Loved the wait staff and there was good food

There was a longish wait for for our food, but it was worth it as the food was excellent.

The food is good, fair portions, atmosphere is nice, service is good, enjoyed the dinner.

Lovely decor and attentive staff. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. Highly recommended, There was even a pani puri as a starter, which is unusual to find in a restaurant. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.

This is my 2nd time here now, and the food really is amazing. Freshly cooked and delicious. All the staff are very pleasant, polite and not trying to rush you to finish. A very relaxed atmosphere. We will be back again.

Jashir has never handed me a bad dish, the food is always quick and tastes amazing definitely recommend.

Delicious food, and better than we were expecting - portion sizes ideal for us. Very friendly service but a little bit slow with the menus, and as it was very busy so food took slightly longer than expected, but that wasn’t a problem as it’s a lovely restaurant.

An all round decent restaurant, excellent food, attentive staff and a really nice premises. We were looked after by the wonderful Drew Patel and Rashni and thoroughly enjoyed it. We’ve often had a take away from here but dined in on this occasion. Will definitely be back.

The lady serving us was excellent and it was super to see the chef coming out and greeting people and ensuring they are enjoying their meals. 10/10. We live an hour away but we’ll be back!!!

Absolutely cannot put into words how good this place is and Rashni was an absolute delight, extremely helpful and the staff were fantastic! The food was some of the best we've eaten, and the atmosphere was perfect.

The best restaurant experience I’ve ever had!!! Everything about this restaurant was INCREDIBLE! The food was quality, the music was great, and the service was just absolutely amazing. The place was clean and overall it has a lovely atmosphere. Definitely a place I want to come back to!!

Food was plentiful and delicious

Horrible service! We placed an order on Just Eat at 5pm for a take away at 8:10pm - nothing turned up and just eat said order has been satisfied. We called them to find out they are not doing our order and have "cancelled" it their end and tried to ring us - we had our phone with us all night and this is not true. Then the manager put the phone down on us. We are just shocked that a business in Oakham which we have supported many times has spoken to us like this and cancelled our food on New Years Eve ruining our plans. We are starving and won't be using this business again.

I had an exceptional dining experience here! From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with decor that set the perfect mood for an Indian meal. The staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations based on my preferences. The food was absolutely divine—each dish was bursting with flavor and expertly spiced. The mixed grill was a standout, rich and aromatic, with just the right balance of heat and depth. The naan was perfectly fluffy, and both were delightful with its complex flavors and tender meat. What really impressed me was the attention to detail in every aspect, from the quality of the ingredients to the presentation. You can tell they use fresh, high-quality spices and cook with real care. For dessert, the ferrero rocher was the perfect sweet ending to an already memorable meal. I can’t recommend this place enough! Whether you’re a connoisseur of Indian cuisine or a newcomer, this place is an absolute must-visit. I will definitely be returning soon!

Average. Had a Paneer Malaiki and Gajar Hulva for dessert. Half decent food but I’ve had better. Ambience was lovely but people who serve just mutter when they talk, the Thali’s were all unavailable on the menu. A disappointment. They should have had a desperate sheet detailing this, also no Thali vegetarian option. That’s really odd. Service was ok, a bit cold, had to ask lots of questions to understand what food was being ordered. One should be presented with Menu’s upon arrival, this is the only Indian restaurant I’ve eaten at in my life where there is no Indian Masala chai or a vegetarian Tahli selection. Bhindi and the paneer dish were fairly oily st the bottom. Lots of water and oil. Come on, please get this right. It’s not that difficult. Other cheaper restaurants offer better food. Overall a very average experience. Graduaity was added on, when making payment the server stayed quiet. Didn’t mention it was an option. Overall, il not really impressed with this place.

What a great meal. Service was excellent, attentive and timely. The food was so tasty, and plenty of it. The chef even adjusted my wife's ingredients to her requirements. The pricing was, I think, spot on the money. Comparison between here and a similar venue in my own village comes out as identical, and was worth every penny. Definitely happy to recommend and I will be heading back here next time we are in the area. Well done guys and thank you for a lovely meal.

Some good dishes, some not-so-good dishes! Palak paneer was not bad, same with the dahi puri, butter chicken was not butter chicken but chicken korma with red food colouring! Mixed grill was ok, dal makhani was dal but not makhani! Good mango lassi. Service was friendly but on the slow side.

Honestly has to be the best Indian Restaurant I've eaten in. Excellent friendly service and absolutely top quality food. My wife was born and lived in India for many years and she absolutely loves this Restaurant. Really worth a visit.

We visited Jashir today for a family lunch and to have the Thali. Absolutely fantastic. Amazing flavours and value as well as such great and attentive service. The cosmopolitan cocktail was fantastic. We cannot fault our experience today and will certainly be back. Jashir is definitely a little gem in Oakham!!!!

I had a lovely honey chilli chicken that was both sweet spicy and delicious 10/10 would recommend. The staff have been kind, friendly and attentive throught.

The food and service were incredible, honestly the best curry I've had in years. The place is lovely, the disgusting conversation from the people at the next table ruined it a bit, but I've given the restaurant full marks because it wasn't their fault. We'll definitely go back, and I'll recommend it to friends and family. Only went in to check out what they've done with the old place, and found our new favourite spot.

Amazing food and lovely hospitality

I am an indian working in the UK and I have not found indian food so authentic so far. Jashir has Absolutely amazing indian food. Highly recommend to anyone! Dont miss Dahi chat, salt and pepper paneer, biryani, mushroom pilau rice.
