and won’t be our last. called in for lunch, I had haddock and chips wife had the pie large portions and food was very good The staff were excellent and had time for a chat made us feel very welcome.
