The best restaurants serving British food in East Midlands

It’s been a little while since we last visited so it was reassuring to find out it’s as good as ever. Typical pub menu but great food and friendly staff. Place is spotless.

The title says it all, this place has always been a tad rough. Louth has lots of better pubs. Try the Masons Arms.

Tuesday night is burger night …. Lovely evening dropped by for a drink in the beer garden and stayed on for a bite to eat . If you like a good burger you won’t be disappointed… I had the chicken with sriracha mayo it was really delicious came with a side of chips to die for .

We stumbled across this gorgeous little cafe when our intended cafe was too full to accommodate us. It’s lovely, I liked the interiors and the staff were friendly. My coffee was lovely (although a little hotter than I’m used to). I had the Cherry Bakewell cake and that was lovely, full of flavour and very sweet, gluten free too if I remember rightly. Cute little find.

First visit for a little while, but as good as ever. It is quite a small tea room so booking is essential. My friend and I had ploughman's, which was excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. Only negative is that the loo could do with some tlc, but it was clean.

Have had a couple of lovely lunches here . Excellent prices friendly staff , what more could you ask for. Bar is cosy if you just pop in for a drink .

My roast dinner was absolutely delicious. My daughter had sausage and chips from the child's menu, which was eagerly wolfed down. Both were perfect for a lazy Sunday when I couldn't be bothered to cook.

Looking for somewhere different for breakfast, and we were not disappointed. A little gem of a place, even though it’s the most expensive breakfast we’ve had. We go out every Saturday and have usually paid around £10, coffee was good. Food came very quickly, and staff were very efficient and very friendly. Will try coffee and cake on our next visit.

It's a lively pub where the banter amongst family and friends makes for a bouncing atmosphere, the restaurant bit is quieter , the food is good and the service as friendly as you'll get anywhere.

The food here is 💯 better than the ship in Skegness, every one is made welcome staff are really nice and friendly for is freshly cooked

Fantastic food , called in on a midweek March evening - lovely atmosphere, bar lady Tracey was very welcoming and friendly. Coal/wood fire lit so pub nice and warm , a few other customers but not too busy. Good menu and specials board. Food was delicious . From specials board - trio of sausages and mash, chicken Veronique - absolutely delicious. Will Definitely return when in area .

Went here with family after hearing great reviews. Not disappointed. I think calling it a cafe does it a disservice lol. I’ve had worse food in top class restaurants! Good choice of menu on all 3 courses offered. Between the 3 of us we had the battered cod, sea bream and the fondant pudding. All absolutely beautiful. Sourdough bread and butter on the table and you’re able to buy loaves to take away Excellent service from friendly staff and spotlessly clean. Can’t wait to go again

Volunteers that run it are very helpful and knowledgeable about the mill. Went for mothers day lunch and food was wonderful. Cafe and shop is good value.

We stopped here when travelling back home from a break away. We were served promptly, food was great. Ours boys wanted "Iron Man' soup :-) (red pepper and tomato) which they really enjoyed. Staff friendly. Thanks, we'll be back when back in the area again! Definitely recommend. 👍🏻
