After a tiring morning birdwatching at Snettisham, we were starving and wanted a hearty lunch. We really struggled to find anywhere open for lunch. Eventually we drove past this little place and decided to give it a go. Perfect. Just what we needed. Spotlessly clean, friendly service, happy atmosphere with regulars being treated like family. We had fabulous sausage and bacon butties, washed down with proper pots of tea, and accompanied by fabulous golden crinkle cut chips. Just the ticket. The brilliant 70s music playing on the radio added to the cheery vibe. Suitably replenished for a very reasonable price , we were soon on our way to look for the elusive Turtle Dove again! Many thanks, highly recommended for great British cafe food served with a smile.

We discovered this lovely little cafe when having a walk around the village, we had our dog with us, so I asked if we could take her in with us. Thankfully it was a yes. We had tea, scones and a hot chocolate. The lady bought a bowl of water for our dog. She asked if she was allowed a dog treat. We said yes. The next we went for breakfast, hubby had a bacon sandwich, it was so full he said it was delicious. I had a cheese and mushroom omelette, I can honestly say it’s the best omelette I have ever had, really light and fluffy. The staff are friendly, the environment clean and welcoming. I highly recommend this delightful cafe, we will come back next time we visit Heacham

My husband and I had a lovely cup of tea in the cafe..looked at the menu and decided to have a cheese and ham omelette and chips..which we asked to be cooked golden. We were not disappointed the meal arrived.. Well presented with a colourful salad. The chips were very crispy and golden..just how we like them. The omelette was very tasty and filling. The price was very reasonable. We will return. The cafe was very clean and tidy.

Lovely village cafe. A great place to have a hearty breakfast, lunch or just coffee and a chat. Stay as long as you like but don’t table block of course! Portions are very generous. Staff are really nice and the cafe is clean and feels safe. Good to know we can always pop down there for a chat at Chatterbox.

A great location if you're out and about in Heacham. We started with tea and ice creams at the local park, then decided to pop in for lunch. We called here as we were on holiday. We stayed for breakfast which was excellent, the food was good quality and good service by the lady who's shop it was. The food was hot and the price included tea. We then tried an afternoon tea, this was one of the nicest we have had. We asked to eat outside as it was a nice day, (food can be ordered as takeaway for groups or small events). We had 4 different fillings in the sandwiches, small cakes, scones then sausage rolls. Needless to say, we did not want any thing else to eat that day. Cafe was very clean and safe to use re COVID. Would recommend.

I went with my Folks last week and we were very pleased with our choice!!! The cafe was spotless, the staff were very friendly & helpful and the food was fantastic!!! We had a pot of tea each, which gave at least three cups, the sandwiches were excellent and my bacon & mushroom bap was superlative!! It was all locally sourced ingredients, the bacon was thickly cut and 3 rashers to the bap!! The young lady who served us was wearing a face shield and smiled all the time!! The toilet was also spotless. We will DEFINITELY be going again!!

We have been twice this week. The first time we had the small breakfast which anywhere else would be classed as a big breakfast. It was lovely. Today we had omelettes, one ham, one mushroom. They were lovely too, lots of mushrooms and ham. The service was great, always really cheerful and polite. Everything is clean and well presented. The toilet is cleaner than any restaurant or cafe toilet I have been in. All in all very impressed.

I hadn't been in here since the new owners took over, we used to go in there all the time for breakfast. Then obviously lockdown happened. So we thought we would try having a takeaway from here. We ordered breakfast rolls. We could choose whatever we wanted in them, I had bacon sausage and black pudding, it was delicious. The sausages were lovely, not cheap mushy sausages, they don't cut back on the filling either, it was bursting. We enjoyed it so much we went back this weekend and will probably be going next too!!!

This place beats many of the top named restaurants you might find in London but this is rural coastal Norfolk on a Tuesday night. An easy going small friendly family run restaurant with great staff, brilliant menu & decent priced wine list. This was one of the most memorable meals out in recent years from the bubbly beginning to the chocolate treats that came with coffee and inbetween were the Michelin star main courses.Ok the bill reflects the quality of the cooking and ingredients but for a special meal out The Neptune will take some beating.

The food arrived very quickly and was very tasty. Lovely fresh bread and good quality sausages, bacon and black pudding. We had considered going to the pub for lunch, but that would've cost a lot more than the £15.00 we paid in total at Chatterbox.

We would just like to say a huge 'Thank you' to all the staff who were involved with organizing the reception following our mother's funeral. The food was superb, varied and plentiful and tea and coffee was served all afternoon. The views were beautiful over the golf course and the seating was comfortable and spacious. We particularly liked the screen where we were able to show pictures from our mother's life. A special mention must go to Helen who discretely and professionally took care of us. Thank you. We highly recommend.

Not a great experience unfortunately . Ordered flat white which came as a regular coffee .. asked for poached eggs and got fried eggs . Most of the food was covered in oil and the sausage was pretty much burnt to a crisp. Beans were also cold. Please upgrade to proper butter as the margarine didn’t even melt into the toast. I left most of mine but husband ate his because he was hungry. Had to get to and find our own cutlery and condiments ! Wasn’t particularly cheap either at £10 a breakfast x Sorry for the review but hopefully you will see it as constructive criticism :) Lady serving was lovely but I think she was on her own and probably overwhelmed x

Dirty tables, staff who clearly had never worked behind a bar before, gin and tonic no lemon or lime, run out of branded glasses… really poor, come on it’s not that difficult!
