The Attimore Hall in Welwyn Hatfield

It was a quiet early dinner during half term (Thursday) and we waited over an hour for our food. We had to chase it up several times to be told it's being made now. We only came as we had a voucher for a free kids meal from our energy company. When the food finally arrived it was very mediocre and my child's was burnt, so I had to send it back. We were offered a free round of drinks by the manager but by that time we just wanted to eat and leave asap, as we'd had to wait so long. We've had good meals here in the past, so I don't know what went wrong. Someone should've stepped in sooner to sort this rather than us having to keep asking where our food was. There was no urgency to resolve our wait time. It was only 2 main meals and a kids main meal, nothing complicated, no dietary changes, or special instructions. We were very disappointed and fed up.

Went there for an early birthday celebration with my dog and planned to eat outside. When ordering was told they don't do food outside we shared our concerns about bringing our boy in because he's only a puppy and we didn't trust him 100%. The staff were really accommodating and recommended a table in a quite area with a door near by so we could go out when needed. It was perfect!! The food was delicious, the service was superb and my little man got alot of cuddles and treats. Was a great experience. Highly recommend going here with your fury friend

Sunday roast lunches, lovely meal and plenty of it. A regular visit gir us.

A good local pub/restaurant with a varied menu including pub classics at competitive prices and some good offers if you sign up for the newsletter and are a regular. Friendly and efficient staff and daily meal, drinks and cocktail deals. Don't forget to register your car number for free parking. Failure to do so incurs a fine.

Not bad pub and can be quiet on Sunday evening. Never eaten here but pub keeps well kept real ales so recommend. Only downside is that they close 2200 on a Sunday

Attimore Hall was comfortable and the atmosphere was welcoming. The food took a while to arrive but was nice and good value with the 'half price mains' offer. Good choice of draft beer. (Could do with a draft cider drier than Stowford Press.)

The food offers are fantastic to get us out midweek to our local pub . It's a win win situation wife doesn't cook dinner and I get 3 pints long may this continue .

Although the food was nice and good value for money, one member of staff was incredibly rude. There was a mistake wth the food order, and one meal was not delivered. Rather than apologise, the staff member blamed it on us and refused to provide a refund. Extremely poor customer service - none of our party will return, and it spoiled our day!

What a fabulous evening at The Attimore! After an afternoon at the local pantomime, we once again decided to hold our family (16 people!!) Christmas meal at The Attimore! Jacqui and her wonderful team could not have been more friendly and welcoming! We arrived to find our table ready and waiting, with festive decorations and crackers! We had reserved the conservatory, which makes things a little more intimate but without being away from the atmosphere. We all had 3 delicious courses from the Christmas menu and everything was cooked and presented to perfection! 7 of us went for the traditional roast, the turkey was spot on!! The pie was gorgeous and the the blade of beef was like slicing into butter! (That comment came from one of our party who's very hard to please!!! 😂) All in all- an excellent evening which has kicked off our family celebrations in style! Well done Jacqui and gang- Tania, Sam, Jin and of course compliments to the chef! Looking forward to our next visit soon.

This is the 2nd year we have booked our Work Christmas Meal at The Attimore Hall. After a successful work Christmas meal last year, we booked again this year. The staff are extremely helpful, from the initial booking, confirming menus and on the night. Vicky was very helpful throughout the booking process, and on the night, and the other staff members on the night were cheery and helpful. There were plenty of menu options for all three courses. The meal was lovely and everyone commented that they had enjoyed the evening. Thank you for a great evening and wishing you all a great festive season!

interior is nice and cozy , cute lights now cuz christmas ! unfortunately the food wasn’t very nice since it was pretty burnt which was a shame as i paid nearly 20£ for it. but staff was nice and my drink was nice & cold.

Wow! yum seabass lovely meal with my dad and sister 🥰 ! Cant do another review but come again today for my dads birthday grilled seabass chickpea curry and stem broccoli was amazing highly recommend

Lovely pub with a nice garden. Has heaters and lights to sit out at night. Staff are great, friendly and a good laugh. Food is always good and a good selection of drinks. Great atmosphere here

Hunters chicken was excellent but the madri was better

The worst burger I had in my life ..small porcion.. Mcdonalds size burger, extremely dry and the meat taste like it was in the fridge for 14 days, before they serve me.. Service slow.. for this burger and Sunday roast we were waiting for 45 min. When I complain the girls didn't even bother to say sorry.. highly recommended to skip the food there.

Very experienced staff putting health and safety first . Someone at the brewery needs to sort out why the attimore pub hasn't got any real ales on, you've got all the pumps but only using two which are not very good beers . Please do something about or i shall go elsewhere in future. 16/03/2022 . Very nice staff and at last some decent real ale 🍺 beers. Well done to the great team at the Attimore pub restaurant.

This Ember Inns Hostelry offers excellent food representing great value for money and very friendly service. I always enjoy visiting this establishment when visiting Welwyn Garden City.

. Manager sent staff member out as I decided to finish off my leftover half a sandwich I had it my bag. WAS told the manager was FUMMING with me. It was a half eaten sandwich ffs! Won't be going back

It was very busy. Very large carpark but had problems trying to pay. Not happy to visit a resturant and have to put a time in and pay.

