No Sunday roast, website needs updating as it says the do Sunday roast and dog bowl roasts but when you get there, they say they don’t do Sunday roast

First time visit, brilliant meal, one complaint, too much!!!!! As Arnie said 'I'll be back'

Visited for the first ever time. Was amazed by the view from the beer garden. Lovely afternoon spent having a drink and socialising.

Lovely dog and kid friendly establishment. A good range of food on offer and a specials menu. The crab salad went down well from our group. Portion size was big especially on the children's menu. There was a good selection of beers and the bar is dog friendly too.

We did not eat here on this occasion,but had a quick drink on our way home . The bar staff were friendly and helpful ...try their Lilleys flat cider Mojito so nice .

Lovely place on the water, food is tasty but the chicken in a bucket meals just have lots of chips so it can be a bit of a challenge to finish it.

The commodore now has some life back in it. The staff are great always wanting to service you. Everywhere is clean and tidy, The food is great, If it is a hot sunny day it will be packed, the music is on most weekends so check Facebook to see who is playing, the sunsets are usually epic if it is a clear night. Highly recommend going to this place. there are two outside bars and lots of seating.

It's a very Huge YES from me... A very warm, charming, & friendly , watering hole.With enchanting views of the river with ducks.... Food was absolutely delicious as was the atmosphere, chilled & relaxing..What's not to love??? Always a Joy..... Great vibe....Nice crowd... There's a great Buzz about the ... place.... Went to watch the football, great atmosphere you have to try the mango cider

I'm not keen on the new menu. Much preferred the old one. Wasn't a restaurant feel upstairs anymore. The food was nice and the service was great.

Here for dinner on a June evening - really wanted to sit outside but was too chilly so ended up in the bar. Service was good and food was fine - although menu a bit limited (more pub grub) shall look forward to them re-opening the restaurant with the 'proper' menu now that it is back in good hands! Acoustics terrible in the bar - can't imagine what it's like with live music, could barely have a conversation.

Lovely family meal here. Ten of us, all our meals arrived at the same time. Only complaint seemed to be too much food!. All meals as requested and tasty. Staff helpful and had saved a great table for us. Well done all.

Called in to the Commadore to have a drink with family, we weren’t disappointed. The weather was stunning and the beer garden more than catered for it with stunning views across Oulton Broad. We picked bench down by the slip way near the boats, it did have some noisy seagulls focused on it but they kept away until we had left so it was fine. Had some time before the rest of our party arrived so we ordered some food, a burger and some Ndjua macaroni cheese. The burger was delicious and the chips superb. Very tasty and very filling and a decent portion. The Mac and cheese was a bit disappointing as was more like a cream sauce with pasta and could have done with more cheesiness but was fine and was off the specials board so not something you would necessarily purchase. Meal was a good price as were drinks and we had a lovely evening enjoying the gorgeous scenery and pub. One thing that we may have missed but when we were driving to it there didn’t seem to be any signs before you were there so ended up in the hotel next door to start with!!

Such a great setting overlooking Oulton Broad, plenty of tables inside and out. Staff all very cheerful,welcoming and helpful. Food was very average on this visit and much better on previous visits

Love this spot but sadly since the change of hands to Moss & Co the pub has become much less dog friendly. The staff who I knew from before were lovely still, but I used to come here specifically because of the exceptional welcome provided for dogs.

Raining on day of visit so couldn't benefit from outdoor seating and spectacular views. Good beers.

Always a great atmosphere especially when the sun is shining. New menu is amazing, allergic to mayo and they were able to accommodate despite being hesitant to at first due to it being pre made as it’s busy today. Really great food and drinks

Ordered the bacon burger... it was incredibly greasy so much so that the bun was soaked in it and puddles on the lettuce. I couldn't eat it however, I was given some chicken strips to replace it free of charge which was very kind. Staff were lovely and polite and the atmosphere was nice. Beautiful view of the broads. Probably wouldn't come back for food but would definitely stop in for a couple of drinks now and then!

Very glad that Commodore is back in the hands of Moss & Co once again, so we obviously couldn’t wait to visit on a recent sunny day, to enjoy sitting near the river at this iconic pub/restaurant. We ordered food as Moss & Co food never disappoints. However, sadly, this time it did. Portions were far too big (the bucket of chicken and bucket of scampi) contained enough chips to feed 3/4 people. Also the food wasn’t up to the usual Moss & Co standard - the fries were under cooked, the chicken lacking enough coating and was slightly burnt. Quite disappointing, and the food for 3 of us cost £48. I’d rather pay a bit less and have a smaller portion. Also, the quality of the food needs to improve drastically. That said, as I mentioned at the start, I’m just very happy that Moss & Co are back, and I will absolutely visit again soon. It’s still early days, so perhaps the kitchen staff just need a little longer to master the food. Service was great as always!

