We stopped in for a Sunday roast and are so glad we did. The welcome we received was professional, yet relaxed and friendly. The atmosphere is spot on, and the food was something else. We all opted for the roasted beef, and it did not disappoint. We will definitely be back, that's for sure. If I were to suggest anything to the venue, it would be to provide steak knives with the beef, just to make cutting the medium-rare meat that much easier. But we still loved everything and can't wait to go back.

Really enjoyed it! Brilliant food that was great for everyone, ie my nan got a nice bit of sea bass whilst my boyfriend could have a burger. I loved how the food was amazing quality but there were still traditional pub options. My only complaint were some of the staff were really quite young and didn’t understand what a white wine spritzer was, so we had a bottle of lemonade come over and then when we explained it was meant to be soda, we for a half pint of soda with ice and lemon. From then one we really specified what we wanted but just hints that some more training could be beneficial to keep the service as good as the food.

Service was great, really attentive. Food was exceptionally good, especially the ham hock terrine! We devoured the Sunday roast, which was the tastiest Sunday roast I’ve ever had (along with the best Yorkshire pudding I’ve ever had the pleasure of trying). We ordered all of the three desserts, all amazing dishes and the rhubarb was my favourite. Props and kudos to the chef, Adam!

A lovely atmosphere sadly the food did not live up to expectations. Maybe not fair to judge a Sunday lunch when you arrive after 2pm but they took the reservations. Excellent staff very professional and attentive. All the meats were over cooked and dry having said that the veggie’s were excellent they need work on the Yorkshire pudding they were dry and hollow no flavour or texture. I assume this was a one off because the place was packed and just had that air of excellence about it. An excellent wine list very well priced..

I absolutely love the Grainstore. Food impeccable lovely atmosphere. However, I booked a table for Sunday lunch on Sunday 23 rd March. I was in the Grainstore on Friday and said to the staff see you Sunday !! We arrive for our Sunday roast to find the doors locked! More customers stood outside!!! A lady opens the door and says sorry we are closed for a private function!!!! Not impressed why take my booking? No information stating it was closed on Friday regarding Sunday… this is very poor . So disappointed

We have had take away here and sat inside. The portion for take away are HUGE, upstairs a bit cramped but it doesn’t stop you enjoying the food, we had small fish and chips and it was more than enough. Lovely chunky fish. Staff very busy and friendly.
