Try the bacon rolls they are really good and inexpensive plus the option of adding extra items staff still as good plus you can ask for extra shots of coffee or different milk options plus excellent iced drinks which are not expensive with a choice of milk also sandwiches freshly made they are delicious

Awful customer service, they don’t do menus, so everyone had to go to the counter and read the board to choose. my daughter ordered a breakfast and asked for her eggs to be fried, apparently they don’t fry eggs. I asked for the salmon and avocado on sourdough. It was served with white bread, I was told the board was wrong ! Poor attitude from staff, will not be returning.

This wonderful Cafe conveniently located near the Bus & Train stations in Welwyn Garden City provides an ideal meeting place for locals and travellers alike. The quality and service are unequaled, providing food and drinks of exceptional quality & value. Whenever I order a coffee I just cannot resist ordering one their amazing ’Cannolis’ a decadent rich Italian treat which cannot be ignored. The food is all homemade in-house and always freshly made and brought to your table. This cafe is part of a chain of cafes and is extremely popular and can be sometimes difficult to find a seat which you need to do before ordering. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Sunday afternoon. Quiet and calm. Coffee is good but service at the counter very poor. Disinterested bored staff.

We were looking for a lovely spot to have lunch and came across this joint. Service was very very slow and it appeared the staff were in no rush as conversations amongst themselves were continuing. No apologies not care for the slowness. Food was okay however price quality/quantity vs price did not balance. Disappointed as what was meant to be a relaxing catch up over lunch ended up being quite underwhelming.

Ok so we arrived. The cafe looks nice. Thats where the niceties ended. We ordered 4 breakfasts and 2 toast. 2 x breakfasts arrived after 15 minutes. The sausage was like cardboard and had obviously just been reheated. The rest of the breakfast was awful too and the hash brown may as well been mash potatoes. 15 minutes later the other 2 breakfasts arrived. The beans hadn’t even been microwaved they were cold to the touch and the other two breakfasts were already finished. Again some of the food was inedible. We actually prompted them at one point to get our own breakfast from top of the counter and she said I’ll bring them over don’t worry. They sat there a further 5 minutes. The staff couldn’t hold a conversation and were unfortunately either new to the jobs or terrible waitresses. The service and food don’t deserve 1 star and it’s not cheap for what you get.

Ate here today with my wife and 2 children and despite the huge fair on in the town today and the main music stage being just outside the front doors the staff and atmosphere were lovely. My son had pancakes and wolfed them down followed by his favorite chocolate ice cream. The staff were attentive and courteous despite everything going on and coped extremely well with the amount influx of customers. The menu was extensive and had a huge selection of drinks and the pastries that looked amazing. All in all a great afternoon treat and if I'm ever back in Welwyn I will make sure to revisit Bebo cafe.

Popped in Bebo cafe, for lunch. absolutely amazing place, staff very tentative to your needs, great choice of food from sandwiches to all day breakfast , very clean, will definitely go back. Absolutely recommend a must go visit

Nice place serving good food. I had lunch here with members of my family. We sat out on the street as it was a sunny day.

We ordered snacks- 1 piece of carrot cake and 2 sausage rolls. all items were stale and inedible. Not sure how old they were or if they were just left out all night. Had to return all items to the slow-moving queue. We were given alternatives ( different cake which staff said they knew they had put out that day! ) and sandwiches which were edible. By this time we really just wanted to leave and not return. It was not a relaxing, enjoyable treat. The layout and seating changes and the removal of the breakfast bar make the cafe less cosy. Sadly after visiting many times in previous years, we have decided not to return anymore and will go to one of the many other cafes in the town.

Lovely, warm welcome, delicious coffee

Called in for breakfast. Good choice of menu but the food not so good. Scrambled egg on toast - served cold on a cold plate with a salad garnish and dressing ?? Bacon baguette- the only white baguette was over microwaved so had to have brown. Bacon was dried out and over cooked to the extent that it was inedible.

My favourite cafe in Welwyn, it has character, not the usual overcharging highly pretentious cafe’, this place has the best atmosphere, delicious simple meals, together with the friendliest staff, really well done to everyone at Bebo, especially Brigi, who went above and beyond looking after myself and my family.

Manager don’t treat workers with the respect that they deserved. He was awful and I can’t believe how he treats his employees like this making them feel so bad, as I was leaving through the snug to get to the bus stop I saw a young workers stressing out and some crying

Saturday the 16th of march I went to bebo and had a jacket potato with beans and a coffee there was a middle aged man (serving coffee and tea) he was quite rude to me and my family he brought over my food and my coffee and the coffee was cold I asked for another coffee due to the incompetence of that man he couldn’t deliver my coffee quickly he yelled at me saying it’s not his fault and refused to make me another, I paid for another coffee and received it myself the man possibly a manager was shouting at the workers and customers he was really rude. He looked like he was in his 40’s and had a bold spot on his head. WOULDN’T RECOMMEND. STAY AWAY

DO NOT RECOMMEND! Returned into Bebo today for a coffee with my wife, and what we thought would be a normal relaxing coffee experience turned into much more. The coffee made by the young girl on till was good and she was friendly, however, when we sat down, we witnessed an older male member of staff (I assume in charge) talking to his employees in an absolutely foul manner. He was swearing at the younger members of staff, resulting in them crying.. This is unacceptable in the work place. Not to mention there food and heigene, where this man was also handling food without gloves!!!! Customers will not return, employees are being treated awfully. Management is failing terribly, ashame because this place used to be nice. Bebo sort it out.

