What a superb pub enhanced by very friendly staff and delicious food. My wife and I enjoyed an amazing Sunday lunch. We arrived slightly early, so we sat in the bar in front of an open fire and had a drink talking to the regulars. We were called through to the restaurant where we enjoyed our lunch. The food was fresh and piping hot and plenty of it, and at a very reasonable price. Rebecca, Paul and their team were excellent. We will definitely be returning as soon as we can.

Very pleasant, welcoming pub with homemade cuisine with staff that was attentive, quick and never inconvenienced to help. The locals were nice and bantered with my son. Although the establishment front room was smaller, there were plenty of comfortable seating and a back room with more tables. The pub was clean, cute decor, and nice bathrooms. Definitely would visit again.

We visited The White Hart on our way to Bury St Edmunds with our three grandchildren for lunch on a Saturday. We sat in the courtyard as it was a nice day and the surroundings were very pleasant. There was a good choice on the menu and they were happy to do smaller portions in baskets for the children. The food was delicious, cooked to order and came out nice and hot and fresh. We all really enjoyed our food and the landlord was really friendly, and it was obvious he really cared about the place and enjoyed what he was doing. A lovely traditional English pub which are rare these days. Well worthy of 5 stars and we will definitely be returning.

We had pork or beef, roast potatoes, Yorkshire, green beans, peas, carrots, swede, and cauliflower cheese - a real plateful. You serve your own vegetables which I like. Desert we had was mango and mixed berry crumble served with custard or cream, it wasn't a combination I would put together but believe me, it was delicious. A Christmas work 'do' at the White Hart was my best eating-out experience of the year. As I don't eat gluten, meat or dairy my choices are always limited in restaurants. I don't have this problem at home as I cook lots of lovely food! However going out to eat is a complete nightmare. So last night was a breath of fresh air. The team at The White Hart went out of their way to ensure that I had a fantastic meal and even made me my own jug of gluten-free gravy. Nothing was too much trouble and I wasn't made to feel like I was being awkward or difficult which is so often the case elsewhere. They were very discreet in checking that everything I had was ok. The meal was absolutely delicious. Fantastic home-cooked food, top notch, attentive service and lovely, friendly staff. I can't recommend The White Hart enough.

We haven't eaten here in years! I believe the management may have changed since we last ate here. The owners are extremely nice and you can tell their priority is serving good food. The homemade ice creams were delicious. My salmon was cooked perfectly and the portion size was just right. We will be back to try their special order leg of lamb on a Sunday.

The meal was average - some of the beef tough and vegetables nondescript.Limited choice of dessert - Choc Cake or Ice-cream.Forgot to bring the coffee.Overall not up to your usual standard with meal and service very slow and not too friendly this time either.Don't want to go again.

Had an excellent meal in the white hart. The food was freshly cooked.the landlord and his family made us feel so welcome. They took time out to chat to us. The homemade ice cream was delicious. Several flavours to choose from. Would recommend for a nice evening meal. Excellent customer service.

Walked to the white hart for tea from the Mill. Although the menu was restricted, the food was good, with homemade ice creams for dessert. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, and the locals made us very welcome. the landlord and landlady chatted with us and couldn't have been more friendly.

Exactly what a country pub should be. Nice range of beers and the food was very good indeed. I will certainly return.

We have twice turned off the A11 after a grotty journey from Kent and had lunch at the White Haart. The landlord is very welcoming and the pub is lovely with a real fire. We had sandwiches the first time, and lunchtime pub grub the second time. Both were good value. There is also home made ice cream! The real draw is the lovely, friendly service. It's a good English pub with nice food and a friendly atmosphere.

Unfortuantly when we turned up at lunchtime on Friday this pub was closed. I had checked the hours on their Facebook page, but they appear to have changed for the winter. So we had a 5 mile walk back to the car; and were pleased we had packed a couple of Mars bars. I suppose I should have phoned to check! It seems unfair to give a poor rating just because it wasn't open, so I've marked a 4 in each category. I just hope someone will update the opening hours on Facebook!!

Found this pub on trip adviser. Good job I did, though there was a limited choice the menu was good. I had chicken and chorizo pie and my partner had red thai curry. Both home made and fantastic, but the star for me was the ice cream I would travel the 4 hour journey from home to have some because it was so delicious. If you are going maybe a good idea to phone and book so you are not dissapointed. Both mine hosts were lovely and welcoming.

We booked for a family lunch of 10 for our son's 30th birthday followed by bowling at Mr G's in Brandon. The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing (or 'banging' as our grandson said 😄). We were bowling after lunch, which was a bit delayed, but we were kept informed which was fine. Lots of fun bowling too. Well done Mr G's we all had a fantastic time 👏.
