The best restaurants in East Midlands

We didn’t eat in we had a delivery it was disgusting my nan bread was swimming in grease ,the chips was vile the chicken was raw never again will I go there again £20.00 chucked down the drain ,it was horrible

A delicious full breakfast and smashed avocado with feta and poached egg. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Went above and beyond for a special birthday breakfast too. Can highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ thank you

We had the best ever breakfast in a long time this morning, with steaming hot coffee, as I like it. Served by very friendly staff, we will certainly go there again very soon

The Farmhouse Kitchen is not the sort of place that will attract much casual passing trade; it is beautifully situated in a remote spot, a few miles west of Middleton in Teesdale, on a dead end road so, other than a few walkers looking for refreshments, the only clientele will be people who know it is there, and who are prepared to travel to it. Don’t let any of this put you off though, the meals are excellent and the portions generous. Sunday Lunch is strictly pre booking only, and choice limited to roast of the day, plus a vegetarian option. All food is home cooked, freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. Our roast beef came with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, boiled potatoes, carrots, cabbage and swede, followed by home made apple crumble and filter coffee or tea. For those who have not booked, or who do not want a traditional roast dinner, there is the choice of All Day Breakfast, or various options of pies, chips, gammon, sausages, chips and sandwiches, cakes etc. The service is friendly and efficient, and the location, in a converted farm building, is very comfortable and welcoming, situated in a very pretty valley with open views of fields and hills all around. We will be back soon! 2 things to bear in mind though: the opening times are limited to Saturday and Sunday only, Easter to October, and they do not accept card payment, which could be a problem when the nearest cash machine is 1/2 an hours drive away!

Mill House tea rooms all ready have a large following on face book. New to the Castle but didn't disappoint, the attention to detail and service was very good. Beautiful music by a local gentleman added to the ambiance which was lovely , and provided on the day we went. Really impressed with the tea, sandwiches and huge variety of cakes! You will not be disappointed.

The food is delicious and expertly made. You can watch the team creating the yummy treats whilst you're there. The coffee is gorgeous and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. They can't do enough to help. Plenty of room for prams, and excellent baby changing facilities. Always a lovely treat to visit.

Mucky's trailer was at Kirk Hallam Social Club for a Motown event. We had 3 Jumbo hot dogs with caramelised onions - they were SENSATIONAL!

Fantastic value for money and tasty homemade food. My student and I have enjoyed visiting the cafe and are back for a 2nd time.

Sandra’s Kitchen is a hidden Gem in Boston. Blink and you might miss it! From appearances, it looks like a café you could just walk by. Even step inside you may wonder? Never mind the TV on a Portuguese channel, or how few people inside. Sandra’s cooking is amazing beyond what you can imagine for the value and cheap prices on the menu. She’s Portuguese and it’s Portugues cuisine. But order any steak and it’ll be cooked exactly as you might hope. The seafood is also excellent. The food is all fresh and freshly cooked. while you wait, and you expect to be very pleasantly surprised not just in taste by portion and price far too cheap! I don’t know how she does it. I’m American, but been in England 30 years. I’m quite critical when it comes to steaks, especially in the UK! But the best T-bone steak I ever had was in this restaurant, and it was huge! I was shocked it was fraction of the price anywhere else! I’ve paid 2- 3 times as much in fine restaurants and been very disappointed, not here. so if you wanna incredible meal and amazing price and don’t need a fancy restaurant to eat in, then this is the place you must try in Boston!

Friendly staff great atmosphere, amazing food and coffee, 5* recommendation. Clean, comfortable, love the booths and decor. Can see a successful chain in major cities in future.

Es justo decir que no es elegante. Tuve un pastel de té tostado y una olla de té, estaba delicioso. El té era encantador y fuerte y suficiente té para 3 tazas. La torta de té se tostó perfectamente y de nuevo encantador y caliente. Y... recibí mis cubiertos antes de que me presentaran mi comida. Tan a menudo en estos días los cubiertos son un pensamiento posterior, el precio era muy bueno también, poco más de £ 3. El servicio fue eficiente y amable.

As sushi lovers me and my daughter have always been looking for good sushi in our local area. How did I not know this place even existed in Worksop, and that it was right on our doorstep?! OML we now order this most weeks and we love our sushi nights again. We always order 4 mini maki sets of 8 and a tub of seaweed salad. Everything looks and tastes amazing and is so fresh! It travels well for home delivery and the customer service is good. The complimentary chopsticks and extras make this so authentic! ...although when asked, the lady on the phone was happy to ommit the Soy sauce (too strong for our tastes), the wasabi and the Pickled ginger (we just don't like them). Instead, we received extra sweet chilli mayonnaise instead. We love Always Sushi and would recommend giving the food a try as soon as you can! :)

Fantastic meal, the best dinner my wife and I have had in northampton, ever. Great setting, waitress was excellent, the quality of the food was just fabulous and great value for money, thank you chef, wish we had found this place before now. We will absolutely be coming back, and very soon, we'll done 10/10

I popped by here at the end of my working day as I was too tired to cook so I thought I'd treat myself to dinner. When I saw the prices, I was a little wary that it would be more 'quick meal' as it is very inexpensive. I went for the plant burger and a portion of fries. Portion sizes are huge, and everything was so full of flavour! A perfect full-sized meal with gorgeous presentation. I wish I'd taken a photo - they need their food showing off! It looked great! Packaging secure and keeps it all warm too. Customer service was lovely! Can sometimes be awkward when waiting at counters, but not here - the Portuguese chef made natural conversation and we had a lovely chat. I will absolutely be back and telling everyone about it!
