Plotters Table in Kettering

Been before, had a takeaway. Was quite nice. Decided to take my partner and 6 month old baby for lunch. Got there at 1pm on a Saturday, the place is open serving people. For us to be turned around and told us the kitchen is closed but coffee is still being served. Turned down another customer behind us with the same answer. I would have thought a little coffee shop would have open arm invited us for food too if we wanted. 2x customers with a possibility of spending what £20 each? So because they couldn’t be arsed to cook some food they lost £40 of business! Yet they sit there with outdated decor and quite a dull appearance. Get some effort put in jeez!

Great breakfast, good choice, friendly service and central setting opposite free parking in Rothwell market place. Also hearty traditional dishes for lunch.

Friendly service, simple menu, all food well-cooked, reasonably priced. You'd struggle to do better for an excellent breakfast in Rothwell.

Good food, clean and friendly. Basic menu for cafe food but what you get is good value for money food. No frills good grills. All day breakfast recommended.

Nice to site outside when you get the weather but just as nice inside. Bacon roll and mug of coffee just the job when you need a boost. Lovely local friendly staff.

Stopped in for late lunch to break a journey. Had one of the tastiest Lasagne I've had for a long time and good sized portion will definitely be back if in the area

I really dont know why people have said anything else. Maybe they are stressed or having a bad day- definitely nit picking. I have come here for a decade now and have brought friends family and children here. never have i had any cause to complain. These hard working people deserve all the praise possible. Clean fresh place, friendly staff, excellent food. What more can you want?!

I used to be a regular at the Plotters for breakfast. Service and food was always very good and I always considered it the best place for a breakfast in Rothwell. Since the change of management a few months ago, while the menu remains unchanged there's definitely something missing, and the service was not so good. I hope it's teething problems and things will change over the coming months. In the meantime, my rating has dropped accordingly.

I visited plotters table to have a full English breakfast and was not disappointed. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The decor has recently been updated by its new owner and is fresh and inviting. The food was served promptly and was piping hot. This establishment is well worth a visit!

Having recently been taken over,by the new owner Dianne is certainly putting her mark on it with the start of her make over of the Cafe...The food and service are as good as always with their Breakfast being a hit with the locals ,local workmen and passing trade..Their " Take Out " service is popular to.

Best cooked breakfast in ages and such friendly staff. Arrived early for a meeting at the methodist church so popped in and was so glad we did. Hubby's hot chocolate was the best he's ever had. Quick service. Clean and tidy. Will back yo try the coconut squares which looked gorgeous if ever in the area.

Rude, obnoxious boss/owner!!! Rudely declined "NO SWAPS" to discount sausages from the cost of a breakfast. I politely asked if I could have the XL breakfast £7.50 without sausages, anything would've been satisfactory ie: sausage price deducted, free coffee etc. I was met by a rude obnoxious owner and/or cafe owner statin "No swaps". To be honest if I'm paying £7.50 for the breakfast, and £ 1.60 for a cup of instant coffee totally £9.10- I would expect a better standard of customer service and a boss/owner wirhout the bad attitude. Stay clear is my advice!!!

Place untidy tables full of dirty pots. Milkshake container cracked then sticky milkshake on table no spoon to stir tea. Cup full of teatowel fluff. No sauces offered with toastie. Was busy but had better experience before. What's happened

Have eaten here many times, cheap and very cheerful very good value at the prices charged. there is a wide range of breakfasts, lunches and snacks on offer.

I have been in Rothwell for 9 years and the plotters has become the perfect place for meeting friends, treating the kids or just a moment alone. The menu is everything from afresh ssandwich to a generous scampy and chips. The staff are very friendly and you never have to wait long making a quick visit easy. She does take sways for those at work and is flexible when needed. This has been our favourite despite trying all the others in town which are also very good but different. My daughter has enjoyed many milkshakes with a snack or shared a meal over lunch and we have never been disappointed

Cafe is well stocked, very clean and staff always happy to please. Good English food served at a reasonable prices in bright surroundings.

Plotters Table organised the food for my late mothers' funeral [as she specified Plotters Table] and it was certainly an excellent choice.We are 50% vegetarians and for this was well catered, with plenty of good quality food & nibbles & endless tea and coffee for an extemely reasonable price.Would certainly recommend.

Went here with friends a few weeks ago and had a lovely lunch, the only criticism we could think of was that the price of a can of drink doesn't reflect the cheap price of their food! Other cafes are much cheaper, the food was cooked well and was delivered quickly by a lovely waitress, would visit again!

Lovely little cafe, good for the money and no big complaints. One small factor I would mention- the Mayo (although in sachets) is really not very nice. A real Heinz Mayo would be much better and really make my meal nicer. But overall lovely and definitely will visit again!

Popped in with my youngest daughter for a milkshake and cake as a treat on her birthday morning. Lovely friendly staff, delicious looking cakes and freshly made milkshakes in a relaxed setting. Will be back to try more food as the sign outside always advertised great sounding mains!

I have been going here for some years all staff are friendly and the food is very good. A large group (12) used to go there and they would open up early for us. The only thing I dislike is the teapots as they pour funny.

For a great breakfast, or a lunchtime snack, Plotters Table is the best place to eat in Rothwell. I have used this place on many occasions, and never had cause to complain. What you get is good honest food at a fair price, with a bit of banter thrown in for good measure.

I have been to the Plotters Table on several occasions. It's a great little cafe (in my opinion the best) in the heart of Rothwell and you can always expect a warm, friendly welcome from owner Renette and her staff.The food available is your obligatory traditional breakfast (served all day), together with popular classics such as fish, pasty, cottage pie, burgers, baguettes/sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes etc. which are always served piping hot. Good selection of drinks, including milkshakes that go down well with the kids. Prices are very reasonable, and definitely competitive against the other cafe style establishments in the town.Added bonus when eating here is knowledge the Plotters Table has a 5 star food/hygiene rating (proudly displayed on its front door), and is one of only a couple of eateries in the town who have this. When you sit down and look around, coupled with the efficiency of the staff cleaning up after people have finished, you can understand why. If in the area and you want a great breakfast or a quick, traditional bite to eat, then this is the place for you.