I’ve been here before and is usually a pleasant place, however today was dreadful! I witnessed some man (must have been the manager) shout and swear at all his staff!! Absolutely vile, no staff members should be treated like that, especially by a middle aged man with a superiority complex against young girls! Disgusting man! Not coming back!!!! AVOID THIS PLACE

Bebo Cafe in Welwyn Garden City is a gem! Awesome vibes and their panini is so tasty! Perfect spot for a coffee or hot chocolate.

Food prepared fresh to order, unfortunately staff take some time to locate the customer... Observed soup being returned to be reheated, as the waitress took so long to find the recipient.

Cakes not labelled. The same knife used for gluten free cake and other cakes. Not supplied with forks to eat the cakes. Cakes were dry so perhaps had sat there for a few days ? Drinks served luke warm. Not the best experience.

This is the 4th time now that I have sat and waited for Bebo staff to bring my order and each time they haven't. The first time, I let it go. The second time, I asked why? (Till not working properly) The third time, I asked for the manager and was told the order system was being reviewed and it would be sorted out. The final time, today ( why did i bother, i know) no food again!! But this time I needed it because of my diabetes. I wasnt pleased and asked for a refund explaining why. She did not look at me once, did not apologise and snapped when I asked her to hurry as I felt unwell. I want to support my local town which is why I kept returning. However, these experiences have left me angry and upset. Never again!!

Amazing experience, got served by a lovely waitress Gemma, she gave great vibes for the store and made us feel very welcome as well as the manager bridgy. Aside from the great service the food was absolutely amazing the hot chocolate was very warming and chocolatey. I had ordered a number 55 on panini bread which I really recommend, the bread was toasted perfectly and the chicken was not dry at all. If you’re looking for an amazing place to relax please come to bebo I can’t recommend it enough honestly.

Cakes were not labelled. We got the gluten free carrot cake by accident. If it said gluten free wouldn't have picked it. Got the regular slice afterwards- still dry. Food should be labelled. When ordering it should be clear what you are getting. They had run out of hot chocolate on a Saturday afternoon.

Slow service at a time that wasn't particularly busy, when they finally came, the sandwiches were dry and bland. Rubbish on the floor, tables weren't cleaned. The soap dispenser in the bathroom was broken. Staff were generally inattentive, and clearly in need of training on cross-contamination... As a positive, the coffees were not too bad, just a shame about the food and service.

Randomly went here after getting to John Lewis before it opened. One lady taking orders, same lady making the hot drinks. So everytime she takes an order you have to wait for her to make the drinks of the previous order before she takes yours. This despite there being several other staff members working. Annoying. This is also the first cafe I have ever been to that doesn't do fried egg. Bizarre, can only assume they don't cook fresh food. Had the gourmet breakfast which was anything but. Cheap, low meat content sausage. Scrambled egg that looked and tasted microwaved. Bacon was actually pretty good to be fair. Coffee was also good. Wouldn't return.

Came in for a quick coffee today and have to say was really disappointed with my experience. Coffee was nice but couldn’t enjoy it due to the horrible environment created by some of the staff. The way some of the older team members were seen talking to the younger staff was disgusting. From what I could see, there is no respect given to these younger workers when they deserve it the most. Can’t say I will be back after seeing this!!

A lovely place to stop for a coffee on a shopping trip to WGC. We have had lunch here several times and always enjoy the food, service and the atmosphere.

If you are ever in Welwyn Town Centre and are feeling a little parched or peckish then I highly recommended Bebo. The ambiance is wonderful and cosy with light background music played to fill the quiet moments. The staff are so friendly especially the 2 young blonde ladies. Always greeted with a smile and warm welcome. They are so accommodating with their patience and kindness and good knowledge of the menu. Then to the main part of the experience ’The Food’. The food is freshly prepared with fresh ingredients to a very high standard and always very fast. The selection of cakes is fantastic especially love the cannolis. All round a 5 star experience.

Past few times I have been here food has been wrong. Long wait times when there are hardly any customers, staff members on till that don’t really know what they’re doing. Average food bit slim pickings for a sandwich in town!

