We called in one Saturday lunch time for some food. Great choice of menu, it was hard deciding what to eat as plenty of options. We finally opted for the pie and lasagne. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal. So much so we came back the next day for Sunday lunch. We hadn’t booked in on the Sunday, and fortunately there was a table free for us to eat. Again we loved the food. The pub has a lovely cosy feel, the staff friendly and attentive and proper home cooked food, I would happily recommend eating here.

Very busy despite only opening 5 mins before I arrived. I had the "small" breakfast which wasn't..... 1 bacon, 1 sausage, mushrooms, beans and plumb tomato. slice of toast and butter, mug of tea with milk. All for £8. Lady was welcoming guests on her own and providing drinks and breakfasts. I waited no longer than a couple of mins for tea and toast and then 5 mins for the breakfast. Would recommend highly. Everything cooked exactly to my liking. Piping hot. Will definitely be returning.

Had to come on here and leave a review after such a lovely experience. Myself, daughter & granddaughter went in for food and drinks before going to the nearby hotel for the night. The food was really nice with great portions. The service they gave was the main reason for my review today. They could not do enough to ensure we had everything we needed! Even offering to change the eggs if they were not to our liking! Well done ladies. Keep up the great customer service.

Unspoilt by progress, The Railway is the sort of pub any village would be proud of. Its position next to the parish church is quintessentially English. On entering, the pub felt cosy and we received a warm welcome from the landlord. On the bar were four real ales and the beer was in good condition. What else could you ask for? Well worth the journey.

I have been to Hyssop while it was on High Street West, and then under its new name and premises, Hyssop and the Hare on High Street East. We had the chef's choice menu on an early Friday evening. The food is outrageously well priced given the quality. The pork belly and cabbage in particular was some of the best food I've ever tasted. One of my party commented that it was better than the pork belly at the Hand and Flowers. I can well believe it. The focaccia was unparalleled. Dessert was a pleasingly large slab of deliciously balanced sticky toffee pudding. I prefer the cosy environment and atmosphere that is the new venue, to feel so relaxed while enjoying such high quality food makes for a wonderful experience. The vibes are immaculate. The house red is excellent and we enjoyed a round of superb martinis. The service is warm and friendly, Mia is a delight and really enhances your experience. The waiting staff were knowledgeable about the food and could readily answer questions about the dishes. There is a £20 pp deposit, which is unavoidable and understandable these days, as is the apparently strict enforcement. I am so glad that after the devastating fire Glossop gets to continue to enjoy such an extraordinary offering. I look forward to trying the Cosy Thursdays menu.

This is a small friendly hotel in a very nice location. We stayed just one night and will definitely return. The room was well appointed and our dinner and breakfast were exceptional. It’s rare to find food cooked with this level of creativity and skill in the UK. The sun was shining and we walked from the hotel onto the Monsal Trail. It’s a perfect base from which to explore the best of the Peak District. The Riverside team were fantastic and work very hard to make things perfect. Thank you for looking after us so well.

We visited the Paper Mill whilst staying in High Peak over the Easter break and wanted somewhere dog friendly for an evening meal. The setting is idyllic and the Paper Mill was busy, friendly and welcoming. We ordered a range of sides and pizzas and a selection of drinks and were not disappointed. Great food done really well! Thank you for a great evening!

Been going to Tracey’s for a little while now after I was looking for a traditional cafe in Nottingham and I must say, I’m impressed. The food here comes out in good time and is all made fresh, it is by no means anything fancy but it’s a wholesome environment that does a great breakfast. I will be back.

lovely little spot in Glossop! staff were lovely and the cocktails were amazing - best espresso martini I've ever had and I've order them everywhere I go!
