Small menu but everything we had was very very good. And reasonably priced. And a lovely spot looking over the lawn. What’s not to like

What a find! We had just finished a disappointing lunch elsewhere and wanted to find somewhere else for a coffee, we stumbled upon the Buttonhole and how pleased we were! A beautiful spot with lovely grounds, farm animals strolling around and a gorgeous outside spot to sit and enjoy the picturesque location. Coffees were great and service was brilliant, friendly, warm and very helpful. The best thing of all though were the cakes. OH MY GOD! All homemade cakes including the jam for the Scones and Victoria sponge, everything was absolutely delicious (was very tempted to buy the entire cake and eat it on the drive home). If you're nearby, maybe having spent a day at Rutland Water, the Buttonhole is worth a stop. We will most certainly be back.

Lovely food, really friendly staff and such a nice place to sit and enjoy your food and have a drink. We camp at Wing Hall every year and always have a pleasant experience at the campsite and at the restaurant.

Informal daytime dining and evening drinks in the beautiful grounds of Wing Hall - friendly knowledgable staff and a hero kitchen (temperatures this weekend were +40 degrees!) cheerfully served up beautifully spiced Shaksuka, full English breakfasts, vegan sausage rolls, toasties and a mouth watering selection of cakes and cookies for that most British of institutions - afternoon tea. Go - now - and enjoy great food and the hissing of summer lawns . And please please add a video option to TripAdvisor reviews

Wow, were we pleasantly surprised. To dine out and have some dishes so well cooked with such imaginative ingredients is difficult to find. We found it at the Buttonhole

Just finished an amazing weekend at Winghall and the food at The Button Hole was definitely the highlight. The quality of each dish was superb and the staff were attentive without being intrusive. We had 23 dishes between the 5 of us and didn’t regret one bit!

Onsite cafe/bar at campsite made up of 4 fields. Lovely location with beautiful views of the surrounding fields & countryside. Sat outside. Placed our order & paid inside. Very polite & friendly staff. Enjoyed a wonderful breakfast of (posh) scrambled egg on toast whilst hubby enjoyed a full (posh) English breakfast. Don't mind paying for quality & both were superb!

Had breakfast here. Awesome location in Wing Hall with plenty of outdoor seating on the terrace overlooking rolling Rutland landscape. Menu was very modern and the taste of our dishes was exceptional. Also a good choice for veggies. Service was friendly and “nothing too much trouble” style.