I had a great dining experience here at bebos in Welwyn the food I got was well priced and very lovely the customer service was amazing I was served by a girl with dark hair and eyeliner and she was very nice and caused no trouble would definitely come back again with friends next time 👍👍

This review saddens me as Bebo used to be amazing but now such a let down. Where to start.... Staff - rude, slow and barely competent. Surly barista. Food - portions smaller and not as well prepared. Panini was doughy and tasteless where they used to be crispy amazing ness! Crisps now a handful and salad replaced by a sprinkle of crisps. Cleanliness - photos say it all. Worn and dirty carpet. Chairs uncomfortable and worn. Cluttered and grubby. Tables dirty. Overflowing bin next to the napkins. Bebo - you are better than this! Think about it and get back to how you were as I miss you. UPDATE - dropped in to see if it is any better. Dirty tables, coffee served in wet mugs and the toilet.....also, no tea spoons but sticks. Surely a reusable tea spoon is better, cheaper and ultimately better for the planet. Also the nasty carpet replaced! Huzzah surely. No, poorly laid tiles. All of this let's down your food. Note dirt! Service really slow.....asked after 30 mins "where is my order?" "Oh, we missed it". Food arrives! Order wring and quality poor. I have the goats cheese onion panini, goats cheese almost absent. Seven dirty tables in my eye sight. The worst.

We drove for 15 minutes to collect this because we heard the waffles were amazing but unfortunately we were given the wrong order. We had ordered the savoury waffles which came with bacon and eggs but were given waffles with fruit. As the bag had been stapled closed and we had a long drive, we didn’t want to open the bag and allow the food to get cold, plus we assumed the order would have been correct. We’re very disappointed and furthermore, if we had ordered the waffles with fruit, the amount of cream that came with it was pitiful. we would appreciate a refund for the incorrect order. We had 2 all in 1 breakfasts. Food arrived luke warm, tiny portion of mushrooms, sausages were just about cooked. Service was tepid, no option given for the eggs ( poached or scrambled), no condiments or sauces offered. A rather underwhelming experience.

Big fan of the breakfasts at Bebo! Particularly their english breakfast and croissants. Yum!

Used to be a great place for Gluten free but not any longer since change of staff. Too much cross contamination witnessed on last visit to feel safe eating there.

First time here... the food was average and the mocha was okay. Service was lovely. Cute place in WGC but nothing to write home about.

They never send any food. Do not use them as they just use Uber driver And not just eat, now Uber driver were not there and no one came, have yo argue long and call just eat and back frustrated the manager was not helpful and my food get cold there and get in bin I guess. Waiting for refund now form just eat

Overpriced. Salad was mainly leaves, small portion of prawn (which are tiny also) and slivers of avocado, unripe tomatoes. £18 for 2 salads and a hot choc takeaway, daylight robbery. Afraid I won't be visiting again. Really disappointing.

Cosy but spacious, nicely decorated cafe with a homely feel. Has a good selection of cakes and lots of sandwich options! Sitting outside in the sun is lovely too. Highly recommend. There's lots of coffee places in Welwyn Garden City, it's good to support a local cafe!

Poor quality food today……disappointing Usually the food is good, but disappointing today. Jacket potato obviously not freshly cooked today, with beans that looked like they had been reheated over and over. One side of the chocolate orange cake my daughter ordered was stale and hard. She didn’t want want me to send food back, so we didn’t make a fuss…..

Pleasant staff and nice place but failed at the simplest of tasks. Asked for a toasted bacon sandwich. Bread barely toasted on one side, no butter and bacon was really fatty and undercooked, also very stingy as only one slice for a whole sandwich! No chocolate on cappuccino!

My girlfriend and I came here due to the fact that her pet hamster is named Bebo. My coffee was exquisite and the hot chocolate was amazing, albeit sweet. I loved my caesar salad and the duck wrap was pleasant. To top off a pleasant experience, the music (jazzy) was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Just had coffee it was excellent

It looked like a nice place but was usually too busy so we had never tried it. Today outside tables were available (thanks to the cold I guess) so we had cappuccinos. I don't know if it's the coffee they use but both were tasteless, it was milk with a hint of coffee, so we went home to make ourselves proper ones.

Welwyn GC branch much improved now you can sit outside the front on Stonehills without car exhausts polluting your meal now it's pedestrianised. The coffee and food is good too. We are regulars.

terrible tasting coffee, maybe machine needs service or coffee is probably stale, although they did have Oatly mild which is a plus, sweet staff but poor quality food and drink. panini not cooked enough, bread verging on stale, pesto appalling, nice environment to sit and plenty of plug sockets. cookies in mass packets stored in boxes so obviously not at all fresh, what a shame Response to response; Thanks for your response. That is good to know re your machines and coffee but unfortunately this did not translate into a good cup, perhaps the barista skill then? I really don't know why but it was watery without a nice taste. I visited the Welwyn branch. I did not raise this as I did not see how any of the factors could have been fixed to offer a better cup/fresher bread/different pesto, although I realise I could have got the panini cooked more had I asked.

In Hatfield today and needed to kill an hour so called in here for a coffee and a piece of cake (lemon iced cake). Staff were friendly and helpful, coffee (Latte) and cake were great. Have never been to Hatfield but if I am ever back here and want a coffee I know where to come. ✔️✔️✔️
