Popped into the cafe with my husband today. Both of us asked for sandwiches not on the menu - the waitress was so lovely, as was the chef, totally accommodated us. Sandwiches were delicious, generous portion and lovely ingredients. Sadly we had to rush off due to an appointment but will definitely be back!

Visited on a whim, however was pleasantly surprised! I had a latte which was perfect and they accustomed me to my needs when I asked it to be extra hot. I also had a tuna sandwich which was on thick-cut wholemeal bread and it was clear it had been made fresh and not prior. Staff were so friendly and welcoming, acted like we were old friends! Will definitely be returning soon, can't recommend more.

I visit this venue along with a couple of friends every two months. On previous occasions we have had a variety of food ranging from all day breakfasts, toasted sandwiches, jacket potatoes & home made cake all of which have been excellent.Unfortunately our last three visits have been somewhat less than successful !! On more than one occasion there have been instances where there has been a third world range of food namely hardly any !! Also I got the impression from staff that we were imposing & they really wanted us to leave.I am not sure if the staff have changed but they certainly do not seem as accomodating as they were during previous visits ! We had to leave very disappointed for the aforementioned reasons & ended up at another venue which although cheaper was certainly not as good !! I would have thought with the damage to businesses Covid has caused venues such as this would get their house in order,a very poor show !!! 😞

Went there with my daughter today for lunch. It was brilliant. We aren't local to Duston but saw the reviews on TripAdvisor so thought we'd try it. So glad we did! Food was generously portioned and really tasty - everyone was really friendly too. They also deliver afternoon tea (within travelling distance specified) at no extra charge so if you know anyone homebound this would make such a great present idea that I'm surprised that no one else has thought of it before... when my mum was alive this would have pleased her so much as she found getting out and about so very difficult.

We decided we wanted to stay local and pop out for a nibble but when we arrived we got tempted by the all day breakfast. It was very nice indeed, my only minor gripe is that I think there was margarine rather than butter on the toast. We also shared a plain scone with clotted cream and jam which was lovely, obviously not freshly baked but still nice. There was a nice atmosphere in the cafe, the prices are very reasonable and we'll definitely go back.I'm surprised they are only open until 3.

We visited this lovely tearoom for the first time with an elderly friend and found it a delight. Sarah was welcoming, helpful and friendly. The menu covered all tastes and appetites from all-day breakfasts to soup of the day. Our party had two freshly cooked cottage pies, homemade and piping hot with a jug of gravy on the side, and one soup, with a choice of bread, butter and croutons. The tea came in a large pot and gave us three cups each. On the way to pay we noticed the homemade chocolate orange cake and ginger cake so we had to try them! They were both deemed tasty, moreish and very fresh. The whole experience was lovely and the final bill very reasonable. We thoroughly recommend this little tea room and hope to visit again in the New Year. Having read some of the negative reviews I think that some people are being very over-critical, it is a tearoom not a pub restaurant and it does exactly what it says on the tin very well indeed.

Visited Number 50 tea rooms Main Road Duston for breakfast 26/01/19. (After reading good reviews maybe written by friends) Now let me explain about our visit we ordered two breakfasts 1 medium and 1 large and two coffees. The waitress took our order and then told us they have no sausages cooked but they could offer us a extra piece of toast. Toast !!!! to replace 3 sausages!!! well I'm not great at mathematics but I'm sure a slice of bread does not equal the costing of 3 sausages so we decided to except a side order of chips on the large breakfast. Well the side order of chips consisted of 9 yes you are reading this right 9 pathetic microwave chips !!!!! Also asking the waitress TWICE for the bacon to be well done . still came out of the kitchen under cooked.

A breakfast visit here. They have different sized breakfast plates for all appetites. We had the small and it came with egg (1), bacon (1), sausage(1), baked beans or tomatoes and a thick slice of toast. Nice selection of coffee and tea to accompany. My only issue, although the ketchup was delivered in a well known brand's bottle it definitely had that vinegary taste you associate with cheaper catering ketchups! Apart from that a nice breakfast in quaint surroundings,

let's start with there is nothing wrong with the cafe and the reviews about the staff are correct they are lively people. The cafe is in the centre of Euston night street in a quaint store / old house. This makes the cafe area pretty tight and the age of the building means the lighting / windows are of the era and not offering much of a view or sense of space. we like visiting different cafes and due to its popularity decided to give it a go (we prefer out of town cafes).

The large breakfast was huge and my Dad felt full just looking at it but managed it all and it was a steal at around £7! The breakfast bap was a good size with bacon, sausages mushrooms and a egg and was priced at around £4. I had the small breakfast and I have to say it was scrummy. The sausages were cooked perfectly and I don't usually like sausages in cafes as they can be fatty and grisly but these were just delicious. The toast was thick and fresh and it exceeded our expectations. We were greeted by a very friendly lady who took the time to talk to us and check we were happy with our food. The setting is very calming and welcoming. Overall our visit was lovely and we will definitely be returning to try out the cakes as they looked delicious.