Sadly the food did not live up to expectations. Gravy was cold, as was the lamb shank, Yorkshire pudding was burnt. On the plus side the waiter was very apologetic and returned the food to the kitchen, for what hopefully was a fresh plate

I went into commordore today with my family and had there roast and it was lovely there was about of a wait but that’s understandable giving that they were clearly short staffed i would recommend going back to everyone

Tanya and Nathan could not have been more accommodating, friendly and welcoming on New Year’s Eve when we came with three dogs for lunch. The food was excellent. This pub is incredibly welcoming for dog owners which is why I keep coming back!

The atmosphere was nice well decorated, the staff were lovely, however £18 for an average burger ruined what would have been a lovely post Christmas catch up with the family. Either the price needs to come down to meet the 'burger and a few chips' on the plate, or the accompaniments need to radically improve. Tha calamari and prawns were cooked well, but again, overpriced, and the nachos just had generic sauces on, and as no meat...again too pricey. Sadly we won't be back, which is a shame as it seems to be a lovely place, even In the rain. Maybe that is why it was so quiet

Service was outstanding by Fin, who was very professional yet friendly at the same time, and the bar staff Jude and Nathan were excellent too. The food was amazing, and I have been there twice, and I will definitely be back.

Just had a meal at the Commodore in Oulton Broad . Lovely meal, along with complimentary drinks because its my Birthday. Really lovely and the service was great.

Quick pint on a dog walk. Warm and all decked up for Christmas. Plenty of offers and beer is only £2.75 a pint. Would definitely be back.

Food lukewarm, poor quality steak, lackadaisical staff

Had a great meal with a large number of my family, staff took great care of my elderly grandmother and kept the young kids well entertained as well! Special thanks to Ayesha and chef Dan!!

We went stopped for a quick bite for lunch. The drink selection was good, the pub was clean and the food we had was lovely. Tanya was really personable and seemed to be love her job…always a bonus! Keep up the great work and we will be back next year when we visit family!

We were directed here by a random and kind stranger. What views!! Also a welcome rarely experienced anywhere by an ebullient Tanya. Beautiful inside as well as out. The food really hit the spot. We intend to visit through the seasons and often.

Had a great meal at this pub. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great views of the water. Has a scheme where you download an app to get a free beer. I was very suspicious of this and thought it would be a con , it wasn't ,lovely free beer. Would highly recommend this friendly bar for a meal or a drink. My one criticism would be turn the bloody heating on.

Looked this place up on Trip Adviser and thought it would be a lovely place to go and celebrate my other half’s birthday. The food was good but the restaurant was so cold. No heating on what’s so ever. Asked the staff if there was any heating and even moved tables to be near the only radiator. But the radiator wasn’t on and the air con which the member staff turned on was still blowing cold when we left. The staff were helpful but once we said it was cold they avoided us. Such a shame, lovely place but take jumpers!!!

Staff were very helpful and explained any queries we have regarding the menu. Asked if the were any allergies. Dining area clean, and sound systems at the right level. Child in our group was provided with crayons and paper, very useful before lunch arrived. Food promptly served and all enjoyed their dinners. We had a group booking for 14 people whilst on holiday. The menu offered a good selection. The food cooked by Dan and Charlie was delicious and the service was well presented by Fin and Taran, who were attentive, polite and efficient and made sure our dining experience was an excellent one. We would definitely eat here again, the restaurant has a great atmosphere and lovely vibe. If you have dogs they get the TLC treatment. Wow to the dog menu. Well done Commodore a big thumbs up from us.

My Daughter & myself wanted some nice lunch & enjoy the gorgeous weather possibly with some views to soak up & the Commodore didn’t disappoint! We ordered our food from a varied menu (My Daughter explaining she had a dairy intolerance was listened to & understood ) In good time our piping hot & very well presented food was brought out to us. We had a wonderful couple of hours sitting outside & enjoying both the view and superb food, we shall definitely be returning again, in fact we grabbed a festive set menu for December (which was very reasonably priced) Thank you Dan & Charlie for a great experience.

We popped into this lovely looking establishment whilst on holiday, lured by the 2 for 1 cocktail sign large and visible from the front door and again repeated on the board inside. We asked the friendly barman what cocktails were available on this deal. Shocked...

Just beer very good and good look view

In a moment of weakness we returned for a meal. It was a real mistake. The drinks were still overpriced, the quality of the food was poor. To be frank it was like eating at a grossly overpriced Wetherspoons. We used to go to this pub a lot, especially for the sunset views. These views are still good, but the drinks are well overpriced and the tables were dirty. This won't be our local any longer, the brewery have screwed it up.

Lovely hidden gem, tucked away at the end of Oulton Broads. Perfect place to moor up with the family when out on a day trip on the water. Good variety of food on offer, as well as offering a trendy, street food style garden menu for when you fancy something a bit lighter. Wide choice of drinks stocked behind the bar, with a lovely little garden bar to help avoid some of the queues in busier periods. Live music every Saturday which always goes down a treat and really gets the venue pumping. All in all, a lovely place to spend a day, afternoon or night, with a diverse team of staff that go out of their way to make your experience superb. I will be visiting again, and again and again!
