Unbelievable, inflexible jobsworthism means lost customers. We ordered scrambled eggs on toast at 12 noon on the dot - the cut-off point for breakfast. 'No', we were told - despite eggs, bacon, sausage etc being available on all - day menu items. There was no queue, we were the only people at the counter. So we cancelled the whole order and went to Bunty's Tea Room nnearby. What a shame - a proactive flexible approach would have avoided this negative experience

Visited today on a packed Mother's day breakfast, the staff were working so hard, it was clean, the food was constantly restocked. Everyone had a smile on their face. Thanks for everything, special mention to Elise, Louise, Kriste and Martine you are a great team.

We had a family Sunday Lunch at The Vines We all really enjoyed it The roast beef was very good and plenty of it we only had 2 roast potatoes each so we asked for some more which we paid extra for but they were worth it Three of us had the Cherry Bakewell Eclair with Almond ice cream which was really lovely and nice to have something different for dessert The staff were very helpful and friendly

Afternoon tea disappointment. Terrible service throughout our afternoon. It was meant to be special occasion for us , unfortunately it was ruined by waiting staff who couldn't care less. Every time we wanted to order something my husband had to get up go to the bar and ask. We waited for 30 min sitting at our table and nobody came in to take our order . Shocking behavior for such a lovely place. Food was good but really do not recommend this place .We expected something really nice ( even McDonald's will bring you food to the table ) .

My friends and I hired the orangery for a bridal shower afternoon tea. The team were incredible both via email in the lead up to the day and on the day itself. It could not have gone smoother and it is a day that I’ll remember forever thanks to the wonderful team that were a part of it - special thanks to Polly and Emma! P.S - the egg and cress sandwiches are a high that I’ll be chasing for quite some time. Absolute perfection.

Been before, had a takeaway. Was quite nice. Decided to take my partner and 6 month old baby for lunch. Got there at 1pm on a Saturday, the place is open serving people. For us to be turned around and told us the kitchen is closed but coffee is still being served. Turned down another customer behind us with the same answer. I would have thought a little coffee shop would have open arm invited us for food too if we wanted. 2x customers with a possibility of spending what £20 each? So because they couldn’t be arsed to cook some food they lost £40 of business! Yet they sit there with outdated decor and quite a dull appearance. Get some effort put in jeez!

Hadn't booked for a Saturday lunch but the manager still found us a table almost instantly. Happy to accommodate the dog, the servers were all smiley and friendly, their service was fantastic, the food was excellent (cheese soufflé 👌) and a lovely walk afterwards. Go, you won't regret it