I sat near the entrance to the kitchen and had no issues. I ordered a medium sized full breakfast and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived, a good size and nice to see quality bacon and sausage in particular. Too many places deliver cheap quality in this department. There was a pleasant ambience to the place with some low background music playing. Not sure on the history of the place, but the present owners have only been in business since January 2017. I wasn't going to write anything but after conversation's with others I think it would be best to review as I normally would. I'm a coeliac so I can't eat wheat, gluten or barley. This is not a fad diet choice this is an illness I have that can cause me serious problems. I asked the waitress if they did gluten free bread she went and asked the answer was no, I asked the same about the sausages again no. Now this isn't an issue most small buisness can't accommodate such requests especially when gluten free products cost so much more. But on my request of if I could swap the sausages for something else she went into the kitchen and the manager ( I assume ) came out and In front of the other four customers demanded I tell him what is gluten free is all about while standing over me with his arms crossed ( I found this very intimidating). I was completely mortified and embrassed. I tried to explain but he walked of. I then pulled the website up to show him on my phone to explain it's an illness and his reply was maybe I'll read it later and walked off. The waitress then bought my food out and made a song and dance of if I need anything. By this point I was so upset I was crying. I didn't even get to try the breakfast. It did look delicious but I was so embrassed I couldn't sit there. I left the money of £6.50 for breakfast and a £1 tip for the waitress and left. I hadn't even drank my tea. It's such a shame as I had been there many times under the previous owner and was never made to feel uncomfortable about my condition. I just hope that they went home today and noticed that the behaviour they showed was awful. It's not even about the customer being right. It's about understanding that people have allergies and different requests and as a owner of a small local cafe you would do better to be understanding not judgemental especially when you really don't understand. I will say though that what's was on the plate did look great so hopefully if you don't have health issues I think you would get a good breakfast.

We visited last Sunday early afternoon and had breakfasts. We very greeted warmly by the staff and although they were quite busy our food arrived quickly. Nothing seemed like to much trouble for the staff and the food was excellent particularly the sausages. Not just a run of the mill cafe. Very impressed and will definitely return.

I have been a few times now. The server is very friendly and the breakfasts are cooked to order. You have to be prepared for a wait though. The cakes, however, seem a little hit and miss and not much variety. I had a delicious chocolate cake recently but I have also had what looked like a victoria sponge which was very dry and tasteless. I shall return again, but might just stick to the all day breakfast

This was my second visit inside 2 months. The first was when I had time to kill before an opticians appointment one Saturday in February; so I bought a paper at a nearby newsagents and went for a mug of tea. The second visit was with my parents one Wednesday lunch time on a beautiful spring day (shame there wasn't outside seating). Between us we had the All Day Breakfast, Jacket Potato with tuna and Tuna and Sweetcorn sandwich. All were freshly cooked to order and served with a friendly welcome. Impressed that my coffee was just a good old Nescafe so no dilemma whether to have Flat White, Latte, Cappuccino or Americano. It was so good I even rounded my meal off with a second mug!

We've visited the number 50 cafe twice so far in 2017 and had lovely cooked breakfasts on both occasions. The food was fresh and the quality of the ingredients are higher than elsewhere. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful and we'll certainly continue to visit on a regular basis. Highly recommended.

Couldn't ask for more from a tea room/cafe. Would say that they use a higher level of ingredients than others. Great lunch, great staff and very friendly atmosphere.

A great place to meet up with friends, the coffee and cake is the best. The woman who runs it is very helpful and could not be more helpful.

Visited this afternoon (Saturday 18/02/2017) as we live local and have walked past numerous times.I have to say that the carrot cake is by far the best carrot cake I have ever had. So tasty. So most. Absolutely beautiful.Very child friendly. Our little boy loved his gingerbread man and loved being able to personalise it.Little cafes like this are few and far between and we are very lucky to have this so close to our home. The menu looks great and I need to go back for the large breakfast.Very cosy. Great value. Friendly staff. Please keep up the good work and the 3 of us will be back.Thank you

This coffee house has a lovely atmosphere to it. With careful lighting and artwork displayed it has a sophisticated feel. The staff are helpful, patient and understanding. Meals are well presented and balanced and I got two and a half cups of tea out of the pot, so very good for value.

Actually a lot better than just alright. Very good food indeed and pleasant service in relaxing suroundings. Varied menu, something for all tastes I should think and reasonable prices. Highly recommended. This won't be the "last" time we shall be visiting. (Sorry for the puns!)

Have eaten here many times and it remains one of my favourite restaurants in Northampton. Staff are always very friendly and attentive. Love the range and quality of food. Their onion bhaji scotch egg is a stand-out dish!