The reason I'm giving this a 3 star is because honestly the place looked like with one strong gust of wind the building would be a pile of rumble. It kinda reminded me of Ron weasleys house in Harry snotter... Just a jumble of extensions slapped on to the main building. Staff great food ok state of the building shocking.

Kicked me and my friend out for nothing, this one woman was awful to my friends, despite not doing anything at all, she was extremely cruel and aggressive to us, even when we were just ordering drinks, like as soon as we entered the building I felt annoyance towards us despite being a normal paying customer, and to top it off the prices are ridiculous

Service was always amazing and the atmosphere was great - but unfortunately the food wasn't great, my kids meal ( pizza) was still frozen in the middle and the tomato soup we had tasted like ketchup with water, so i wouldn't recommend ordering kids meals 😃

We visited Attimore it was busy lots of people at the bar the two bar staff Caitlin Jin did a superb job never flustered and were very polite and efficient serving people in the right order

This is our 2nd time visiting The Attimore and it is situated in pretty surroundings and has a nice warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are attentive and very friendly, I will say this is a wonderful place to come with the family or even for business lunches or for leisure. The food is very well presented on modern crockery. The dishes are plated to a level of an upper class eatery and yet the Attimore still holds on to its lovely casual British pub feel which I love so much especially with the high wooden beams on the ceiling and the oak tables. Overall, a wonderful and relaxing, experience and the food is very nice and fresh! We ordered our food and the meal was prepared quickly within 15mins which was perfect. I am pleased to also see that there are curry nights every Friday night after 5pm, I will be back for this for sure! Thank you to the lady behind the bar, she is always so welcoming and customer service is 5 star. Thank you to also the lady who was in charge of our order, she was so lovely too and again, excellent customer service. Thank you, we enjoyed our family lunch which we much needed during the Easter holidays 😊❤️

Use to visit here often for food as its so local and nice. The food has gone so down hill the last two times we ate here it was AWFUL and the staff were so rude about it very unhelpful the beefburger was black and solid .... garlic bread so burnt it was inedible to name just two problems among many! None of our family will eat there again

Decided, very last minute after sitting in bank holiday traffic, to have a meal and a few drinks at Attimore Hall. We arrived at around 6pm and as it was the Thursday before Good Friday - the bar was very busy. Lovely Mandy greeted us and advised us where to find a free table for 2. We ordered some drinks and then found a comfy table. We ordered our starters and mains at the bar. I had the crispy prawns and Hunter's chicken, husband had the soup and double classic burger with cheese. Even though the pub was absolutely packed- our food arrived swiftly. Great portions, delicious flavours and all cooked beautifully. So glad we popped in and look forward to our next time.

Clearly understaffed for bank holiday but we did not feel it, Kelly and the other ladies on the team working their socks off. Great service, portions and value

Having got 2 unspent dining out cards both myself and my wife decided to go out for a meal here on Sunday evening. Upon arrival we were asked where we would like to sit. A pleasant surprise as often you don't get this choice in most places. Having ordered the food it arrived quickly and hot. The 3 courses were well presented. Tables were clean and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. A great evening and atmosphere. Definitely going here again.

Lovely food, went for a light lunch with the wife. Both had ciabatta, one BLT and one crispy chicken, both with salad and chips. The ciabatta was very soft and chips pipin hot, the BLT was reaaally nice with a proper bit of bacon and the chicken had a tasted yummy, sweet but lightly spiced. People were friendly, just order at the bar and food is then brought over. Would definitely go back

Went for some drinks with friends, however bit confused how bar staff are allowed to wear crocs behind the bar and leggings seems a bit unprofessional, was pointed out by one of my friends, however service, food and drinks where lovely but one member of staff seemed to stand out from the rest considering the dress choice.

We have our family meal here every Christmas 🎄 Jackie and Graham make a wonderful team and the food was amazing. I had the turkey Christmas dinner and it was amazing! Roast potatoes was really good. 13 of us in our party and not one complaint. Staff as always extremely friendly and we all left full up and ready for our pjs. Merry Christmas to you all xx

Good place for drinks and food.

This visit was the 3rd year running we've booked our groups Christmas Lunch and once again, we were not disappointed. We all love the room you gave us, the service was impeccable and the food was delicious! We all chose from the Christmas menu. I'd like to thank all the staff for their hard work and excellent service. We'll see you next year.

Friendly service and not busy, just beers didn’t have any food.

Nice pub, great to be able to order by app. Food always sounds better than is. Beer battered mushrooms for example looked okay but no mushroom inside, overcooked I think, nachos were a bit soggy, but Chipotle chicken was really nice. Price reflects expectations as not expensive. All together, a Good selection of beers and a good atmosphere and will be back but selective on food.

I came here for a meal on Tuesday evening and was served by Harley who was wonderful and polite. She provided us with great service. I had the sausage and mash and my partner had the shepherd’s pie, both were fantastic, would definitely come again!

Busy Wednesday night and they managed to seat 6 of us for dinner without a booking even being short staffed. Meals came out quite quickly and food is always good pub grub!

Food looked and was so good I forgot to take a picture when the meal arrived. Steak was perfectly cooked and the sauce was so good. The sides are always tasty and the food was fresh. Cocktails were great to!
