Delicious food for all the family and a super relaxed and comfortable restaurant. We really enjoyed our visit and can’t wait to return!

A well stocked community shop with wide range of food and household essentials. Run by local volunteers. Also a cafe where you can have scones, cakes and drinks. Cheese and fruit scones were delicious, accompanied by hot drinks. Good value for money Seating both inside and out with easy access from the car park. One small step to go into cafe.

Stumbled across this Japanese restaurant when we were wandering around Oakham. It took us by surprise, the food was absolutely delicious. I've eaten a fair amount of Japanese food and this was one of the best. A little gem.

This is a wonderful cafe and well worth a visit, even if you’re not staying at the campsite. The food was great, freshly prepared for a range of options for different diets/needs. They also adapted items for our children. Very reasonably priced given the quality of food, service was fantastic. A really nice evening sitting out in the garden of the house. Also, a cat came to visit us, which was nice.

I can't recommend the Hare and Hog enough, excellent speciality coffee, wonderful food made with award winning cured meats made on site, special evening events, and free parking, what more could you ask for! A real hidden gem of Oakham, and one of the few places open in the area on a monday.

This was a great place to stop for Sunday lunch whilst staying in the area. All the staff were extremely welcoming and attentive and the food was delicious

A hidden gem and a brilliant addition to Oakham. The menu is really imaginative and offers a great variety of dishes. Food is good value and utterly delicious. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

A wonderful experience from start to finish. Excellent food, beautifully spiced and well presented. Food is well fairly priced for the portion and quality received. All staff were very attentive and friendly, always topping up water and ultimately always on hand to help. I really can’t find fault or criticism.

We visited for dinner on a Tuesday evening, and testament to this restaurant that every table was taken! From the minute we arrived everything was amazing, a warm welcome, friendly and super efficient service all evening, real attention to detail, and delicious food and wine. This restaurant really knows what it's doing, and believe me, all those little touches did not go unnoticed, and are often sadly missing elsewhere. Highly recommend, we will be back!

Amazing food, friendly staff and good coffee. Quaint small space but didn’t feel cramped. Unfortunately I didn’t get a photo of my food so I’ll have to come back.
