The best restaurants serving British food in East of England

My friend and I could not find anywhere in the town centre for lunch and came across The Glass House by accident so decided to pop in. We were pleasantly surprised by the comfortable seating and privacy as we sat left of the door. Staff are polite and attentative. Food was freshly made, very reasonably priced and tasted fantastic!! A bottle of fizzy water cost £1.. Yes I know I was shocked too!! 2 x luxury panini, 3 huge slices of coffee & walnut cake, 1 slab of chocolate cake, pot of tea, hot chocolate and a 500ml bottle of fizzy water came to £18 Absolutely excellent place to eat and will be returning!! P.S we didn't eat all the cake, took some home for the boys

Been to this cafe before and have had great service and food, however today went in sat down waited 15 minutes with no staff attending to me they looked across and still no service so walked out.

We decided to try Sunday lunch here, they don't offer roast, but the menu even though small, was varied, I chose the homemade Chicken pie and my partner the Schnitzel, both were delicious! The service also great, staff friendly and very attentive.

Chose Oh Crumbs purely at random. Good choice - very tasty Cromer Crab sandwiches on brown. They have a serving hatch off the pavement a few yards from the River Burke bridge approach. Placed order through window, waited a few minutes then order arrived. Went and ate on a bench by the bird feeding area next to the bridge. Would recommend.

Such a find , delicious food with freshly cooked vegetables , the service is 100% too

AMAZING we went for afternoon tea and it was amazing. We got to choose our sandwich and cake option. Food and drinks were delicious. Staff were amazing throughout booking and the afternoon tea. Highly recommended

Overnight stay, evening meal and time in the bar. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here, we both had the best nights sleep ever, it was so peaceful and the bed so comfortable, room was excellent. The food was amazing and Mark and his team all looked after us so well, we will definitely book again when we’re next in the area.

After visiting friends in Wymondham, they suggested Janeys for lunch. My brother, sister and I had 2 Lincolnshire sausage casseroles and a cottage pie. The quantity is so generous but we all managed to finish it. Excellent food, can’t speak too highly of it. When we are next in Norfolk will hopefully visit again.

The Gallery restaurant is the showcase for the Catering and Hospitality Department at Stamford college. It is run be the students working for their NVQ level 2 and 3. We attended the Fine Dining evening in February. The food was of exceptional quality, with a well chosen menu, beautifully cooked and presented. The student working in the restaurant were very professional. It was an extremely busy evening, nobody got flustered and everyone worked well both individually and as a group. Congratulations and a big thank you to all the students and their tutors. Good luck for the future!

The best cafe in Norfolk. Lovely people. Wonderful food. If you don't like the menu then you need your head Read! Breakfast in a sandwich!

Had a Sunday roast which looked very nice, trouble was the only thing which was hot was the roast potatoes and the cauliflower cheese all the rest of the meal was almost cold ,we will not visit again

We stayed on the attached Campsite while attending a wedding locally. What a find this place was. Excellent campsite with facilities on pitches, very well kept by Mark. Site security was excellent. Cafe onsite offered variety of food including fantastic homemade cakes made by Helen. Throughly recommend this place to stay over or just visiting the Cafe. Good selection of plants as well.

Very poor experience nearly 1hr waiting for food and there was two other people in there. Food come up warm to cold. The sticky tables, VERY OVER PRICED
